Ash Ketchum That's how Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson closed a blog post detailing his decision to leave his studio, Mojang, after selling it to Microsoft for $2.5 billion. The article largely points to the block-building game's gargantuan success and the stress that came with it as his primary reason for leaving.Sep 15, 2014 (it is true, he left already selling in to Microsoft there is a video ) one message from notch: Its not about money, its about my sanity.
when I started to play minecraft I always was with my friends, and we had the music playing, now their all gone and I cant turn on the music without crying, thank you for bringing back sweet memories, it means a lot to me.
I know exactly how you feel. Piano 3 was like the only song that played in this city inside a mountain I lived in. But the server got shut down and I lost a lot.
It's weird what music can do. It can change your mood. bring back memories. make you want to shove other memories into a dark corner in the far reaches of your mind. it can make you remember your fondest memories, or crush you by bringing back things you wish never had happened. Its like this for me. I was young, and i didn't know what 'love' in a sense meant. looking back, she was perfect. but we lost contact, and she has probably moved on. Isn't it scary to think that one day, nobody will even remember who you were? if you went up to a friend from grade school and said, "Hey! we went to school together, remember me?" and they would have no idea. Your name, and mine, will fade into history. "Dust to dust, ashes to ashes" so we all will return to the dust from whenst we came... This has nothing to do with minecraft. But I thank you for reading...
+zach zader Its like this server RebornCraft the owner changed it and everyone of my friends left one by one and I am the last one who still plays there
Remember that time, in Minecraft? When Minecraft was so perfect and wonderful? That time? _Yeah._ And now that time is gone forever, and I definitely can't just select a previous patch on the launcher whenever I want. Nope. That doesn't exist.
Remember the time when servers weren't advanced? Remember when everyone still hid in their singleplayer worlds? Remember then fun we all had? Ever since then, Minecraft has washed away.
+awesomesonic159 I remember being addicted to the game back in 2010-2011. Stopped playing for a couple years after coming back to find out about potions, starving, creative mode and 10yr olds made it a worldwide child's game stereotype. I miss the old minecraft I started with. :(
Minecraft hasn't washed away, it has just becoming more advanced. I do miss the good times of minecraft though , back when servers were simpler. I've searched for a while now trying to find a simple vanilla, survival/creative server with no plots and few plugins but I've had no luck.
Really? Just because it has washed away for you doesn't mean it has for everyone. You don't speak for everyone. Just because a game advances doesn't mean it "washes away". Things change and you have to get over it.
Single player was the thing back then. I remember when I first played the trial when I was a little toddler. That was the best thing I did, the game grabbed me like no other game has ever done. It's a shame the community died, it's not the same game anymore. I would dare touch my "Java" copy any more. Thanks a lot Microsoft and the community
the reason people dislike this game nowadays is the fact that more people play it. The experience feels less personal. you tend to enjoy things more when it feels like only you know about it. There were just as many kids playing then as now, and its basically the same game. This goes to show how a gamers connection to a game overall means whether a game is "Good" or not
The thing about these songs is that really it shouldn't purely remind you of Minecraft and make you feel nostalgic of the good old days, which it surely does, but it also reminds you, or at least me, of just how short life is... it's just such a beautiful song.
What we miss isn't the old Minecraft itself... But the fact that we knew nothing about this game, and discovering it made that emotion... Oh god I'm about to cry right now...
When I listen to this song my eyes tear up and my heart leaps remembering when I was a newbie to Minecraft... I had so many fun adventures with my wolf and my pickaxe... Thank you Taioo for your talent and thank you C418 for all the nostalgia and great times your music has brought me :')
I just spent the last hour and a bit watching this though constantly pausing it. And now I can play this magnificent piece :) Thank you for putting it on RUclips
For a sandbox game about a bunch of blocks, it has some really great music. I get chills listening to this song. The sunset fade-in was a little much for me, but still, great work. =)
when i hear this song/music i can't sleep just because of the time that i play 1.4 minecraft it takes my memories playing minecraft, it made me cry. While i was in the snow biome i kept on hearing this music its a good memory of my childhood.
Hands sweaty, excited. The world generates. You spawn You spin around, looking at the trees, hills, and ponds. No ugly swamps, bland plains, or funky villages. Just Minecraft. Mind, lost. Unknowing of the possibilities. Yet filled with thoughts and ideas. Minecraft.. before it was a damn RPG. Minecraft the sand-box game. Minecraft.. the best game. ever.
This makes me want to go back to Alpha! But Taioo, You are extremely good at what you are doing, and you should continue this for our and hopefully your entertainment. We all love what you are doing and I personally do truly look up to you. I'm looking forward to many pleasent videos and covers in the future. I just wanted to say that you are the true definition of awesomeness.. Thank you
