This album came out in 1995, there last one was in 1998 before the singer Chuck died in 2001. He designed the band's logo. Gene Hoglan is the drummer for this album and also on the one before this called 'Individual Thought Patterns' The guitarist for King Diamond is also on that album. Their first album 'Scream Bloody Gore' was composed all by Chuck when he was 20, he wrote all the guitars, bass and vocals and it's coined as the first true death metal record.
chuck wasnt just a singer. he was death - he was the guitarist, singer, song writer and composer. as well as band manager ) the oldschool red logo was designed by kam lee, not chuck.
Chuck also did some demos with clean vocals, you can find them on the tube, he sounds more like Rob Halford. I did not see Chuck, but was fortunate enough to see and VIP with the band on some of the Death To All shows in 2012. These guys are great personally. I'd recommend some tunes from the Human album, the drummer and guitarist is from a band called Cynic, they have some jazz influence.
Gotta love Death! Gene Hoglan is an all time great drummer. You should do Story to Tell, you want a different sounding Chuck then Sound of Perseverance is the place to go. And Story to Tell is a great song from that album.
