What does that even mean?
@@d-boi9785 unison is when all the instruments in a group (in this particular scenario, strings) play the same tone. It sounds bland and uninteresting. The author of this remix has gvarious instruments play different notes, which creates chords and makes the music sound better.
Definitely. It sounds far better when the different instruments are playing different pieces, each coming from a different direction. It feels much more natural.

This song made me unreasonably happy. Something about C418 and the associated nostalgia combined with the orchestral take is great.

haha, yeah its a quite a tricky thing to learn. I'd say like theres no real point in trying to learn everything, just find something that you wanna make or think looks cool, then search for a tutorial for that specific thing. But having a nice basics knowledge is always nice, but I usually find its not that necessary. I just find a good tutorial in a similar style that I want, and then I watch it at 0.5× speed 😂
I still vividly remember playing minecraft for the first time inside of the tutorial world. It was so fun. Me and my cousin didn't have xbox Live, so we could only play together on split screen when we were at each other house. We didn't even really know how to truly play, but it was so fun nonetheless. Good times.

As a Orchestra and Band Student, I can say this is presentable to to my teacher for a preformance!
I play Cello for orchestra, And Baritone / Euphonium and Trombone (I switched sometime in 6th grade) And ever since i have been composing some music for my self!
Seriously though- i do need to see a Band Orchestra Ensamble. Aka Every orchestra instrument with every band instrument + Purcussion.

I enjoyed the music very much, contrarily to most people it's not because of nostalgia; the music is pretty good
The orchestral arrangement of this is just perfection; The harmonizing instruments, the varied and liberal use of different tones and sounds of instruments, the build ups, the swelling, all of it! Truly and wonderfully put together. Paired with the visuals of the video, this is in my opinion and experience from listening to many covers of various Minecraft songs, the very best cover out there, and it is unfortunately one of the less known ones as the views suggest. I wish this had gained more traction, because I believe every person who grew up with Minecraft will tear up listening to this. Thank you for this experience and congratulations for your brilliant work.

Mice on Venus is one of the more underrated songs in the Minecraft soundtrack. This is an awesome and well written remix, it preserves the nostalgia of the original yet it introduces much more. Keep it up, great job.

You know what's heartaching? The fact that I will never be able to visit that world and the other first ever worlds again. They may be gone, but the memories will stay no matter what.

I wish I could go back, I had lost my original Minecraft disc with everything on it, but I vividly remember it, playing Minecraft at my grandma's house, using my DS to record videos for me to watch later, and even going to the nether once. The last time I played on that disc, my parents brought home a new dog, which is the one we still have to this day, I remembering my heart dropping, and mice on venus was the song that was playing when they walked in, he's grown soo much, and I have too. I have way more responsibilities now, but I wish it was like how it was back then. I honestly tell this story every time I hear the song, and this is one of the songs that I would want to hear in 20+ years, after I find our xbox

I love this cover so much. It stays really faithful to C418's original version, while improving upon it and taking it a step further with this wonderful orchestration. To me, this screams nothing but love and respect towards the game and its composer. I could absolutely see this as a track that would play in the upcoming movie!

i do sound design for games and would love to learn how to start doing this ochestral stuff. any plans for videos on the creation process?
I actually have a video in the works about the creative process on a song I made for a client, unfortunately not orchestral, but if people like it I'll do more! Im planning on doing more orchestral covers as well though, so maybe I can showcase some behind the scenes stuff somewhere.
But if you wanna get started I'd recommend looking at what sample libraries are and how to use them. For orchestral stuff that's mostly what you will be using withing your DAW. Its what people use to create realistic orchestral sounds just from their PC. There are a ton of ones you can buy and theres a whole market out there for recording instruments so that composers can then play it on their computers, but theres also alottt of free sample libraries and sounds. Along with amazing free Orchestral writing tutorials.
