So good and butter makes everything better. Before roasting my turkey also gets a good coating of butter, sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper. Crisp skin and very juicy. Butter and the flour make a coating and keeps moisture in. I am 89 so have cooked a lot, plus I taught cooking for 8 years. Love this show, my favorite.

You are one of the few cooks who realizes how important it is to not only wash your hands but you put on gloves when you put your fingers in the food; this is something that all cooks should do. I have always just used olive oil and then put my seasonings on my chicken. Never thought of using butter instead of the olive oil but it sounds like it could be a game changer. Thank you Rachel.

But this is definitely a notch better than mine. Who knew what just a little butter would do to take this over the top. The butter plus the small amount of brown sugar mixed with the seasonings was a delicious addition. Omg!!! This chicken is the bomb , it was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it when I started. The only thing I did differently was cooking it in my Dutch oven . My family loved 🥰 it. A friend in Jamaica told me to rub my chicken ir pork with fresh lime or lemon before seasoning; she said it opens the poresc😢f the meat & helps it absorb the spices. I like that you prepped your chicken with butter & the combo of spices with the hint o f brown sugar sounds perfectly delicious. I baje it sometimes with BBQ sauce that I make,(start with half coke & half ketchup & add the spices you like along with some cayenne pepper,garlic cloves or garlic powder,lemon pepper some brown sugar,prepared mustard,chopped sweet onions, diced & heat on medium until it starts to simmer; turn it down to low heat, cover with lid & let it simmer until it thickens. I love that you can add equal parts of coke & tomato ketchup if you didn't make enough & increase the spices to taste. Hope you try this & I bet you & Ron will like it. I made this for dinner tonight. It was delicious. The only thing that I changed was I used a Smoky Paprika because I didnt have regular paprika. It was still delicious. Thank you for your recipes and I love how you detail everything. This is a keeper!!

I just made this baked chicken for dinner tonight and it is out of this world fantastic! I’ve been cooking for years and my baked chicken thighs have always been a favorite. But this is definitely a notch better than mine. Who knew what just a little butter would do to take this over the top. The butter plus the small amount of brown sugar mixed with the seasonings was a delicious addition. I love watching your channel, the only food one I watch and I’m glad I recently found it because I’m a fan!

Omg!!! This chicken is the bomb , it was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it when I started. The only thing I did differently was cooking it in my Dutch oven . My family loved 🥰 it. This dish will be made numerous times, I know my family. This sounds fabulous & I am anxious to try it! I love your videos & an glad I found you again. I hope you are settled in your new home & thanks so much for sharing this recipie. A friend in Jamaica told me to rub my chicken ir pork with fresh lime or lemon before seasoning; she said it opens the poresc😢f the meat & helps it absorb the spices. I like that you prepped your chicken with butter & the combo of spices with the hint o f brown sugar sounds perfectly delicious. I baje it sometimes with BBQ sauce that I make,(start with half coke & half ketchup & add the spices you like along with some cayenne pepper,garlic cloves or garlic powder,lemon pepper some brown sugar,prepared mustard,chopped sweet onions, diced & heat on medium until it starts to simmer; turn it down to low heat, cover with lid & let it simmer until it thickens. I love that you can add equal parts of coke & tomato ketchup if you didn't make enough & increase the spices to taste. Hope you try this & I bet you & Ron will like it. I especially like it in baked beans. Thanks again for sharing your gift of cooking with so many of us. God bless...
