Cymbal player being a stand for a significant proportion of the time is among my favourite aspects of this performance. I'm sure it's quite commonplace, it's just very entertaining.
Oh! What a treat to listen to this wonderful marching band!!! And their band music was just great. The conductor didn't drag the melodic music at all. . Hurray!!!!! I'd like more!!!!!
Nay , they are British , as can be. The *Household Cavalry* ( HCav ) : *Blues and Royals ( Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons )* From Her Majesty's Own *Household Division* , London & Windsor , U.K. *HONI . SOIT . QUI . MAL . Y . PENSE* ( 1 Corinthians 15:1--4 [kjv] )
Because they are from the *HCav* and are normally playing on horseback , lead by the *CO Director of Music* and their kettle drum horse in front. ruclips.net/video/d_3k48mdmZM/видео.html [small back-ground info] *HONI . SOIT . QUI . MAL . Y . PENSE* ( *1 Cor. 15:1--4 + Eph. 2:8--9 [kjv]* )
Yes, he's a bit of a character. After conducting Highland Cathedral at a tattoo in Germany, he got a fantastic applause, from a colossal audience. Instead of saluting the audience, he held his left to his ear, and looked around with confusion. Absolutely brilliant!
Because they think they are, I mean I think this is a good band but the drum major looks lost without a mace and why wear spurs when they are marching on foot
It has to be said, our Blues and Royals always looks so stunning and handsome in their uniforms.
What a fantastic way to represent Britain.
Love our Heritage. Just fabulous, thanks for posting!
Our pleasure!
I absolutely ❤ a military band. I ❤ the Blues and Royals.

Lynxin792 - Journey. Don't stop believing.
Why does the drum major waft his arm like a magicians wand?
Because he can!
so weird the drum major has no mace

why do bands always dress like they are living in the 1800s?
David Boson It’s traditional in the British Army. If you haven’t served you have missed something!
1800? you mean 1600s
David Boson it's a very odd thing that some recent additions to the population have a struggle with. Look up "tradition" in the dictionary.
It's called tradition sonny, If you had served you would know how important that is, but you obviously have not served and have no clue
Because they think they are, I mean I think this is a good band but the drum major looks lost without a mace and why wear spurs when they are marching on foot
