- Here’s a new tribute from us Death To All dudes to our fallen brother, Mr. Chuck Schuldiner.
Artist: DEATH
Song: Zero Tolerance
Album: Symbolic
DEATH TO ALL is:
Steve DiGiorgio: Bass
Bobby Koelble: Lead and Rhythm Guitar
Max Phelps: Lead and Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals
Gene Hoglan: Drums
Drums recorded by Steve Brogden at Forge Audio
Drum video recording assisted by Cassie Morris at Forge Audio
Audio/video mixed by Steve Brogden at Forge Audio
...and there will be more to come.
Steve's bass playing is out of this world. It adds a extra dimension to an already perfect song.
100% He's an absolute tank here. Shame he didn't play on the album. As you rightly say, another dimension.
@@BillBuckingham I saw Gene saying, that Steve wrote this album's bass lines...
@@KM-sr71 Yeah I have heard Gene saying that even though Steve didn't recorded bass on Symbolic but he was involved in the entire writing process of this album.
Respeto tu opinión. Pero creo que digiorgio ensucia el tema. La lines de bajo del disco la encuentro super elegante y perfecta.
Steve's style is so loose yet tight as f@#k!
Gene Hoglan makes everything seem so damned easy... the man is just smooth as hell.
I mean, he _did_ write the drums, right? If anyone were going to make it look easy, it should be him.
They all make it look so easy. Such amazingly incredible musicians.
@Malcolm Reynolds he's also a really great lyricist.✍🧠
Whatafuck reality!!!!! Gene’s a fuckin atomic clock
Self taught as well !!!
25 years old and still as powerful as ever. Will still be listening to this in 2045!
25 years soon passes... :^O
Of course. As soon as I remember this melody gotta play it. Sometimes loud sometimes quiet.
Jef Loonheers I remember listening to death for the first time in 2005 and being being blown away. Gotta thank a random metal head who had a Death shirt for that. 15 years since my first exposure and it always feels like I’m listening to them for the first time
Haha 2045 will not exist
I apologize initial viewers, you can comment now if you like. Fixed the comment section...
Are you planning to do a album with new songs Gene?
@Neverman even though I'd love the idea I kinda have to be a party pooper but would it still have its signature death sound without chuck?
@gene also btw im not sure who in obscura wrote it but if you don't know it listen to "Incarnated" by Obscura.
they've been largely influenced by Death, Cynic and necrophagist and certain kinds of death like melodies and overall guitar playing shine sometimes through especially in their earlier stuff.
But definitly pls listen to "Incarnated" If you haven't heard yet I think it's a wonderful "tribute" to death without even being a cover.
Greetings from germany and keep up the good work
Thanks Gene, quality video as always!
There should be an option on RUclips for one person to do a thousand likes. I most certainly would. This is outstanding. 👍🇦🇺👍🇦🇺👍🇦🇺. (R.I.P. Chuck).
I look forward to more to come. You guys rock!
Three former members of Death collaborating with a guy who sounds just like Chuck. Perfect.
Big shouts to the vocalist. Chuck would be proud having Death's songs covered like this one.
That was amazing!
Isn't that his cousin? I remember seeing dta on tour and I remember hearing that it was his cousin playing and singing. Looks so much like Chuck too!
The singer isn't the guitarist with full black shirt? What's his name?
@@MrAD-mb9nh Yes he is. Max Phelps.
Sacred serenity please, Death- they never played this song it live.
Same with Destiny but I feel like it's because the song was about Chuck's brother who died when they were younger. Might have been too emotional for him to sing.
@@christianclark2748 Exactly, and seeing these guys who were original members playing that song would be awesome.
I agree and it's one of my favorite songs too.
Such a great great song
Every time Bobby plays that lead at 3:58 I get chills. Still my favorite Death lead to this day.🤘🤘🤘
Every song a masterpiece.