This is why I love the Xbox version of Minecraft! It brings me back to the peaceful, beautiful world that stretches past, in which you can be a builder, a monster fighting hero, a explorer, or anything else you wanted to be! No fancy hunger or xp, no complicated RPG things, just the fresh and pure Minecraft world, left for you to shape however you desire! Ahh... the good old days, relived.
I want to go back to the roots, where everything was originial, where this song plays from sunrise to sundown, where you would run into caves without even knowing the dangers of it, getting scared by every mob you see, or when you spend countless hours mining for diamond, and when you do, running back home, like you have got the golden ticket. Those are my Minecraft memories(:
Minecraft never really changes... its the people who change :) what you really miss is not knowing what to do, being a noob to minecraft and enjoying learning how to do things... Thats what you, me and the rest of the minecraft world miss - Being new to minecraft
Oh, the music, brings back such good memories! :'-) Like my very first shelter, and when I made a good small city, back around 1.4........those were the good ol' days : )
I tried finding that feeling again, so first of all I stopped playing minecraft for like four months until I started forgetting it a bit, then I returned to beta 1.3 and played there for 3 months only. I asked my friends not to tell me what was in the snapshots, so when I updated a few weeks ago I actually got that feel back... Cause it was like a new game again! Even though it wasn't the same thing as when you first started playing it, cause it still wasn't beta.
this brings back many memories.and now when i play minecraft,if a creeper blows something up, or enderman ruin something,i smile, laugh, and build it again. its the little things that make me smile bout the game even though when i started, i got so frustrated when something went wrong.
@TheShiphoo I believe that MCNostalgia, has both alpha and indev. It is a small program that allows you to switch out your jar file relatively easily, and play older versions of minecraft.
reminds me of my early days playing minecraft with some of my friends, exploring vast worlds finding a new place to live in.. when suddenly this music starts
There is always that unexplainable feeling I used to get playing Minecraft that is now out of my life. It is as if there is something missing but nothing I can do. I remember when crafting a cake was amazing and finding diamonds but not finding any iron for a pick.... Those, those were the old Minecraft days. It isn;t about the version. It is about the feeling.
We do not hate Minecraft, we just miss the old times, when we were newbies, when we didn´t know anything about the game and got excited about making a dirt house. When Minecraft was simple and we were happy playing it. Hope you understand now...
0:18 is my favorite part of the song. I can always pic out when its comming. And please no one respond to this by saying 0:00-1:22 was the best part. I hate when people say that...
I totally know how you feel... I tried downgrading to Alpha to get a nostalgic effect, but it just isn't the same as exploring an entirely new, beautiful, limitless world and not knowing what to do first. This is the only game that I've have had more fun being a noob rather than a vet.
@MsMenar He wrote "Alpha 1.1.2 - Beta 1.9..." I just think he meant, that he'd been playing the game since the alpha, and not that the situation he described occured at that time.
Beutiful. This is the song that played on my first minecraft world. I barley made it, I'd never played minecraft. When the sun came up, so did the song. This world is still here, even though my computer cant play minecraft. the reason i kept it is because its my most beutiful world. Minecraft World 1.4-1.9 PR6 ;)
omg. i just cried. i remembered those fond memories of opening minecraft in 1.3 beta and punching a tree for the first time. I remember being scared shitless by zombie sounds. I remember the first house i made, it was a hole i dug in the side of a mountain. I remember when i found my first iron. minecraft4life
So, so true... That's the beauty of Minecraft, the adventure, not knowing what lies ahead in your new world. So go explore! Punch a tree, make a house, and prosper. Adventure is the thing in all of us that creates that amazing feeling of happiness and wonder. And Minecraft brings nostagia.
The moment when you realize that minecraft is about 4 years old now and you played in those good alpha days, back when you were afraid of mobs and didnt know you could set it on peacefull... Old times!
Dude I feel you... These days, it is all about pvp, or minigames, or creative... I miss the crafting days in alpha, when there was no such things like this, just plain off building with yourself or maybe a few friends... Those days :(
So soothing and make me think about the first time I playd minecraft I'm 10years old now I've Ben playing it for 2 years now sice I was 9 I'm so happy that markus made this wonderfull game I love it
I would give anything to forget everything I know about Minecraft, go back to the alpha, and learn it all over again. I want to feel fear for the dark, love for food, and confusion of new ores.
IMO adults have more feelings towards this song than younger people, cause whenever I hear this, i always shed a tear for all those times ive been young watching catdog and ren and stimpy xD missing out on all the good times... This music recalls the old memories when i have just started play minecraft for the first time and i played with my best friend hunger games :( we had a lot of good time but i have lost my best friend because our friendship has ended😢😢😞 i miss those old days and of course my best friend😞😞
I haven't played minecraft for weeks. I forgot how beautiful it can get, especially if you visited the spot you first played in.... and find out that someone has griefed it :o.
remember that time when notch owned minecraft
Ash Ketchum Yeah,it was amazing
Ash Ketchum he still does

