    I love the work to make education more accessible. Having good education is so important. The focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps us learn.

    I'm thankful that Elder Clerk G. Gilbert is very clearly aware of the worldly and secular agenda growing in the world today, especially in academia, and that the mission of BYU and CES schools are to stand in the face of those growing agenda.
    "BYU . . . must continue to resist false fashions in education, staying with those basic principles that have proved right and have guided good men and women and good universities over the centuries." - President Oaks, Going Forward in the Second Century, 2022 BYU devotional.

    As a professional who is a direct recipient of the amazing, quality education found within the Church Educational System, this is spectacular news! The world needs more working professionals who have been instructed and blessed by CES.

    This is great (as long as they continue to thwart the secular cultural indoctrination).
    I'd love to see offerings for education in traditional trades: electrical, plumbing, welding, construction, etc.

    Incredible mission and work moving forward! Very well put together video.
    All of the BYU’s are incredible and a vital piece of the Lord’s mission to grow individuals as disciples and students.
    I also feel sad and disappointed Ensign College was not featured as part of this CES presentation, as both an alumni and current student, Ensign College (formerly LDS Business College) holds a sacred place in my heart and life and as a flagship for technical skills in CES, I personally would have enjoyed and loved to also have had President Bruce C. Kusch interviewed to discuss the marketable skills, project based immersive learning model at Ensign College and the nearly 40% international student body creates a diverse and engaging community of students and saints.

    It's unfortunate that Ensign College was not specifically mentioned in this video like the rest of the institutions. There are great teachers and students working hard at Ensign College as well.

    So when will Southern Virginia University be announced as BYU-Virginia?

    • @rachaelbrundy3837
      @rachaelbrundy3837 Год назад

      Southern Virginia is now and never was a part of the church education system. It’s a privately owned school developed by some LDS businessmen. Using BYU as a model. It. An be a good place to complete you general education classes and then transfer. Or complete business education. It’s private and not church owned.

    Too bad you're neglecting the trades, which are so needed and desperately running out of workers; these are high paying jobs that can support families too.
