Hey, I’m so sorry for my slow reply! Thankyou so so much for your lovely comment. How wonderful of you to be researching and helping your girlfriend out - it can be really confusing to be the partner of someone who lives with mental health issues, you’re a warrior like the rest of us ☺️

@@speakyourmindm.h5794 Thanks so much for the kind response. Unfortunately, things did not work out and I knew I had to let go because I felt being with her would not help her. Especially with the long distance and her family not thinking it was a good idea for me to stay with her. I do wish her the best and I know she will get through this. It open my eyes as well on anxiety and depression and to be more compassionate to people going through it. You are amazing as well for all the help and support you doing to help people understand as well as being strong about it. You and so much like you are the true warriors and I have so much respect for that. Thank you again for your response 🤗❤️

l was taking citalopram for years when a serious illness forced me to think about why .I came to conclude that I was only taking them to to alter my personality to please other people . I am now me and people can either like it or lump it. That was my road to Damascus .

Thanks for sharing. I’m starting Cymbalta which is how found you and your Vlog. I’ve been on many others that have not worked. I did try Lexapro which is the newer form of Citilapram but it wasn’t doing anything for me but I did love that it gave me no harsh side effects and I was able to come off it pretty easily compared to other antidepressants I’ve tried. Ive also been on Mirtazapine for 10 + years but it has ‘pooped’ out which can happen if you are on an antidepressant for a long period of time. So that’s why I’m adding a new one on and hoping this combo works for me. 🤞🏻 Good luck with your journey. Can’t wait to see how it all turns out for you.

I started Citalopram 5 days ago the first 3 days were good but these last 2 days have been horrible. Im not sure if it’ll get better ? But I have seen that it gets worse before it gets better , still have a bit of hope

Hi , everything has been better , the first two weeks were definitely the hardest . I feel a lot more calm , my overthinking and my negative thoughts have almost stopped. I hardly get panic attacks now and when I do end up having one it’s way easier to calm myself down and bring myself back to reality.
I honestly sometimes go on about my day without any thought of anxiety or any symptoms of it and it’s only when I remember about it that I realized how I’m going back to my normal self . I’m not going to say I’m 100% free of anxiety because no one is but it is easier to go on about my day.
I’m no longer in fear or feeling sad and hopeless all the time , I started looking forward to many things again , thinking about the future with positivity and happiness .
It feels good to know that things can and will get better. It’s a hard journey but it’s possible!!
I hope you are doing well if you have any questions with anything regarding the medication let me know !!!!