I've lost all my friends to, maybe we can play minecraft! I miss these old lovely times!
I love seeing this kind of connection on RUclips. It reminds me the world's not all that bad. :)
I know exactly how you feel. Piano 3 was like the only song that played in this city inside a mountain I lived in. But the server got shut down and I lost a lot.
Jordan Browne What I love about Minecraft is how each person grows to love their World and remembers it vividly for years after.
cooltroop2 True that.

Lol, good ol' satire.
you forgott: Microsoft ruined everything, niw all is skywars
This is where the pirates come in.
Its not the game that loose magic but the person playing it yes that time is gone forever
@@zazkegirotron microsoft has nothing to do with skywars. Its a fanmade minigame
Fantasy and fun don't last forever
Sadly not ):
the fact i'm watching this is 2021 brings
back so much memrios
Remember the time when servers weren't advanced? Remember when everyone still hid in their singleplayer worlds? Remember then fun we all had? Ever since then, Minecraft has washed away.

You are right.I miss old minecraft

To be, honest, when Microsoft came, it kinda ruined Minecraft, especially me when I learned Notch had left
In my opinion.

Mojang is trying to change it up. The minecraft launcher is like a time machine though, so you can always run back to beta if you wish.
***** you can go to infdev, indev, classic, or even back to the earliest prototypes of minecraft back when it was still under the name "Cave Game"
listening to this while reading the comments is great.
so many stories...
yea :>
so many feels...
Cyantile :'^(
yas
The most nostalgic of all of them. Would really like to see those mice again XD
You're wonderful. Not only is the song amazing, but the way you play just has that feel and passion. Great stuff.
so beautiful. nothing is more relaxing than building a world for yourself while listening to this..
It just hits you right in th feels
I remember watching x's adventures, when ever the music would come on he would become silent, and simply enjoy it. Always put a smile on my face.

it is amazing how you can play all of the greatest videogames soundtracks so beautifully!!
Is not the game my friend, its...the imagination you put in it, it's the best explanation for minecraft
Starting up a new world, earbuds in to a moderate volume, getting warm shivers going down my spine every few seconds :)
later that year they came out with sheet music. I may be 13 but I'm trying to learn it. This may take some time.

