people will always say this is 80s type of music but I really think this type of music is waaay ahead of their time. Even today Depeche Mode with Alan Wilder is revered as cutting edge. It's futuristic looking breaking new grounds. In 50 years we'll still be so amazed the music DM produces.
@@h.c.7799 it’s the truth. you do understand that synthesizers and ambiance music is now mainstream in movies and music? DM’s 80s and 90s music was very much ahead of their time.
@@DxModel219 True. It's truly out of this world. Some 80s synth pop was just mind altering. Like Blue Monday from New Order. Another classic. Light years ahead of its time.
They were the 80's. You had to be there to know it. After the 80's synths and computers were nothing g new to us. Most new music just continued to use them and it doesn't sound like anything new.
Moog Source Roland ProMars PPG Wave 2 Yamaha CS5 only the PPG is polyphonic all other instruments are monophonic (one note at a time). this makes the melodies and sound very light and transparent
It's very interesting to me watching these early concerts of theirs. Dave really matured and developed massive stage presence and confidence between this and the concert they did in Hamburg, about 18 months later. They were good here, but by the time they filmed that Hamburg concert they especially Dave were god's
Completely agree. To your point about the growth between this and the Hamburg show, I think that it definitely.had something to do with Alan’s involvement and the recording of and subsequent “Construction Time Again” tour in that they knew they how far they had come in a short period of time and were then, just beginning to hit their stride.
@@DJAlgorhythms Brilliant observation my friend. Hiring Alan to replace Vince was one of the smartest decisions they ever made. To me they haven't been the same since he left.
I think the idea of having the drumming bunny on top of the drum machine was to show the audience what it was doing. I’m not sure though, maybe it’s just for fun LOL
1. Shout 0:01
2. New Life 4:27
3. See You 8:32
4. Photographic 12:33
A rare TV appearance for DM's lost drummer, Duracell Bunny
who never gets tired or too drunk to play.
After more than 40 years they still sounds modern and definitely better than this modern rubbish
I agree
This version of photographic is really great
I know, right? so cool.
I love their original drummer!
RIP Fletch

You did a good job adding energetic bunny into the band..hahaha...lol.
What about Andy?
@@robertisham5279 nothing. Just standing
Ils étaient vraiment avant-gardistes, les sons utilisés étaient tellement nouveaux à l'époque

Amazing 40years on.
The fab four of technopop
Became a fan back in 1981. Love Vintage Mode.
very iconic video art. typical for that time. Direct, rough, crazy and somehow intimate, as were many things back in the 80s.

I think it was a Yamaha CS10 instead of CS15.
You can see this at 14:06 and 14:46 more clearly.
thanks for your comments. It’s actually a CS5. 😉
very visible @4:11
@@h.c.7799 Ah, yes - You‘re right. Only one envelope.
Very basic Synth, but with Multimode filter.
Thanks for the info, that’s the Yamaha Martin also used in 1980 & 1981 tours. Also the Yamaha logo was taped during See You Tour idk why.
thanx...
Never seen before. Great!
Time capsule.
Amazing. DM for ever.
Excellente émission sur FR3 à l’époque
🙂 Not seen this before. Thanks for showing

Dave "operating" Bunny is really hilarious.
The pink bunny drummer was fired after a couple gigs .
Too bad. He was so cute!
No He Didn't get fired cause that bunny belongs to the real depeche mode music producer """"TRUE FACT""""". ...
Alan actually lasted until 1995.
Oh, THAT bunny.
❤
Wooooa
I Prefer these DM
me too
чё за реклама энэрджайзера ..?
Wow, such basic Mode ❤
1981 year
No,Wilder in sight, 1982
Taking them seriously in 1981 was never even a consideration.
And they wonder why the media had a problem with their image back then 😮. I don’t think a pink fluffy rabbit will ever look cool somehow
cult!
