Etsy is also sending out "abandoned cart discount " within 1 hour or so of someone putting something in there cart! (that is of course if you are offering it, but within 1 hour! I had setup a custom listing for someone and they did not purchased immediately and when they did it was discounted.
I think they send it out sooner than an hour, to be honest. There are tons of people using that mroe often now, it's aggravating.
Got the course. Listened to almost all of part 1. But I am working on part 1,1 and 1,2. Let's just say it is heavy lifting and difficult to unbury a lot of the stuff. Sharing this I guess is part of my course work. Is the course worth it? Yes, but you have to put the work in.
I have this year started using vacation mode rather than extending shipment times and I've noticed no difference to my shop. My vacations are often up to 2 weeks.

This was my response from Etsy support regarding the POD custom products...I copied and pasted this...they took time to look into it and replied to me about a week later: "For your print-on-demand products with customization options, you can utilize mockups from the print-on-demand manufacturer to showcase the finished product. There's no need to purchase each item to display customized examples. The mockups should accurately represent the customization and final product to give your customers a clear idea of their purchase."
That’s 100% opposite what the actual policy says, so i wouldn’t go by that. Everything that’s been said so far is referring to actual photos of real items for the first listing photo. Etsy support has given a lot of incorrect answers in the past so i would tread carefully.
@@KaraBuntin Well everyone has to make decisions for their own business and this person was pretty clear in their response and showed that they understood my detailed question. I'll let you know if it gets taken down.
I don't know how they're going to police this anyway, but the policy is pretty clear. If they do the same quality of monitoring it as they usually do, though there's nothing to worry about.
@@KaraBuntin With my product they still have the listings up that say "Your Text Here" at the top of the results listed as bestseller and such.😹All of my listings are updated.

Let’s say you are selling a pink rhinestone tutu and someone else is selling a pink rhinestone tutu but they are both a different style then how are you not gonna end up with the same title if you are describing what it is?
You might, so you can't worry about it too much. In this situation we were talking about they had also copied the product.