Next to Chuck, Bobby Koelble was THE guitarist of Death. His melodies, solos were so unique & awesome! 👌 🤘 👍
And andy laroque ?
@@gregoryguyonnot7348 Andy was only a quest guitar player for some solos on individual thought patterns album. Not a stable member of death.
I think Murphy is way more talented
As great as those others players are, none of them composed those amazing solos in Symbolic, it was Bobby, whose playing style is so unique.
Every guitarist that played with death was a guest lol.
Vocals are sounding very close to Chuck, well done. THIS IS NOT A GAME!!
Honestly, sounds so close, looks a bit like him, and even has the black explorer
@@DrBagel666 95% match
You all must be old, def and dumb. This sounds raspy and weak like he has one lung with pneumonia, tuberculosis and is asthmatic.
He would be fine in a 1980's thrash metal on a worn out cassette left in a hot car for a summer.
@@twistymcfistysback I have ZERO TOLERANCE for people with A LACK OF COMPREHENSION
"In the dark of night
Abusing a portion of light
While others are sleeping
And some are escaping
A serpent spews out fantasy-
Unjustified blasphemy
That cannot be condoned"- chuck (zero tolerance)
@@DrBagel666 Very creative, and yeah we all know the lyrics but it don't change the fact the vocal suck.
Iike good wine. The old boys only get better. "Trapped in a corner" would be awsome. Individual and symbolic were the best.
Trapped in a corner would be great song to hear
Would love it 😎👍 trapped in a corner has some of my favorite riffs and double bass parts on individual thought patterns, wow what an album. Remember the first time I heard it in high school...it still blows me away 😊🤘❤🔥
Totally agree with you
ITP and Symbolic are awesome albums, but you can not for get about the most aggressive Death album of all...HUMAN!!!!
For me, that was Death's greatest album!!
if they could get Andy LaRoque to play the solo, i'd pay them haha
Death/Chuck’s music just doesn’t age at all
It's just so f'cking good! It's timeless
Great song, great performance. You give a second life to Chuck's work.
Awesome 🤘❤️🤘
I hope that I would be able to see Death To All live after this pandemic is over.
Plandemic
It will never be over if people don't start standing up for their rights. 100% plan demic. Research people... Evil Chuck forever. Keep your minds open and powerful, just as Chuck did.
Hell yeeeeeahhh!!!! \m/
It will never be over.
I did and it was one of the best things that happened in my life
Man does this kick ass! Over 20 years and I still listen to Death all the time. I cant get enough of this!
bobby and his solo stank faces was as epic as the solos. haha it sounded awesome
Stank faces... Lol!!! 😂
I was extremely lucky to catch the DTA in LA a few years ago, I ditched work and got fired the next day, WORTH IT!
It is amazing to see Steve D playing songs from Death's albums in which he did not play. Please do a song from The Sound Of Perseverance.
Não tocou, mas participou do processo de composição do Symbolic. Se não me engano, não gravou o disco por causa do nascimento de um filho...mas não tenho certeza se foi isto mesmo. Se tiver interesse posso checar a informação.
He actually played on all demos but was unable to record (don’t recall why, health issues I think).
SPIR RRRRIT! CRUSSSSSHHHHHAAAAAAA!
@@rodrigo0303 He actually had to leave because he had to go back to Sadus
@@hugolafhugolaf he also had a kid ha
Gene, you are unmatched. Man plays so technical its impossible not to be really impressed by this drumming performance!
Gene and Dave Lombardo are the best metal drummers of all times.
Again, Bobby Koelble, such an underrated, awesome guitarist. Such fluid, imaginative playing. Awesome.
Every Bobby solo on Symbolic is amazing.
Solo at 4 min gets me every time I hear it...emotional! One of the most beautiful moments of music in an already amazing Death song.
Was thinking the same. Cheers!
Bobby killing those solos once again... Absolutely underrated guitarist.
