I think since now a days people on the internet have such high expectations of what funny should be, immature and fun humor like this becomes muddled and hated on. This kinda stuff just brings back good memories of the simple things in life making someone's day
Truth. 25 years ago when I saw that live I thought it was freaking hilarious. But now trying to watch it it's just absurd and embarrassing. I guess Life changes people
pickle arm man was bitten by a radioactive pickle and received the short end of the stick fr fr sandler and nealon are like those two guys in the hang that just say stupid stuff but keep it going LONG ENOUGH so it becomes relatable and therefore HILARIOUS. at first ur like wtf bro chill out and then after they INSIST UPON THEMSELVES for an hour ur cracking up
Nope. I love Adam Sandler. On its face, this seems like the dumbest routine. But it's actually really brilliant. With this one absurd bit, Adam deconstructs decades of SNL writing and characters. Every SNL character is just one absurd concept with a catchphrase played over and over. "I'm Matt Foley and I live in a van down by the river!". "I'm Gumby damnit!". "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger." So Adam's, "I'm crazy pickle mustache man! How crazy is it that I have a damn pickle for a mustache?! Now give me some candy!!", is just a deconstruction of every SNL character you have ever loved. Adam is brilliant.
@@majesticfluffybutts8962 I agree a thousand percent that's why I'm watching this right now. I remember him on MTV he was just getting started that kind of sucked but I think he's hilarious and his films always have heart.
I absolutely adore his CDs from back in the day. The Talking Goat, Cock n' Balls....I don't even know if people still remember he did that shit. His movies fell way off over the years.
That part actually did kind of make me laugh- I've seen so many of these routines where the straight man does what the comic does and the comic is like "you don't get it at all"/"that's not funny" that's what I was expecting here.
I was sitting here with my finger under my nose and thinking, “I got a goddamn finger for a mustache! I’m crazy!” So, I decided to check out the sketch that inspired this craziness.
I like how the crowd loses it for backwards guy but then he pulls out the pickle and it gets way quieter as they start to wonder how long its gonna go on
I saw Adam Sandler live once (#poor life decisions), and it was one of the worst things I've ever seen. He was completely outshone by the two people opening for him, and he spent and extremely uncomfortable time talking about his daughters vaginas and spying on his neighbor when she died after slipping and falling in the shower. 0/10, worst comedian.
Vulcan Horse - No, dumbass.... that's just Adam Sandler, he was just as bad then as he STILL is now. You can't generalize the whole show's history on a stupid sketch. Just like _TODAY'S_ SNL, there are really only a handful of "HITS" out of a whole lot of "MISSES".
You all do know this is old right? I’m seeing comments saying “maybe vary the voice a little”. Unless Adam Sandler has a time machine (and what a hilarious romp that would be) this skit is kind of set in stone at this point. Also, I think (and I may be mistaken) the same voice for each one is on purpose
It's the same thing as with Taram Killam more recently. They were getting more work that would limit their attention to the show, so Lorne opted to terminate the contract and cut them loose so he can get more people in the cast who are full-timing the gig.
It wasn't funny then. 30+ years later: It's STILL unfunny. But I continue to watch Sandman's film. "50 First Dates" is my most favourite on account that it was filmed in my home State and I understand the local style humor, most especially, Rob Schneider's character, Ula. As well as "The Wedding Singer" on both accounts of Drew Barrymore and ALL things 80's.
I'm sorry that your attention span is so stunted you require frequent prompting to bother waiting out the bit. Ask your doctor if Fukitol is right for you.
I think I see your mistake, you're under the impression that Adam Sandler has comedic range. He doesn't. Watching this sketch has pretty much spoiled 85% of his catalog of work for you. The other 15% is his dramatic work - which usually isn't half-bad.
This dude is weak sauce. His moves are lame. So yet, why am I laughing hysterically at this? And better yet? Why am I not watching a hilarious all-new SNL with the same opening musical monologue involving Alex Moffat and Beck Bennett and...oh I see now
I think this is the only SNL sketch I have ever disliked enough to down-vote; mostly I just don't bother voting at all, but DAMN Adam Sandler manages to take a bad joke way too far. There are bad sketches, and sketches that fall flat, but this is just minute after excruciatingly unfunny minute.
Wow. Back in the 90s I thought he was funny but now I'm watching and not even smiling. Was he just always this not-funny?? My sense of humor must have evolved XD
I remember watching this back in the day and thinking “I could be way funnier than that!”. Yep still sucks. Now watch Jim Carrey on In Living Color and compare.
Yeah, this was in 1993. People who were 18 then are 42 now. For a young person today, this is like if your parents were watching Bob Hope. But trust us old people, this is great if you learn more about the context and zeitgeist of the time.
