- The Tremor is Ford's first ever off-road worthy F-250 Super Duty. Under the hood you have a choice of engines. This F-250 Tremor has the 6.7L turbo diesel engine that produces 1,050 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. On the outside you will find a 2in lift, Rancho suspension, special wheels, and running boards just to name a few things. On the inside of this Lariat trim you will find leather seating, and all the tech you could ask for. Is it BETTER to buy a 2020 Ford F-250 Tremor with the PowerStroke diesel?

I personally prefer the 2017-2019 front ends over the new ones. The headlights just looks so nicely uniform with everything and that perfect "[" shape of the led's on them.

The center opening in the bumper of the Tremor is designed to house the WARN winch that FORD included in the options
If you leave the step open and put the tailgate back up you gotchurself a wing lmao
I love the front "sofa" seat on this unit with the column shifter makes it really comfortable to drive...and as always very good camera work by your wife.

Here’s my .02: if youre going to be towing over 10k lbs routinely by all means get the diesel. If you’re only rarely going to be towing that much or towing less weight regularly, save $8k and stick with the 7.3. The godzilla motor is excellent, I’m happy there’s now an option in between the boring old 6.2 gasser and the ungodly expensive 6.7 powerstroke.
One of the only reasons I would buy the diesel is resale value, you'll find diesels 3 , 4 ,years old still selling in the mid to high 60's
@@gregberban7067 the diesels are great, but they have to be worked hard or you are going to have DEF issues clogging and they are $$$ to fix. When you get done with maintenance on a diesel it’s a wash on resale. If you aren’t really working it hard its an expensive grocery getter.
I have a Super Duty Diesel (pre def) and If I was going to replace it I would probably go with the 7.3 gasser. But I don’t regularly tow over 8k pounds anymore.

We know your six feet tall Joe but you look 5’6” standing next to this truck. 😀 love the red. The headlight area needs to be blacked out more. The Ford trucks with the blacked out large FORD insignia in the front look better. They need to lose the elliptical circle around the ford sign. The torque on this truck is amazing. If I had an extra $81k hanging around the house 🏡, cars like the GT350, corvette, fully loaded Camaro or fully loaded Charger would be higher up on the pecking order. After all I am a City slicker. The problem with the Powerstroke, is the near-$10k premium you pay to have it, as opposed to the 7.3L Godzilla. Add the extra cost of diesel fuel... not a cheap decision. Yes, the 1,050 in torque is tempting.... and the engine's name sounds like the title of a porn film from the 70s, but a properly tuned and modded 7.3L will perform really well, and still cost you less than the added price tag on the diesel.

My uncle has a 2010 f350 powerstroke lariat and he uses it as a daily driver and takes his 8 year old kids and has to put a rail in back foot area so they can sit comfortably

18,000 pounds towing capability. In my opinion Ford had done a great job when it comes to their trucks. I just wish with there competitors with there V8 power trains, they can come closer to 18,000 towing capability. If there is one complaint I have regarding the F-250 it would have to be the infotainment system. It's outdated but does its job. But overall a great truck.

I keep going back and forth between the 6.7l and 7.3l. I LOVE the sound of a gas V8, especially a pushrod V8 like the 7.3l. I also like that the 7.3l is 800+ lbs lighter than the powerstroke, and you can still whipple the 7.3l and make 700+ horsepower. I just don't like that the 7.3l is half the torque of the 6.7l, or doesn't come close to towing capacity or fuel mileage. I think the 6.7l gets double the fuel mileage and still makes double the torque, and I feel like if you are going to own a 3/4 ton truck that you need to have the diesel. However I really don't want to mess with DPF and emissions crap on a 2021/22 6.7l, and as of now there isn't any legit tune/delete options for these newest 6.7ls. And of course the 7.3l pushrod is much easier to work on and is going to be a reliable motor. not sure what to do!!!
You don't buy a Tremor as a towing vehicle. Sure it can do it, but it's not optimized for towing. There's RUclips video's comparing the 7.3 Gasser vs 6.7 Diesel Tremor in off road capability and the Gasser is better!
Only reason to get a 6.7 is for towing. But like Rexford said, I wouldn't get a Tremor if I tow. I have a big apple orchard in WV. A tremor works great for someone like me. F150s don't work because they are basically lifted cars.
This is my dream truck and I know it would be better with the 7.3l for off-roading and payload if you want to overland. The diesel is awesome but it’s so heavy on the front end and that trucks weighs alot more than 6000lbs and for the 8000 premium it isn’t worth it. Besides the 7.3l is rated to tow 15,000 lbs in this configuration so it’s not like it can’t tow. Besides you can work on the 7.3 without having to remove the cab and way less maintenance cost along with gas being available everywhere

You are correct Joe, big mistake for FORD, my buddies 2021 PowerWagon comes stock with a winch.
I actually like the truck. Would probably find a black one, draw and color on it with acrylic markers cause I'm an artist. And then make a Cat playground all around the bed.
That 6 seater configuration is the deal! It looks great and has more space for humans then most 2 row SUVs and many 3 row SUVs. Talk about a Swiss army knife of a truck. All Ford needs to do is benchmark or exceed the Ram interiors. These are very nice but Ram is killin' it.

Coming from a 17 250 6.7 lariat, to a 20 250 7.3 tremor KR no complaints at all. My toys don't weigh over 8k lbs, she's much lighter on her feet and loosening up nicely around 10km.
I went from 17 lariat to 21 lariat tremor (both 6.7 PS). It’s a world of difference.
You could haul a LOT of snacks in that!

That 6.7 is a massive $10k over the 7.3. If you’re not towing in the 20k lbs range it’s a waste of money

Never owned a diesel powered truck, suppose the big advantage is the torque, but give me a big V-8 any day of the week. Those supercharged 6 cylinder engines are for kids, not real truck drivers.

What they don't tell is that you lose about 5000lbs in towing capabilities. By going with the tremor package.
Of course has way more torque than the 7.3L and the classic 6.2L. Of course the powerstroke is better.
I do so much city driving and short trips, I think a 7.3 is a safer bet for me since long term I don’t have to deal with all the emissions things that can get pricey when they fail. No fault of Ford's, I just feel like all the emissions stuff everyone has to strap onto diesels these days really hinders them!

Makes the Raptor look like a Matchbox Truck? The Raptor is a bit shorter in overall length, but it's still a wider and bulkier truck and looks much cooler IMO. The rear view of the F250 looks malnourished. The only hands down winner is the 6.7L Powerstroke.
