Thank you for the field trip.
Here I was as somebody into buses, trains, streetcars, etc. a little over a year & a half ago curious to see if there was a video on RUclips of a bus being towed... Never would I of guessed I would discover such an amazing channel & service. Keep up the great work, Ron!
6 years later, this is still one of the best videos out there
Thanks for the verbal description as you tie it up. interesting about the stop sign too... Excellent teaching.
Thank you for watching my channel. God bless
Hey Ron, wanna edit this guy out and gone?
I apologize for that one slipping through the filter. I had already deleted one remark and somehow that one found its way on here. Thanks so much for helping me catch that one. So sad that folks feel the need to post such trash. God bless and thanks again.
Ron Pratt
You do a nice job of creating good content that should offend no-one. You teach being polite and respectful by example, and get across the concept of working to earn a living, and to take pride in that work. What the heck is wrong with people to leave nasty remarks about you, and we who enjoy watching what you do. I will never drive a tow truck, especially at my age, but its fun to ride along with you on youtube and enjoy the challenges and successes with you.
yes you do
hi Ron I just wanted to say your a good tow truck driver and one of the nicest where I live people don't take care of the customers car don't keep maintenance on their trucks but you try and be nice and I respect that i do this with my dad so god bless you and have a good day Ron
Thank you very much for such kind words. I do appreciate your interest and you watching my channel. Say "hello" to your dad from Midwest Truck. Stay safe and God bless.
Ron Pratt I will and thanks god bless
The other day I was watching some of RepoNut's videos on autoplay, fell asleep, woke up to this video and spent way too long while half asleep trying to figure out how a school bus got repossessed...lol.
Then I realized it was Ron Pratt. Your videos are great. No drama, and very interesting. And you bring a level of calm to tough situations in a way I doubt few people ever could. I don't know how you do it day in and day out, but well done!

I miss RepoNut.... He got me into watching tow vids... Now I watch Ron every week.
I sure enjoyed watching you secure the bus for towing! I am a retired school bus driver and it brought back memories seeing the inside of the bus.
Hi Ron. I love watching your videos, it reminds me of my towing days. When I had to tow a bluebird I always like to chain the rear axle to gain clearance on the front bumber. You gotta love how versatile mediums are. Stay safe.
Hey you forgot to sound horn 3x when you backed up lol you do a great job Ron keep up the good work
Like the new ad, I believe you lift people up also here on RUclips. Keep safe Ron and god bless
Excellent video and commentary Ron. It was nice to see a bit of the scenery around your part of the world. Stay safe and God bless.
Thanks so much for watching and for your positive comments. God bless.
Amazing how prepared this guy is.
Watching these reminds me of the time I was a heavy wreaker driver while serving our country in Germany. Im 63 and I bet I could do it again if had the chance,. love your videos.
Great video and very professional. This isn't just for entertainment but you add so much information to the video!
LJMTexas ii
What coverage do you drive for
902
LJMTexas right i just noticed that
It said it somewhere in the video
Hi Ron, I had no idea that there is a Scott City, Missouri, though I know of the one in Kansas. Learn something new everyday. I have driven school buses for 35.5 years and continue doing so. Have a great day!
I’m glad I’m not the only one who waves at everyone when driving a big commercial vehicle! My boss laughs because I’m always waving 👋🏼 LOL
good service Ron.......
Thank you and for watching as well. Take care and God bless.
I'm subscribing because this is a real recovery job. This isn't a cheesey recovery show. what no one likes. this is real and thank you for that. THANK YOU :) :)
Thank you, yes what you see is real....and my life LOL. I am so glad you enjoy the channel and I hope you continue to find value in the videos. Thanks for watching and God bless.

Many thanks for taking us along on the ride to the shop. Its always interesting to look at the local scenery along with your verbal description. Very much appreciate your videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for watching and I am glad you enjoyed the video tour. God bless.
You mentioned the flood a few weeks back. The Castor river had me isolated for almost a week. Good video and thanks.
Thanks, Ron. I do enjoy the peaceful pace of your videos, and the calm you always seem to have.
Of course, I'm not driving so it's easy to be calm and just ride along...
45 years later I still remember where my k-8 driver lived just down the street. Drivers would take their buses home at the end of the day.instead of to a fleet yard.