This is the song, which turned me into a Death fanatic. That middle part with that solo and constant snare fill blew my mind and still blows it every time I listen to it.
Man Chuck wrote some absolutely crushing riffs, even when he took Death in the more Tech route. This just comes down like an avalanche!
This makes me want a new version of Symbolic with Steve playing bass
So cool that Steve adds his flair and it's seamless. I've just done quick Googling and Steve did record on the Symbolic demos, and its pretty similar to what he plays here.
@@arrell I wished he was able to play on the recording. And that album always seems to be the odd one out of reissue agreements
Fairly Secret Music the new reissues got remixed with more bass in the mix is why. I’ve read that Chuck always intended to have those remixes happen as he was never happy with the bass sound on Human or ITP. He of course never got around to that in life. He said Symbolic was the first album he thought was mixed perfectly and he didn’t think it needed to have anything done to it.
Fucking beautiful! Thank you!
Looking out for more in the future, original lineups playing each song.
Thank you for keeping Death Alive!
Nicely said :)
Please Gene upload the version that only You are playin. By the way this is a masterpiece. Respect the Steve 👍
Bobby's solo in this song is one of my fav Death solos ever
I imagine God shouting at Chuck "Yo! Come check this out"! And Chuck gets the biggest smile on his face...
You guys are wicked awesome! Much respect to you all \m/
More Death please! RIP Chuck, Sean & Scott.
Saw Death on the symbolic tour. One of the best shows I have ever seen. And Steve is a very underrated bass player. He is one of the greats
Death is the greatest ever, and this rules.
bought 3 versions of this album so far in my life. every part of every song is perfect, you all did great work back then and now.
That Sadus sound of the bass... ♥️
if any band deserves to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, that is DEATH!
The RRHOF is a joke. I think they inducted No Doubt. So yeah...
@@hugolafhugolaf really? No doubt?
this is not rock n roll man. fuck RnR hall of fame
Immensely sick, music hasn't aged a bit. Sounds as powerful and epic now as then.
Hey Bobby , how many frets do you have ?
Bobby : yes
Hey Steve...
Steve: no
Это насмешка над группой .death. и над чаком шульдинером.. джин хоглан ,я ещё понимаю..это барабанщик этой группы...но эти уроды!

Max is Chuck reincarnated
I see that Max has improved his energy/headbang-age. This was amazing!!! I loved every second of this video.
what a fuck people show respect to death metal legends !!!!!!!!!go to 1000000 views! killer song!!!!!!
Rest In Peace Chuck.
Your legacy is being carried on by these so down-to-earth and legendary guys.
This is even more meaningful with the not-so-long-ago loss of Sean Reinert. RIP Sean & RIP Clendenin.
The remaning members, please take care of yourselves. We need your music for years to come.
BTW, Bobby Koelble's Abysmal Dawn t-shirt is amazing! 😎
6:30 am WAKE UP music!! Other bands: Do you want a job? Death To All: Do you want to WORK? That’s what this kind of music takes; work! Epic as always, guys! Mad respect!!
Awesome Gene! Thanks you guys for doing this! Love it!
Play empty words
L'immortalità delle canzoni di un gruppo chiamato Morte... magnifico. Mi scende una lacrima ogni volta. Grazie di cuore al mio batterista preferito di esistere... Saluti dall'Italia
Grande simo
This is sooooooo perfect. Gene, could you please upload your drumcam video too please? A good cover of this song is no where to be found.
Bobby's solos are something that no one else can't play so stunningly! Inimitably! Belissimo! 👌
Bobby's solo was flawless... My God one of my favorite Death songs played spot on once again...Chuck's legacy will never end
AMAZING!!!!! My favorite track from my favorite album from Death: Symbolic!
Thank you, Mr Atomic Clock!
Ottimo lavoro!!
Anche Chuck, ne sarebbe rimasto contento di questa esibizione 🤝🤟
New tour!
