Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme
Der Wächter sehr hoch auf der Zinne,
Wach auf, du Stadt Jerusalem!
Mitternacht heißt diese Stunde;
Sie rufen uns mit hellem Munde:
Wo seid ihr klugen Jungfrauen?
Wohl auf, der Bräutgam kömmt;
Steht auf, die Lampen nehmt! Alleluja!
Macht euch bereit
Zu der Hochzeit,
Ihr müsset ihm entgegen gehn!
Wenn ich in den Himmel kommen würde, würde ich zuerst fragen, wo der Apostel Paulus ist und gleich danach J.S. Bach...
Ich hoffe sehr das man diese wunderbare Musik auch noch im nächsten Jahrtausend zu hören bekommt.
So was von erhaben und ausgefeilt.
Was für eine Komposition! Genial! Bach wäre heute Millionär!
Historische Aufführungspraxis wird immer mehr Standard. Das finde ich großartig!
Auch wenn dem Eric Blusseau vor einem Monat das Tempo zu schnell war - irgendeiner ist immer der "Musikkritiker" - , so hat diese Version der Bach-Stiftung viel mehr Aufweckendes als "Peter Cornelius, Der Kaffee ist fertig".
J.S.Bach, der Komponist der Reformation hinterläßt uns Musik mit Ewigkeitscharakter, Meisterhaft interpretiert von der Bach-Stiftung unter der Leitung von Herrn Lütz. Kostbare Musik! Danke!
Gibt es etwas perfekteres als Bachs Musik?
R. Lutz, was für ein großartiger Dirigent, Kenner und Könner. Es wäre doch schön, wenn z.B. der Thomanerchor einen Leiter von ähnlichem Format bekäme, dann würde es auch in Leipzig mal wieder vorwärts gehen.
Nur ein Wort : GROßARTIG!
To my mind, a small, committed and talented group of musicians and vocalists singing Bach in the right venue sound better than most large orchestras and choruses performing in giant halls.
This is an excellent interpretation. I don’t believe there is anything better on the internet
I love how the choral blends in with the orchester in perfect harmony. This is by far my favourite version.

I can not seem to find the end of the number of compositions written by this genius.the more I search the more I find. A true blessing to us mortals.