How does the district pay for the repairs and tow?
They still do that in some places.
Another job done in a professional way ....your videos are so much enjoyment to so may of us senior folks....thanks for sharing... blessings. Stay safe.....🙏👠👠
This video was my introduction to Midwest truck 2 years ago now. Crazy how fast time goes by.
Another great video. It's nice to see regular tows as opposed to wrecks. Have a great day and God bless. Oh love that logo.
I'm only 11 yrs old and I'm into this kinda stuff and when I clicked on this video I instantly subbed
Welcome to my channel and I am so glad you like the videos. If you have any questions, just shoot me a comment and I will try to respond. God bless and thanks for watching.

Ron not only are you an expert at your job you are one of the if not the most polite person its been my pleasure to watch on you tube, or any other social media out let for that matter Regards Darren UK
Thanks so much Darren. I try to offer respect to each person I come into contact with. I appreciate you watching my channel and I am glad you enjoy it. God bless.
can you make a video talking about the worst accidents youve responded too? thank you and to your crew for all the work you guys do making sure that the roads stay clean from wrecks.
I love how effectively and efficiently you do your job.. Bravo!
Thanks so much for the kind words. God bless.
Ron Pratt i cant help but watch all of them.. Loving it
Absolutely one of my favorite vids and Ron taking time to make sure the kids was safely transferred was an awesome.
I did drive school bus and find this video very interesting. Thank you for the nice scenery and comments.
Thanks for your kind remarks and thank you for transporting children safely. God bless and keep watching.
I bought myself a pair of those 10ft retracting ratchets from watching you and they are my go to for small light stuff. It saves me time from grabbing my 27foot 3 inch straps that I have for big stuff
Something Like this happened to my bus, I was riding the bus and where I live it tends to get muddy, And Once we get into this dead end holler we got stuck in mud we had to call a wrecker to get us out. That was the best thing Thats happened on my bus
That wrecker is absolutely beautiful
I do enjoy your attention to detail especially when it comes to safety. Especially when children are involved!!!
Thank you so much and I appreciate you watching my channel. Our kids are our most important investment, so no short cuts. God bless and thanks for watching.
nice tour of your area .. looks like a great place to be
I have lived here my entire life and I don't know if anywhere else would feel like home. It's a small town, not without issues, but it's home. Thanks for watching and God bless.
The wheels on the bus go round and round... unfortunately the motor didn't keep up ;) Great vid. Have a wonderful day, stay safe and God bless you.
Good one, yes that is about the size of what happened. Okay, now that song will be stuck in my head for days!!!! LOL Thanks for watching and God bless.
A very enjoyable ride back to the shop with the school bus. The ride was enjoyable and the scenes reminded me of homes that people enjoyed. Thanks for the ride. Looking forward to more well done videos. 16-Nov-2018
It's nice to see businesses that care about their communities.
"Midwest Towing, Lifting You Up." Excellent byline, Ron. I've not seen it before. Great post.
Which music is this?
creds to u for being very calm and friendly. most tow truck drivers in Britain will be hot, sweaty and swearing about them doing this and rolling under the bus and throwing things about etc
I have seen those behaviors as well and they never reflect positively in any situation. I try (not 100% successful) to keep my cool. When you are under pressure to get the job accomplished quickly and safely sometimes it gets difficult. Thanks so much for commenting and watching my channel. God bless.
Et
Thanks Ron for showing. Real real professional preparing those tiny details to perform this job. Good job done helping those people.
Thanks so much for the nice comments and for watching. God bless.
Thanks for showing us your part of the world! Nice tour. Did not realize your town/county is right on the Mississippi.
thank you for the tour. enjoyed it very much.😁
ron i love your videos because it is amazing seeing how you work and showing the life of a tow truck driver i hope i can be one soon it seems like a job that id love to do
Another Great video Ron,I didn't know the involvement of rear towing a bus. I really liked the video , I truly appreciate the time and knowledge you put into your videos, Thank You.Ron ,you and the crew Be Safe ,All The Best and God Bless
Ultra thanks Rotator Ron! The drive back to your shop was excellent! It gives us viewers more of an idea what Scott city is like. Perhaps a shop tour if you have time? I sure as heck would enjoy it! Stay safe!