Great video to start up the day🤘🎸🥁😁😎🤘🏻🤘🏻horns up and keep up the good work! Greetings from the Netherlands.
What a kick ass rendition
That Bobby solo though…
I uh, I love you? Hee hee this was freaking GREAT! The entire piece was MASTERFULLY played (makes sense, you got 3 of the original composers on it XD) However, my FAVORITE part is BY FAR how well and CLEAN the BASS is mixed. My GOD hearing Steve just warbling through the whole mix brings and ENTIRELY different dynamic to the piece. WELL done Gene, as always. THANK YOU for doing these covers. I know you all tend to play MOSTLY material from Symbolic and earlier, but if you could take a swing at The Flesh and The Power it Holds, I would be FOREVER grateful!
this is so very awesome to see so much respect paid to chuck. absolutely awesome performance by each one of you! cheers my metal brothers!
Steve Brogden, thank you for ensuring the bass can be heard.
It had to be done!
Legend my fav death album symbolic 🤘
Yes Chuck forever 🤘
Yees Gene sooo great!! It's one of my favorit Song of symbolic Album... 👊🤘 play Crystal Mountain...too.... 👊👊👊Steve DiGiorgio on the bass
I Fucking Love DEATH!!! You're missed Chuck, Scott Clendenin and Sean Reinert 🙌🏾✨️
Amazing Gene 👍🤜🥁🤛👍🎤🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘. Greetings from Las Vegas N.V.
Fantastic!
Just one word outstanding hope Chuck enjoy this amazing tribute I enjoy this Yesterday in Gdl Mexico
spiritual dimension MUST BE DTA FOREVER!!! DON'T RUIN THE PROJECT PLS
Max Phelps should apologiaze before singing at CHUCK place... SHAME OF YOU!!
Killer job by the crew and Max is soooo damn close to Chuck it's eerie !!! Check out Max's band Exist, you won't be sorry, the new album sounds like it's going to be killer !
I'd be very annoyed listening to anyone else playing this song on the 🥁
Steve's bass playing is out of this world.--> YES But his hair needs condition ind his beard as well
Gene--looks perfect perfect hair!
Bobby Koelble - Open Hair nice.. but last time I see you in BOCHUM Germany did you have Rasta Locks ??
Terrible!!! Change that! ;)
This just makes me, once again, wish that Steve stayed around long enough to record bass for the album.
Even if it is flawless, and my favourite of all time, the bass does not shine like the other 90's Death albums.
OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS this for real? Is that SDG playing sick fretless in the bayou over Zero Tolerance? Is that Gene looking like a million bux owning one metal's most iconic beats ? My eyes deceive me but my ears hear Chuck's guitar and voice??? I didn't know Bobby Koelbel looked like that ?!? No but he is just mastering the shit out of those leads my god. I am throwing in the towel. SDG is just the best . All basses direct to trash compactor SDG is god. No. I will never give up bassing especially not fretlessing . Besides, pffff you guys know I would never hurt a bass guitar. I absolutely LOVE this project and ladies and gentleman I've had my share ... but this gets me really excited. Keep up the great work and please pump out some more. But my god....SDG!!!!!
Wow this is just incredible, I have goosebumps! Now my dream is to hear it live...
Obviously LOVE seeing all the players perform. Would it be possible for us drummer however to see a Gene only version? HAIL CHUCK SCHULDINER! GODS!
Nice to hear this with DiGorgio's fretless work. As beautiful of an album as _Symbolic_ is, who _wouldn't_ want to hear it with Steve on bass? Kelly Conlon basically just followed the guitar riffs. It worked out fine, but _Individual Thought Patterns_ is a bass extravaganza. If DEATH TO ALL really want to mine a deep track, I choose "Destiny."
Awesome work my friend, cant wait to hear and see more....
"Cry" Holy fucking hell man......Miss hanging with ya and Gill in you Honda Accord going to places and drinking! (Respect for the Vox, dude, *Bow!)