This is pretty easy to play, yet so relaxing, i kind of don't know why! My smile is up to my ears!
some people say minecraft music is depressing but it explains the beauty of minecraft and why it's so fun
This brings back memories of my first minecraft experience, this was the first song I listened to :)
This songis the reason i stared playing minecraft again, thank you, keep up the good work.
Minecraft never really changes... its the people who change :) what you really miss is not knowing what to do, being a noob to minecraft and enjoying learning how to do things... Thats what you, me and the rest of the minecraft world miss - Being new to minecraft
I miss the old Minecraft songs and updates. I'm crying right now Ah, memories...
I wanna make a vanilla no bukkit plugins server for beta 1.7.3.
Do it man i will join
I will join!
make minecraft great once again!
I see this as an inspiration...I started learning piano about 8 months ago and I'm still no were near as good as you are....
this beautiful song touched my hearth so so much...
Oh, the music, brings back such good memories! :'-)
Like my very first shelter, and when I made a good small city, back around 1.4........those were the good ol' days : )
This reminds me when I kept tapping to destroy blocks instead of holding and I was trying to destroy dirt for 5 minutes. Don't we all miss beta
LMAO I did that too! I was like "DIRT WHY DO YOU BETRAY MEE!!"
Your musics goes to my playlist. It is wonderful works. A lot try to play game musics on piano, only a few actually make it sounds really nice :) .
Minecraft music is so peaceful, I just love it
I tried finding that feeling again, so first of all I stopped playing minecraft for like four months until I started forgetting it a bit, then I returned to beta 1.3 and played there for 3 months only.

@Firestriker8 I made the world in 1.1.2, i placed the bed during 1.4, and lived up the RC2.
this brings back many memories.and now when i play minecraft,if a creeper blows something up, or enderman ruin something,i smile, laugh, and build it again. its the little things that make me smile bout the game even though when i started, i got so frustrated when something went wrong.
The way the game was made, it almost emulates a second fantasy life. What you really miss is "your" childhood.
@TheShiphoo
I believe that MCNostalgia, has both alpha and indev.

Why am I crying?!
So beautiful!
reminds me of my early days playing minecraft with some of my friends, exploring vast worlds finding a new place to live in.. when suddenly this music starts
This is so beautiful, moved me to tears. Amazing... :)
Oh, nostalgia.. This track played when I generated my first world and started playing for the first time back in early Alpha. I miss these days..
This music hurts like hell, but also gives a sense of calmness too.
@MsMenar Se refiere a la vida del juego! por ejemplo! una persona vivio entre 1985- 2003, este caso es el mismo: Alpha 1.1.2 - Beta 1.9 PR5
me encantan las cancioncitas de minecraft. sobre todo esta
Omg i miss this music this the music where i was exploring snow biomes n stuff good ol times
This is what I want played at my funeral! When ever it happens of course!
Une mélodie aussi légère que l'air, comme une feuille dansante qui tombe d'un arbre reflétant le parcours de la vie.

@luckybolt Music doesn't play too often in mine, and it's sort of quiet when it does. But I feel like it played more often in Alpha than it does now.
@TheDeceptiveDiamond Wet hands is very easy, you just need to know when to press what note.
0:18 is my favorite part of the song. I can always pic out when its comming.
And please no one respond to this by saying 0:00-1:22 was the best part. I hate when people say that...

A Minecraft song, the Skyrim theme...good taste in games sir. And excellent performance, as usual.
8 years ago, damn
This music is so relaxing. well done! :)
am I the only one who is crying a little bit, all these memories dear god thanks for this beautiful song. :'(
świetne wykonanie, aż miło słuchać
I would give anything to forget everything I know about Minecraft, go back to the alpha, and learn it all over again. I want to feel fear for the dark, love for food, and confusion of new ores.
Watching Seananners' video about Minecraft. Buying it the next day...
Get the good feeling the first days you play it
Now, its all but disappeared
@MrTheamir I don't know, but I bought Minecraft a year ago and it was a popular thing already then. Yogscast started to make their video in December.
this song reminds me of the old days of minecraft like 1.4 and how i used to be new to minecraft :( i miss those days
IMO adults have more feelings towards this song than younger people,
cause whenever I hear this, i always shed a tear for all those times ive been young watching catdog and ren and stimpy xD missing out on all the good times... I wish I could have it back rather than focus on all this studying and planning for you job, i wish life was as simple as a childs brain... too bad children these days are ruining it.
-cries-
This music recalls the old memories when i have just started play minecraft for the first time and i played with my best friend hunger games :( we had a lot of good time but i have lost my best friend because our friendship has ended😢😢😞 i miss those old days and of course my best friend😞😞
MINECRAFT ARE AWESOME

This hit my feels, hard. Thank you.
man this is amazing, i remember the first time i heard this song on minecraft! im going to practice piano now just for this song lol
I haven't played minecraft for weeks. I forgot how beautiful it can get, especially if you visited the spot you first played in.... and find out that someone has griefed it :o.
