    The fact that Ali made Foreman wear himself out is even more testament to his boxing skills. Boxing is about hitting the other guy while taking as little punishment as possible. People also remember young Tyson knocking people out but never give him credit for how many punches he slipped.

    I wasn't from that, but i watched that entire Ali foreman fight, twice. The best way to describe the fight is pure fighting art. School was absolutely in session when Ali took foreman to school.

      Foreman was technical as well. Look at the walk up upper cut on Coonie, the short uppercuts after looping right hooks to the body, the uppercut hook combinations, the technical triple hooks on Lyle with his other hand hanging low, pay closer attention, he had a stiff jab too!

    As much as I love Ali, he beat Foreman buy messing with head. And of course the rope a dope technique. Foreman was the hardest hitting fighter in boxing history. He could literally kill someone with his hits.

      Hardest hitter is between Shavers and Liston, the people that fought against prime George [and Shavers] has said this this (notably, Ali). Also, the film would back this up; Liston's jab's looked someone swinging a bat at a person's head the way it recoiled. You can only imagine the power punches.

    The fighter shown falling after a punch from Foreman at the begining was a Brazilian fighter named Maguila. He came from very humble beginnings and was very beloved here in Brazil. Unfortunately, he passed away a few days ago due to health problems related to boxing. RIP Maguila!
