I have had Davinci resolve a few years now (free version) with not many issues but the last 3 or 4 updates have caused loads of problems thumbnails not populating, freezing crashing ect in fact i have nearly pulled my hair out sometimes it worked ok for 10mins then froze or it would crash tried everything and in the end i bit the bullet and got the studio version and all that has disappeared so anybody having trouble with the free version i recommend the paid one.

If you're a Mac user you can edit 10-bit on the free version. Windows can't. I don't understand why, but that's the reason why you could but others couldn't.

I got resolve studio, it’s now my main go to for everything. Don’t need CapCut
DaVinci is so good I don't think I'll ever switch to anything again

Really? I was always told you have to buy Studio to edit 10 bit. I certainly can’t even play 10 bit on my MacBook Pro from my gh5 on the free one.