Lorne has always been more beholden to what's funny than what's convenient. Part of what makes SNL such a stalwart is the consistent nettling of the current social/political climate. They've been pissing on snowflakes for nearly half a century, man.
UGH! *SNL, PLEASE JUST DESTROY THIS MASTER TAPE AND ALL SUBSEQUENT DIGITAL COPIES!!!* This _WASN'T_ funny then, it ISN'T funny now, nor will it EVER be funny! Just STOP playing this shit already!
I'm CrAzY CoMmEnT guy! Look at mee!
I'm leavin' crazy comments on RUclips!
Now gimmee some canday!
💥😠💥
I think since now a days people on the internet have such high expectations of what funny should be, immature and fun humor like this becomes muddled and hated on. This kinda stuff just brings back good memories of the simple things in life making someone's day

When he acts like your hilarious 7 year old niece. Funny AF for some reason!
His face says " *WEED* "
Such simple humor but it just cracks me up. Genius
RealMikeTerra .... you're an idiot.
Guess I'm the one person that likes Adam Sandler.. okay :I
He sucks

kevin nealon, you've taught me again. 25 years later i still say that phrase at least once a week.
That part actually did kind of make me laugh- I've seen so many of these routines where the straight man does what the comic does and the comic is like "you don't get it at all"/"that's not funny" that's what I was expecting here.
“You’ve topped me again.”
One of the best lowkey running gags was how the rest of the cast always called him Kevin Nealon, never just Kevin.
As a kid, I used to run around being crazy pickle arm man.
I love Adam sandler. Way better than today's SNL
Tomorrow is Adam Sandler day at my school and I need ideas quick
I'm crazy pickle arm RRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKKKK
Now this is funny!!
I was sitting here with my finger under my nose and thinking, “I got a goddamn finger for a mustache! I’m crazy!” So, I decided to check out the sketch that inspired this craziness.
The first one of these is far better if we're being honest.
I like how the crowd loses it for backwards guy but then he pulls out the pickle and it gets way quieter as they start to wonder how long its gonna go on
The results is quite obvious. I'm a freak! hahahahahahaha
This is logged in my brain every. time no one has a costume.
When he did the tetherball at the end, and said for the love of God, it would’ve been awesome if Chris came on set and did his imitation behind them!
With the love of God, just give the boy some candy, that’s all he wants, now give him the candah #candah
Crazy pickle arm!
I like to watch this on Halloween. But I have yet to try any of the costume ideas.
This is so stupid it’s hilarious 😄
I'm Pickle Riiick! Give me some candy!!!
Hating me is conforming you're part of the reason that show isn't perfect.
tenacious645 what? I don't even watch Rick and morty I just like Justin roiland and Dan Harmond dude.
As long as we never see Adam Sandler in a dress again like in Jack in Jill any Halloween costume he wears is fine.
This guy's success is one of the world's greatest mysteries to me
I saw Adam Sandler live once (#poor life decisions), and it was one of the worst things I've ever seen. He was completely outshone by the two people opening for him, and he spent and extremely uncomfortable time talking about his daughters vaginas and spying on his neighbor when she died after slipping and falling in the shower. 0/10, worst comedian.
LOL! I just bit my hand off!
Man so talented, there's a reason he's the biggest comedian in Hollywood.
Pickle Riiiiiiiiiiiiiick!
I turned my self into a pickle mustache Morty! I'm crazy pickle mustache Rick!
Too good, adam could use the same voice for 40 more minutes and I’d still laugh
Lo Counts - UGH, it's dull, moronic people like you that make mediocrity so profitable. This is why movies and TV are SHIT.
I don't see you doing anything to make it better, honey
Pickle Rick!
DONUT ICE CWEAM
Rotisserie chicken shoulder.
This is one of those things that's incredibly dumb, yet you can't help but laugh at it!
More Adam sandler
CLASSIC!!
Around the end, I heard less and less laughs. By the time Kevin became Crazy Cigar Chin, the audience was just dead silent.
Because nothing could top the absurdity of Crazy Pickle Arm.
Ahh, so this is the old “funny” SNL everyone is always wishing we could go back to. 🤔
To all of those who complain about how recent SNL casts aren’t as fun at as the old ones.
Damn he was one of my favorite actors growing up wtf happened
Dude, this was before he was in those movies. What happened is you went back to 1993. Are you able to wash off the stupid, or is it caked on too much?
QUE?! I don't understand!
I saw this live when I was a kid. It was funny then, not so much today as an adult.
Diy costume king
Sandler was fired from SNL, right? His humor and acting ability has improved so much since then.
It's the same thing as with Taram Killam more recently. They were getting more work that would limit their attention to the show, so Lorne opted to terminate the contract and cut them loose so he can get more people in the cast who are full-timing the gig.