I am so glad you enjoy the channel and part of the more rural side of our town. I will work to include more of the shop tours when I can. Thanks so much for watching and God bless.
I love your channel sir! I am a third generation tower in Tennessee and I love learning more about the industry. Hopefully one day I can get into medium and heavy towing. Interesting tid bit on the stop sign! Keep up the good work sir!
Thank you very much from a fellow towing and recovery guy. I am so glad you find the channel interesting. Thanks for watching, stay safe out there and God bless.
I love the hum of that engine fan
Considerate, concise, precise, efficient. Always a pleasure to watch you at work. Be safe.
Thanks so much for the kind words. God bless and thanks for watching.
Thanks much for the tour!
Awesome mate i watch your videos all the time and new sub...keep up the good work ron and hello all the way from new-zealand👍
awesome video. it was cool to see the trip back. i normally don't see that.
I am glad you found it enjoyable. Thanks for watching my channel and God bless.
Hello from Scotland. Really enjoying the videos Ron. I did 24 hour recovery some years ago and loved it, but the shifts were killers - 2 days on, 2 days off constant, eat and sleep when you could. I spent the first day of the 2 days off in bed! Then I got the best job of all - collecting cars for auction from all over the country with a twin-deck transporter and regular hours.
Take care, stay safe, and God bless.
Thanks for watching my channel! We are a small family operation and I answer the phone 24/7, 365! The nights are certainly the worst as well as the heat, but you already know that routine. I look forward to those days I can sleep in my friend. God bless and thanks for the kind comments.
Great trip through the country there. Beautiful area. Thanks for taking us along.
I am so glad you enjoyed the mini tour of our little town. Thanks for watching and God bless.
May God Bless and keep you safe too, my brother.
Enjoy your commentary and description of the area. Almost like being there.
Good, I am so glad you enjoyed this video. We live in a very small town and I don't always get the chance to give a short tour! Thanks for watching and God bless.
I have to chuckle when you say small town and I see where you're driving. Where I come from (mid-Canada, farming community) our town is two miles long and has about 1000 people. It seems your town is a little bigger!
Was going to comment about brakes, but forgot that only the rear had spring brakes.
And from the shifting sounds, sounds like the Pete has a Super 10...
I really enjoy the people and their manners in your neck of the woods. Here in orlando Fl, the only hand gestures you normally see are the not-so-nice ones
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Ron.
Just shows you don't always require the piledriver of the fleet, sometimes the smaller truck works better than the big 'Tater.
Kenneth James my name is tater
While it's always great to overcome a problem with maximum force, or to put it another way it's always nice to use the "big hammer," It's also cool to use JUST the right tool for the job - no overkill, the proverbial "just right."
Well I will go with it
I think that you have some very cool trucks that you use
He does have a lot of cool "toys" ;-)
Thank you very much for the compliments on our trucks. I appreciate you watching the videos and God bless.
Ron Pratt your welcome
I love cops, firefighters, ambulance, and tow trucks
Ron love the way you always are educating in your videos. You have such a positive attitude in your dealing with your employees and members of the public.
That’s prolly the funnest thing to happen to kids in summer school bc they bored
The engine fan serves two purposes. It provides cooling for the engine coolant and it also comes on when the air conditioning is used. In the case of the air condition in the heat removal process is what is know as head pressure on the a/c compressor. The fan removes that heat also allowing that pressure to come down.
Those are some good tough buses Bluebird. rarely break or have mechanical problems awesome job hooking her up
Thank you and God bless.
I'm from Wales in the UK I'm loving the videos stay safe working on the road Ron
Thanks for watching and God bless.
God bless you too
great video and please be safe out there GOD BLESS
Another great recovery job Ron, well done. I love all the states in USA but you really do live in a beautiful area with all that greenery. stay safe and god bless. pat. uk.
Thanks for the comments and our area is a mixture of hills and flat farmland. Lots of green......and lots of mowing. LOL Thanks for watching and God bless in the UK.
Hi Ron I wood like to say your videos on your rotater and your ather tow trucks are very educational for someone who once to own thear own business. I will like to say thank you for sharing your videos on RUclips. Cheers Jarrod from NZ
Thank you very much for the positive comments and I am glad you find the videos valuable. Take care and God bless.