Love all the different camera angles in this. Thank you guys, you rule!! 🤘🏻 Keeping the metal flowing!
the best rhythm line (bass-drums) of death metal
DiGiorgio and hoglan...... monsters !!!!
I don't like the voice at all
keep the metal faith alive !!
Great...but BOBBYs rhytm guitar should sound better. Anyway: thank you as always, maestro!!!!
Don't let Schuldiner's legacy die!
Greetings from Brazil!
ROFL after the performance, the bassist looks like he probably finished skinning the deer he just killed. Based
100% DEATH.Great job, thanks for that. Hope when everything back to normal You make a tour. Do not forget visit Poland.
Good shit
Such a beautiful, sonorous timbre to that vocalist's voice. I'd love to hear him sing Perry Como's "And I Love You So," or something like that. But seriously folks, I think if everyone in the world listened to this band, I think it truly would result in "Death to All." Is that what they're trying to accomplish? Because they're doing a hell of a job of it.
Killer! Best possible lineup of former Death guys for DTA. The best musicians of the bunch. Also, it looks like Steve is playing his old green 5 string ESP that he used back in his Sebastian Bach days. Also...it is weird seeing Bobby play a 7 string..especially for a Death tune. I have mixed feelings on 7 string guitars.
AN ODE TO Mr. Chuck Schuldiner. THE BEST DEATH METAL BAND FOREVER
Hi Gene,
I just fell for sure this memorable concert ruclips.net/video/kzzEyfHSG-A/видео.html , which for me is the best performance in video of "Death" that I have ever seen, how powerful, the voice of chuck is extraordinary, the tempo, what osmosis! For me Gene, you are one of the best drummers in the world
I miss Chuck.
Max Phelps has a voice very similar to Chuck, we believe it!
Either way, you're doing a really good job in honor of Chuck, thank you for that!
Good morning from France
Damn that guys voice is Killer! Gave me Chills. Rest in peace Chuck
YESSSSSSSSSSS this is one of my favorite death songs of all time
Brilliant 👏👏👏👏 stoked on this !!
Thank you. 🍻
Thank you Master Gene for this awesome video Guys...thank youuu 🤘🤘🤘
Fuckin' A!!! 🤩
Excellent performance!! Tribute that truly makes honor and justice to the master. Salute! Pro-work. 🤟🏻🤟🏻💯
Thank you for keeping the metal spirit alive. I saw Death tour without Chuck first time at Noorderligt NL 1990. From then on I never missed a show around here. In 1995 I talked with a tall guy in the public about the support act and metal in general. Happen to be Gene I found out later that night when Death played their show. I also went to both DTA tours more recent. I hope you guys will see the chance to tour again with DTA and play at a large metal show here in Europe. Graspop, Hellfest, Dynamo or sort like.
2021 B.C. Rich announces on chuck's birthday they will do a second run of chucks guitars both korean and american made.
This so fucking awesome, classic Death right here. Vox are on point, RIP Chuck.
Yes. Chuck Schuldiner forever.
Such a loss for the music world.
But, i think, Perennial Quest will be a best tribute to him.
My favorite drummer id never forget that night at house of blues dethklok metalocalypse was the secret guest at the Steve Vai and Joe Satriani show I was lucky to be front row and Gene is the Atomic clock I wasnt expecting to see him up front it was mind blowing and top of that after the show I saw Gene waiting for his car I was hesitant to approach him I respect his privacy u know but I also realized not everyday I get to see my favorite metal drummer and it might by my only chance to say hello and I went to him nervous because I might get rejected but man he was ultra COOL I got to get a picture with him that was to me priceless and after I got to my car I went to Blast Strapping Young Lad The New Black album I so love his playing in that album anyway THANK YOU MR Gene Hoglan Aka Atomic Clock for not Rejectin me like other rockstars would do ur awesome 🤘