#AdamSandler has his own #unique style of #comedy! ;)
This is both classic and hilarious IDC what anyone says #SNL #HALLOWEEN 🎃😱👻🤡😡👿😈👽🤖👾👺👹💀☠🕷🕸🍭🍬🍫
DO AT A MEDIUM PACE
Stop looking at me swannn
It wasn't funny then.
30+ years later: It's STILL unfunny.

Adam Sandler was the best and still is the best
Toulouse5 have seen his reasons movie, he a sad joke
❤❤❤
He could've been the greatest, he needed more guidance
😂😂😂😂
Well that sucked.
Give a hot cup of water please
I think if someone does a Ranking of the less viewed SNL videos this one would be in the top 3
IM PICKLE RICK BITCHES
Wow this gets old really fast, it was already not funny after the second "costume"
I'm sorry that your attention span is so stunted you require frequent prompting to bother waiting out the bit. Ask your doctor if Fukitol is right for you.
Bring back Kevin Neal and keep Adam Sandler at home
Just mediocre at best. Felt raw tho like maybe he made it seconds before. I would be this ly impressed.
2:15 This getting old fast. Maybe if he varied his words and voices.
I think I see your mistake, you're under the impression that Adam Sandler has comedic range. He doesn't. Watching this sketch has pretty much spoiled 85% of his catalog of work for you. The other 15% is his dramatic work - which usually isn't half-bad.
that was the point, jeezus with these damn millenials
It's supposed to be repetitive. That's the joke. Jesus fuck.
It's supposed to be that redundant.
Yeah, it's ok, Brian. This isn't targeted at you. These are comics from a bygone era. Let's see Pete Davidson be this gut-wrenchingly funny.
Daaaamn, what year is this?
One teach pie exhibition incentive fine box mother interior corner.
Still funny
I just realised I'm getting so old and I'm not even like old.
is this what 90s humor was like ??? glad we are where we are now
ash dani Yeah, President Trump and lazy gay millennials, it's fucking great.
The joke is that it's bad. It's ok if you don't get it.
QUE?!
Well that was annoying.
I dislike Adam Sandler.
Wait, I thought Adam Sandler used to be funny
This dude is weak sauce. His moves are lame. So yet, why am I laughing hysterically at this? And better yet? Why am I not watching a hilarious all-new SNL with the same opening musical monologue involving Alex Moffat and Beck Bennett and...oh I see now
I’m pickle rick
This was totall garbage never get Adam Sandler on SNl ever again he just ruins it
Skip!
This is just stupid
I think this is the only SNL sketch I have ever disliked enough to down-vote; mostly I just don't bother voting at all, but DAMN Adam Sandler manages to take a bad joke way too far. There are bad sketches, and sketches that fall flat, but this is just minute after excruciatingly unfunny minute.
Not according to the audience
Wow. Back in the 90s I thought he was funny but now I'm watching and not even smiling. Was he just always this not-funny?? My sense of humor must have evolved XD
more like it de-volved buddy. Adam Sandler is a comedy legend.
I remember watching this back in the day and thinking “I could be way funnier than that!”. Yep still sucks. Now watch Jim Carrey on In Living Color and compare.
Pure dung:/
Who cares, but "First!"
Damnit lol
stop
Wow, even during snl Adam Sandler sucks
Laughing so much at your own terrible jokes is a bad sign in your comedy career.
5th i guess
i thought there was gonna be a joke at some point. good to know adam sandler was terrible throughout his career
Corny not funny
Elizabeth Diab your not funny
Yeah, this was in 1993. People who were 18 then are 42 now. For a young person today, this is like if your parents were watching Bob Hope. But trust us old people, this is great if you learn more about the context and zeitgeist of the time.
B. Jr. oh shut up idiot
its never ok to tell someone to kill themselves😡😡😡
suicide is never a joke
Im somewhat early here ;)
Can't believe snl would play all this deformity humor and piss off their snowflake base so badly.
Lorne has always been more beholden to what's funny than what's convenient. Part of what makes SNL such a stalwart is the consistent nettling of the current social/political climate. They've been pissing on snowflakes for nearly half a century, man.
Thanks, champ.
People weren't such offendable pussies back in those days.
Hey look it is Adam Sandler failing to be funny. No surprise there.
Never liked Adam Sandler even in his prime. I don't understand his "success".
you probably go to the mall on saturdays and look for quarters under vending machines so you can afford a frozen pizza. Leave Adam alone!
UGH! *SNL, PLEASE JUST DESTROY THIS MASTER TAPE AND ALL SUBSEQUENT DIGITAL COPIES!!!* This _WASN'T_ funny then, it ISN'T funny now, nor will it EVER be funny! Just STOP playing this shit already!
Proof that he was never funny.
He had made better sketches this was just cringy, not funny
9th comment
TORI. Pipe down
