This is my fifth antidepressant to try to combat my crippling anxiety. It's the best ssri by far, but the real effect of it isn't constant. My anxiety is VERY up and down and i have tried doses in 30, 40 and 60mg. 60 gave me so much anxiety that i thought i was going insane. Lowered to 30 and it became better but my anxiety was still up and down like crazy. Just upped it to 40 since 2 days ago and i would love for it to at least give me some sort of stable mood. I've been on it for over 6 months so i'm not switching med again. I tried to lower to 20 for 4 days but upped it quickly to 30 because the 20 gave me a very heavy knot of anxiety in my stomach. I guess i'll try to lower it to 20 again in the future if 40 don't do the trick and keep me on that dose for a longer time.
I have used diphenhydramine for the past twenty years to attain sleep. Now must have xylitol tablets to keep from getting dry mouth at night. Try to only breather through nose. I now must take from 100 to 150 mg diphenhydramine to sleep.
I was on this stuff for about 10 years. It worked! I just couldn’t finish during sex and you better hope you don’t have allergies or a cold because any cold medicine will react with this stuff and make you feel like death. Also the withdrawals were brutal. Pretty sure I only survived because I was 17. If I was older I can’t imagine my body taking that punishment. I didn’t realize what happened until years later. I was in bed for what I was told 2 days. Also my sweat was yellow on the sheet. But I’m sure that could have been a reaction with the fabric softener or something
@@morpheusoptic Got off it years ago. I switched to Pristiq. I have all the benefits with none of the harsher downsides. Also I can take cold/allergy meds while on Pristiq. Paxil, for me, I couldn't do that without fear of serotonin syndrome or some other things
I started paxil 2 weeks ago. I use ibuprofen and no problem. I have no side effects. I feel better but still afraid of going out. I wonder when it will really start working for my anxiety.
My sister killed herself, bearely 24y at that time, after been put on Paroxetine/Paxil (over a decade ago). She was on it for 3, 4 weeks. I myself have been offered it several times and older for ptsd. But, I hope erveryone understands, have been very reluctant to take it. Tried it eventually, got severe headaches amongst other effects, so I didn t put it through/quit.
I’m not sure if it’s common or if anyone else has experienced this side effect But while I was on it significantly Increased my memory and cognitive function.Does that make sense?
Happened with me, my cognitive function improved and concentration was excellant. But somehow feel it made me a different personality. More social and hyperinteractive, unnecessary talks
I too haven't noticed any cognitive problem on it like i experienced on zoloft and prozac but i have been taking it for only 2 weeks.. Still anxiety is present.. Im on 25 mg (cr).. What's ur dosage and for what condition are u using it for?
I was put on antidepressants since I was a kid. I absolutely resent them. I have tried probably nearly every one. They have never helped me. I don't think they have any therapeutic value I can't relate to anyone whos said that it saved them. I feel like it fucked up my brain, turned me monotone and difficulty expressing emotion, blunt affect. They do nothing for anxiety either sick of having doctors all through my life tell me to add another antidepressant. The only drug that helps with my severe anxiety is Valium.
I surely agree with u. antidepressants r no good. the only medicine that ever helped me was Valium as well. now, I can't even get those, I'm a permanent wreck!
I LOVED Paxil but it didn't love me! On it I almost had no body pain, I was finally social and no anxiety, but I couldn't diet for shit. Gained about 75 lbs and decided to get off..but Paxil said, "Hold my beer, bitch, not so fast!" Took almost 2 years before I got weaned off and didn't feel brain zaps!
I've been on Paxil since I was 27. I'm now 59 and it stopped working a long time ago! I'm on Effexor now and have had major side effects. I do feel better though but they have been brutal.

I got bumped up to 20mg and it felt kinda weird at first… honestly I stopped taking it entirely for about a week but decided my long term health is more important than short term discomfort. Therapy/counseling has helped a ton and I also started going to church. I hope you guys find relief in your journey 🙏 you are not alone in this! ✝️

Paxil is a wonderful drug.. Started taking it in 1998 never have been suicidal I was 18 within 6 months I slit my wrists.. If you want to just float through life like its one big blur, paxil is the drug for you. Btw thats just the beginning, add in not being able to climax, becoming angry beyond comprehension, intense nightmares and insane withdraws. Was on it for 18 years wanted to stop it after 3 years. Finally dropped them 4 years ago, and I still feel off.
I was on it for many years, and then wanted to get off and try a more natural approach. Ive tried all I can think of including microdosing. Nothing seems to work and I plan to go back on paxil soon.

@@IrespectUtoo I've spoken to 6 different psychiatrists and theyve all confirmed that Paxil can trigger hypomanic or manic symptoms in as little as single dose.
