  • My Third Vlog! All about dealing with panic attacks!
    HUGE thank you to every person who contributed to this vlog, you're all wonderful
    Here are the tips in list form!
    - Know your triggers! (but don't avoid them!)
    - 'Be okay' - app
    - 'Panic shield' app
    - Sprays and herbal meds! (i use; www.boots.com/b... ....... and .........www.kalmsrange...)
    - Embrace it! Ride the wave! 'don't ask WHY this is happening, but ask WHAT is happening and HOW am i going to respond?'
    - Take yourself out of the situation momentarily, go outside or to a less crowded room
    - Have someone you can call or talk to - 'Anxiety held in holds more power'
    - Cold water on your wrists
    - Sing a calming song, or in your head if you can't sing out loud right now!
    - Calming smells, bottle of lavender or incense stick in your bag
    - Ride the storm - use the energy!
    - Fake it til you make it!
    - Medications (PLEASE do your research thoroughly before you take)
    - Animal cuddles!
    - Have a few tips ready for yourself. e.g how to leave a situation
    - 5 things you can see, 4 you can feel, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, 1 you can taste!
    Helping someone during a panic attack;
    - Try to stay calm! It can be a scary experience for you too!
    - Try not to tell them to 'calm down' or 'not think about it'
    - Try not to make assumptions on their behalf
    - Try to help them calm their breathing
    - Subtly change the conversation
