Chris: As an ex line infantryman the Brigade of Guards are the best for heading a column of infantry on the march. Their beat is more positive and and the percussion more prominent to aid keeping in step. For these reasons I do much prefer the Brigade of Guards bands. Yes, I also served in the Royal Marines.

A warm and kind reception by the people of Japan. A justifiably proud and cultured people appreciating the pageantry and artistry of others shows us we are all one people. Well done to all involved!

I wonder if Japanese people enjoy these performances as much as us Brits enjoy traditional Japanese parades and festivals?
I'd love one day to see a huge military parade by both British and Japanese military units and bands.

When they came marching out of the building, it reminded me of when I visited my friend Joe at Tuft’s University (in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA) decades ago. He said he wanted to show me something in their library. We went over there and inside it was quiet and nice, as all college libraries are, so I asked what was it he was showing me. He said in one minute I would find out. Then, a minute later, a marching band, in full regalia came bursting through the front doors, blasting for all their might, the Tufts University Football fighting song and proceeded to march through the entire library, then left, marching through the cafeteria and most of the other buildings! This was how they began football season every year at Tufts University!
I asked Joe if they had a winning football team and he just laughed.

「The Black Watch parade the Royal Mile Edinburgh 4K 720p」
