They got discontinued pretty quickly. But I really like the Myles Kennedy model! It looks great, sounds great-who would have thought that Myles would go for something that sounds like a great Tele? I thought he was a hard-rock guy!

    • @Spidouz

Hey, Brent Mason owner here too… They actually made it for 2012 and 2013 (mine is a 2013). I really wonder which one of the MK or the NF53 is the closest to a vintage ‘50s Tele… I like that the MK has locking tuners, 5 way switch, tilted bridge PU, but I don’t know if it’s the best “Tele” of the two. I already have the Brent Mason, Silver Sky (for Strat tones), SC 594 (for Les Paul tones), so really now I want a PRS for Tele tones :)

John, I listened to your take here, because I found your demos of the SE Hollobody to be informative . And .. you have done the best demo (so far) on a guitar I will not be buying.
I think there are Teles, and many Tele clones that already cover this territory, for far less $$$.
Your demo does however, show how this guitar, may be several of the Teles rolled into one ( I still would rather have an Tele array,) 😄
I'd really rather see PRS use all their guitar acumen/expertise/ mojomagic... To do something unique and NEW, as opposed to "improving" Leo Fenders 70 year old (but tried & true) designs

The NF53 is built and voiced based on the 1953 Fender Tele from Paul’s vault… so it makes sense it’s name NF53, like the 635JM pickups are voiced around ‘63 and ‘64 Strats from John Mayer, so it became 635 (half way between a ‘63 and a ‘64). PRS is peculiar in that they make both some of the prettiest and ugliest guitars around. These fall into the ugly category.

To those of you that love that guitar great but to me that is one of the ugliest I’ve ever seen.

Prs fan, esthetically I don't think it's cool. Reverend t style is kinda how to do it with a twist. Miles is outstanding musician.

Yeah, to me the biggest appeal of PRS is their original shapes, not the we modified a strat or we modified a tele. What's next, the PRS Teisco?

This seems to be a pretty big twist. This does not resemble a Telecaster.

Calling it or putting 53 in the title had to have been a joke

Maybe he should have kept Joe Knaggs around?

I just picked up a Core Mira a little while ago. Great guitar.

Can’t get past the headstocks on their Strat and Tele style guitars. Just awful aesthetically.
