I’d say both, the sets of rules are different. I agree that MMA is the ultimate way of fighting, but blowing is definitely a gladiator sport as well. I was an amateur boxer during a few years, and my best friend is a wrestler : the amount of pressure and fear people have from these combat sports are not the same. Boxing is creating fear. You risk very being when you enter the ring. That’s why I’d say MMA fighters and boxers are equally gladiator.
