As far as selling art on Etsy, I sold 10 in three or four years. And all the rest of mine were very large and over $250 so I took them all off.

I agreed to the Etsy title change thingy. So many are against it, so as a contrarian, I had no choice. We'll see, wish me luck.
I think it opens you up to people thinking they're getting something they're not, so I hope that doesn't happen!
@@KaraBuntin I make and sell leather goods such as wallets and card holders. I have a video and my photos and descriptions are pretty straightforward. I guess I'll take one for the team. If I ever find out what happens, I'll post in your Facebook forum. As I recall, they said that they may or may not use my shop.
Yeah, and I don't know if they let you know whent hey change things. I think it's going to be more for truncating longer titles, which doesn't matter in Google search anyway, so who knows. I have a feeling it's one of those things that you'll never really get any data about.
Just some info for rebranding your shop, I have requested 4 or 5 times to change my shop name on Etsy. It requires me to send in a request, no problem. And each time I get a message back stating they cannot/will not change my shop name and give me branding reasons, etc blah blah blah. I have explained to them many many times why I wanted it changed. I was simply adding the word 'Handmade' to the end lol due to focusing more on the finished product rather than the patterns.
Nope, STILL will not change it. Honestly it ticked me off. I mean really, who are they to tell me what my business name should be? It's MY business...but yeah I am on THEIR platform, so it is what it is.
They let you change it once without giving you any trouble, but then it becomes a real hassle. And if someone else has the name you want they won't give it to you.

My thoughts are HELL NO to letting Etsy mess with my listing titles. The 15% means that you've opted in to offsite ads, but you could opt out if you want to. Go into your shop dashboard on desktop, click on settings, then offsite ads, and you can turn them off.

???So as far I remember I never turned "on" Off site ads and it cost me $23.25!!! what a rip off!! I shut that down asap...I had to first fnd where it was optioned first!!
It’s turned on automatically, so you have to opt out. They don’t make it easy to find.
