Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for your patience. This channel has grown so rapidly that it is difficult for me to respond to all the comments. Rest assured, I will continue to attempt to respond to a majority of the comments when I have the opportunity. I have the business to run, family time, spiritual time, and videos to work on. I am grateful for everyone's support and appreciate your interaction. All of your comments are read even though I may not respond immediately. Let's keep it growing and I will keep it going! God bless.

Ron... I never thought that watching tow trucks would be so much fun and quite interesting. After about the third one I watched, I subscribed. Glad you have an emergency vehicle status, even though the reds and blues are still ignored on the freeway- except by professional drivers. Glad to see you keep upgrading any device that can maybe keep you alive out there. Living is good... Bless you...

I once worked with a crew in Texas changing out cobrahead street lights to LEDs and I was in one of the TMA trucks with a very large, very bright arrow board on the back pointing traffic away from the work sites, but such is life, some people just can't seem to process that it wasn't there for decoration and a lady hit one of the other guys trucks as a result. Thankfully the fold-down crash barrier did its job and there were no injuries, but it could have been avoided had she not been on her phone while driving! This is why there is such an extreme push to enforce laws against distracted driving. It kills! I have nothing but respect for your attention to detail and your safety conscious professionalism Ron. Keep up the good work.

"And thank you for watching" Ron, there is no reason to thank us, like somce my dad doesn't video when he does his tows, it always nice to watch a fellow tow brother's towing adventure and also see what carp y'all go through and especially in Missouri nobody pays attention to their surroundings so I have a t-shirt idea for if u decide to release merchandise. It should be bright yellow with reflective strips on the sleeves, and on the front it should say we bust ours to save yours and on the back it should say slow down move over.

It does amaze me how day to day drivers always steer towards you. No matter how many warnings you give them.
There should be a national attempted and or manslaughter laws for interfering with or causing harm to first response crews.
And if you think tow and recovery drivers are not first responders or at risk. I invite you to come try it as a vehicle zooms by you within a few inches.

Ron, I think you must have been a traffic cop in a former life. You did a great job blocking traffic for Talon to get in position. I was worried about the school representative getting hit. He was not paying attention to traffic moving behind him. I would have asked him to stand on the other side or sit in the truck or bus. I like the arrow, and agree with others saying it's hard to see in the daylight. Thanks for the video. Great job as always.

Talon's getting quicker! Heckuva good job! About 12 years ago, I had a High School friend get really "Messed Up" when he was towing a trailer, and his truck broke down. A car ran into his trailer, when he was between the trailer and his pickup. He ended up needing a walker. He died about 4 years ago, because of the injuries.

That arrow board is a nice improvement. Other than a dark backing like others have mentioned, the other suggestion I would have to help you stay safe out there is a portable sign you can leave on the road a bit in advance of a scene to give drivers an advance warning, like this one: www.thefirestore.com/store/product.aspx/productId/31659/Dicke-Fold-Roll-Fluorescent-Pink-Emergency-Traffic-System-Accident-Ahead-Sign/

I think you could do with some black backing behind the arrow Board just to make it that much more visable during daylight, have it on like a hinged so you could fold the backing down when its not in use to reduce drag when driving.

Cut an arrow shape to match the lights but about 4x wider than the light bar itself in a perforated metal (mega pasta strainer) painted black. Gives the lights a contrasting background and should make them stand out more, without drastically increasing drag (especially if you can curve the metal to deflect air somewhat)

I understand what thought prosses is with cones and traffic signs. I'm being taught the same for long term high risk recoverys but for short throw and goes like this video my boss says the longer I stand on the road the higher the chance of being hit is. I guess my opinion is the more time spent with cones ect putting your self in traffic ups the risk of a accident

Your current traffic control method works wonders! But I still think getting a police vehicle fresh out of service (Governor reinstalled for safety and ?legal? reasons) - light bars, sirens, computer mount and all - would be an excellent addition to your fleet. You could print out customers' invoices right from the car, you'd have cherries, berries, and sirens ready and available for when you'd need it. And with the lights and sirens running, your company could easily make a quick response to most situations to assess (Or to respond to a request for traffic control).
Just a few more ideas from me, Ron. God Bless you and your family. A very special shout out to those in your profession; Busy traffic and waiting to pull onto the road, rollback stopped up traffic for me to get through. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

A potentially low-cost option could also be an impact attenuator on one of your rollbacks, with its wheel lift lowered and set in place (I hope I'm using the right term!) to further anchor it. I'd say you should put one on the rotator, but with all the weight that thing can lift, I don't think anything short of a tractor trailer is going to uproot it!
May our Lord Bless you and Keep you safe.

Another great recovery Ron. Nice big arrow on new board, & seen several car come right up to back of truck.... I guess if they did not see the big tow truck & flashing lights sitting there, how were we to expect them to see the arrow... Very dangerous with the other drivers so close.

    Great communication
    Awesome traffic control
Safety of the kids was handled very well
A “slow down, Move Over sign would have gotten more people’s attention.
Great job by talon for hookin and bookin
The school administrator should have been kept near the guard rail instead of in the ‘kill zone’ but great job nonetheless.

Ron, weld some short pipe sleeves on the outside of the roll back side rails to drop the stop sign handle into. That would be better than sticking it into the top of a cone.

Another great video.... great to see the new arrow but you need something dark behind it to help with contrast and make it even more effective

You/ve probably addressed this by now, but a small 3" flat black border on the arrow board makes a HUGE difference, similar to what they put around all traffic lights.

You can buy fold up saw horses and small construction barriers cheaply these days, you could fit signs and lights to a couple of those to deploy at the scene .

Good progress, Ron. MUCH safer traffic control. I agree with m9 ovich, a black background on your arrow board would be more effective.

That seems to be the general consensus. I will have to look into that. We threw this up quickly to get it in use. I promise you that it is VERY bright, even though it doesn't appear to be so through the eye of the camera. Thanks, friend. God bless.

Hi Ron: Got several questions but wanted to say this first. As a former heavy duty wrecker driver I want to compliment you on your videos, knowledge, and the way you narrate your videos. You are the only one I watch on youtube. Now for the questions. Are you the only wrecker company in your area? If not, are you on a call rotation? How far do you cover police calls from your home base? How far away from you is another heavy duty wrecker company? Have you ever had to call another heavy duty wrecker from another company to assist you in a recovery situation? If you had the money to purchase more wreckers what would your choice be? By choice I mean like another rotater, rollback, or another one like your Peterbilt? Your new arrow stick looks great. If I may suggest, is to figure out a way for a magnet mount arrow stick that could be set up on the wheel lift or something to tie down on the end of the bed of your rollback. That way it would be lower and in better eyesight for cars. Again I really like your videos and look forward to more. God Bless you and your family and all your employees. Be safe.
