The issue with paroxitine is...the very first dose can't be higher than 10mg or even 5mg for some as it will hit you...I hear this often and I had the same experience....the very first time I took it...it was 20mg and I had a full blown panic attack...before that I didn't even know what a panic attack was...I was on it for 4 years after that and it was amazing...then I tapered off by cutting down to 10mg which was half of my original dose for a few weeks then 5 mg for a few weeks then 5 mg on off every 2 days...I have done this tapering off method many times and I been fine....also in the process I noticed 10mg was more than enough as I have gone on and off it a few times with no bad affects as a first dose of 10 mg. Hope you are doing well you look happy bright and cheerful x

I was prescribed 20mg to help with anxiety and OCD, and oh my god, the first week I was so depressed and literally just wanted to kill myself. I decided to drop the dose to 10mg, they are scored tablets, and its helped me a fair bit and is much more manageable. I also take a AP med for my schiz, I find that Doctors always over dose these types of medications. They dont do any help if they sap all your energy and make you feel like a bloody zombie.

This shit works well for so long. I couldn’t tell the difference in the beginning but somehow I was different gained weight which I don’t mind anyways long story short. Shit got worse- I got bumped up to 40mg and that didn’t help so that’s when I stopped taking it. Now I’m having a hard time-coping with the nightmares and anger issues but atleast my heart feels pain and happiness time to time before I was desensitized, if someone died in front of me I wouldn’t look twice I think I have another week or two and itll finally be over. Good luck ppl. My advice when getting off of it force yourself to eat as much as you can and cover yourself good when you sleep coz the night sweats will wake you up feeling real cold. Just try to find comfort as much as you can and avoid being around annoying kids or ppl you care about cos you don’t want to burden them with your withdrawal

This morning at 10 a.m. I took my first 20 MG of paroxetine. My body is very sensitive to medication. I did notice that I didn't have many negative thoughts and was able to focus pretty well. Late into the evening I started to feel so many side effects. I'm not paranoid but I felt 90% of the side effects. It's beem 14 hours since I've taken it. Right now it feelsl similar to the feeling of ecstacy after the crash. It's a little pass 1 a.m. and I'm having a hard time trying to sleep. Atm I do have a cold, which makes me wonder if it has a negative impact on the medication. I might keep trying it unless the next few days the side effects are too much. I'm gonna try to tough it out. This video is almost a perfect match to how I feel.

I'm not sure if you still use this channel but I'll comment anyways. You try regulate your serotonin with questionable chemicals right to increase serotonin? Why not look at it introducing natural supplements like St John's wart or rhodiola rosea? These are precursors that actually work. Best of luck, look forward to hearing from you
Edit: I would also recommend CBD from Holland and Barrett

Hi Kelvin! I took a little time off of social media recently but am BACK! So I had tried sooo many natural supplements for about 5/6 years, St John's wart and rhodiola rosea, unfortunately none of these seemed to work for me - however I've not tried CBD from H&B, perhaps that is something I could look into - could pop in there tomorrow! I appreciate you taking your time to advise! :D

I was on 10mg for 3 weeks and it did no help, and now I’m on a 35mg, and I’ve had that for a few days and I keep having the sensation that I’m choking or gagging right under my jaw. And that is only making me more anxious 😅 has anyone else experienced this with Paxil???

Anna Bossaller thanks so much for your comment, I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I think it’s important to remember that these meds usually take around 7 weeks to have any good effects, as they need to settle into the system.
That sounds like a really annoying and scary side effect :/ be sure to come off the meds if you don’t feel comfortable on them - there are so many other meds you can try! It’s a long process, but finding the right meds is really important! ❤️