Mr. Pratt, I was just curious, I see you attach your safety chains straight on. When I was trained in a wrecker I was always told to criss cross them. Any input would be appreciated 😁
Same bro
Ron Pratt is so polite and kind to everybody that he interacts with
Thank you for the positive comments. I try to be polite always. My treatment of the customers is what leaves a lasting impression as well as the units we use. I don't take chances with either. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Your a real trooper, badass truck, enjoyed the ride. Carry on Sir,thank you.
Great video Ron! I'm thankful it wasn't my school bus I'm driving for my summer lunch program! You are truly a Blessing for your area of Missouri! Mark in southeast Iowa. I enjoy your channel! Mark.
Thanks so much for watching Mark from Iowa! I don't know how well I would do driving a bus full of kiddos on a regular basis. LOL I am glad yours is in working order. God bless and stay safe.
Ron Pratt Ron you are always more than welcome! I actually drive a special needs bus during the regular school year. I'm in my 8th year with my hometown school district. Stay Blessed Ron! Mark in Iowa.
That truck is perfect for that job. Would have been a lot different in the 1150R trying to get through them junctions without taking the stop signs out.
Thank you and yes, it was the perfect job for the beast. Thanks for watching and God bless.
To tow a greyhound bus Ron would have to use the rotator or the Western star v70
Great video Ron. I thought that the description of the area was a pretty good idea.
Thanks for sharing and God bless
Thanks for the positive comments and God bless.
Another interesting recovery and I am so pleased to see you respecting the need for anonymity of the school kids doing your best to protect them for what's out there to prey on them In some cases I am sorry to say sometimes from their own families but hey you did a great job a good tow home all safe and sound well done my friend... God bless you and yours......
Thank you very much for your loyal viewing and positive comments. I do appreciate them very much. I am always so cautious with the kids. It is a shame to have to do so, but I felt that was the safest thing to do. Thanks again and God bless my friend.
Here in the UK, it is actually illegal to film a minor and post it anywhere without the written permission of their parents or guardian which I personally think is the law doing right for once...God bless you and yours.....
Really cool stuff! I like the (I'm assuming it's new) logo at the beginning of the video
Ditto
Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go! LOL 😁
I'm a retired school transportation director/driver from north mississippi. great video!
My hat is off to you for sure. That is definitely not an easy job to do. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Thanks. Stay safe.
thanks for protecting the children
my dad and I also tow in pa knew what is it like to tow we have three trucks love what your doing and remember you never work a day in your life if you in joy it
God bless
Thanks for the positive remarks. I appreciate a fellow recovery and tower for sure. It's a tough gig, but can be so very rewarding. Thanks for watching, God bless and stay safe out there.
Thank you Ron, i learn something new every time i watch your videos.keep up the good work
Great videos!! But could you close cover on the 12v port ...lol
I will do my best to remember that one. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Mr.Pratt Thank for sharing this video.I seen tons of truck get towed. But this is first time i seen a bus getting ready to be towed. That the only way to go is the cordless flashing bar light.
As always thank you for the wicked video !! god bless and keep the rubber on the road!
Thank you for continuing to watch the channel. I am so glad you enjoy it and I appreciate your comments. Keep em' coming. God bless.
I love these kinds of channels. Just some guy doing his job and filming it. Really enjoy it.
I was actually going to get in to towing myself, though I went for security as I can work with a dog. But truly an interesting job!
You and your truck always do a really great job I love all of your videos
Another great job done by Ron.
Great video and did not know all the tricks to towing a school bus. It appears you do not downshift when coming to a stop or slowing for a sharp turn and the tach looks to drop to idle RPM. I thought downshifting was recommended to conserve the brakes. Keep the vids coming as I learn something from each one.
I am so glad you are enjoying the videos. God bless.
He uses an engine brake to conserve the brakes.
Thanks for an interesting channel, with for a nice change No Swearing. I'm a retired bus driver so I appreciate that you noticed the overhangs :) which a lot of people don't notice (until it's too late).
Good Job Ron, bit it’s a 3 man job All the Old Used to New American Built School Buses are my favorite. I am from Detriot Michigan
Ron, you right good at eyeballing distance.
This will be interesting (haven't even started watching)
