Tom J it’s the same as the middle eastern airlines, SQ is a semi government owned airline, meaning money is no issue to them. Hence comparing to any of the Taiwanese airlines is unfair as All Taiwanese Airlines are privately owned, they of course don’t have the financial strength to always purchase the newest things.
He did a very positive review of Business class on China Air Taiwan.

@@Winterstick549 China airlines is not very good imo due to the 2 times i gave it a chance, service was terrible looked like they weren’t happy to be there, in business class too- so I now exclusively fly with Eva air
EVA has come a long way from when I first flew business with them 15 years ago (LHR - BKK). Back then it was on a 747 where the seats reclined to about 170 degrees so you had to wear your belt to stop sliding down. The cabin crew were a bit surly with poor English and so so service. And don't mention the food! But today on the 777 EVA is exceptional. 1-2-1 configuration means that no one needs to disturb you to get to the aisle and vice versa. Great space and goodies. Superlative food as seen in this review. Highly attentive cabin crew with good English. Can't fault them! Thanks for your great review.
I've flown several times with EVA in both Economy and Premium Economy between London and Bangkok - always great service and attentive crews.
I was hoping to be in Business Class later this year, but it looks like that is going to be a little delayed.
They have one of the best Premium Economy classes Iv ever used.
On par with Cathay Pacific.
I really miss Taiwan, I feel so nostalgic, there’s a feeling of getting on an airplane at night and getting to Taiwan, it’s an indescribably amazing atmosphere and I love it.
I would choose Star Special to make me “enjoy more good time in the flight” 😂 keep it up nonstopdan... you’re the only reviewer who is consistently sincerely excited for every flight!

Just booked a flight JFK-TPE-ICN and I'm sitting in this exact seat based almost exclusively on your recommendation! 88k United Miles and $5.60. The 2.5 hours leg from TPE to ICN is in economy on Asiana but seemed worth it for a 16 hour flight to TPE from JFK in EVA business! Love your stuff and thanks for always posting. Makes decision making so much easier!

Most airlines' veggie meals are unimaginative and not that appealing. This one, on the other hand, looks truly appetizing, even to this non-veggie!

Taiwan is renowned for its extraordinarily tasty veggie meals, there're lots of veggie buffets in Taiwan (cheap & delicious)

Longtime fan of EVA Air. Their business class is by far the best out there...especially on the 787 Dreamliner.
I have flown with EVA many times in economy and even by mistake was upgraded, in flight, to business class. Business is really great ,but the difference in price from economy is quite a bit. Great vid as always.

Hi Dan, thanks for sharing! I can understand why you feel service on BR is less polished than SQ. The first batch of stewardess were trained by NH and the crew mix is not as international as Qatar nor Singapore. If you speak Chinese though Eva earns some points back. They usually get what I am looking for by mere eye gesture. That is, only in J class
I get the joy of secondary screening every time i fly from Europe back to NY. I must be on some kind of list.

I will be flying Eva business class sfo-tpe-kul-kno roundtrip this coming May. I am excited. Last year I flew SQ and CI business class and they were great as well.

I think EVA is a fantastic airline in terms of comfort and service. Easily one of the best in the world. We’ve been fortunate enough to fly in Royal Laurel on points and it was extremely comfortable (SFO-TPE-BKK).

I've flown both EVA and Singapore in business and I give EVA the wsge. Singapore has a better seat but I found the in flight experience on EVA better. I liked the pjs and the amenity kit which SQ does not give. (I do not love the Jason Wu pjs) I also liked the mid flight snack. I had a cheeseburger on my flight YYZ/TPE.
More gifts on EVA for sure!
Next time, try some Taiwanese Oolong tea after the meal courses! Also, if you are flying on a hello kitty plane, there are cute hello kitty gifts too 😍

I think first class is dying, not business class since business is how airlines actually make the most money. Plus, a lot of airlines have removed or never had first class in the first place.
Before the pandemic all my flights to the US from Bangkok were on EVA business class.
They're ranked number one in my book. Aces.
Love the product, love the airline and staff, but always hated the livery.
Me too!! I love EVA Air and I wouldn't choose another one to fly to Asia from Canada. I've flown all the classes and they are all fantastic, and so is the staff. But that green livery... I really can't find a reason to like it. It is uninspiring. That said, I can't wait to fly them again!!!

Welcome back Dan !! EVA did some seasonal flights to Sydney but of course that has all stopped but every review of their product in all classes makes me want to fly with them when all this is over !! Flight looks like it was worth it just for the food and drinks !!! Great flight mate and hope you are safe and well during these awful times...I would just love to go some bloody where at the moment !! A roll out landing...quite rare !!

I like your review videos the most, it's something that I can't do right now but you give it a nice touch. For a few tips add more cinematic and musical sections in the middle, you go around the world and giving a glimpse of travelling over different terrains and different parts of the world will just give a slight new twist and will surely make me fall in love with your videos. I hope Eva retrofites their 777 business class with business seats from their 787s. Their existing 777 business class is decent and all, but it's causing an inconsistency problem in their business product

How did I arrive to this side of RUclips after watching a lot of airplane disaster videos??
But hey the review is amazing and can't wait to watch more.
it's a good business class no question BUT NEVER sign up for their loyalty program, after collecting 400,000 miles you will find out they DO NOT HONOR any flights booked, you get waitlisted an NEVER cleared !!! Even worse, if you transfer miles to your partner to fly jointly you pay 100's of dollars, and then they cancel on you and have the audacity to not even refund you. Based on that bad experience, I take my business somewhere else as I feel cheated by this airline.

It’s a great airline seat! But I do think they’re livery and cabin is lacking in character. I notice it is very common with Chinese Airlines unfortunately!
