It Breaks my heart. I too was in the Navy. During Operation Desert Storm. I got out just a few years ago. Every time I was deployed my wife would have to pull the boys off me. The boys are tough as nails like their mom. But my oldest who was 14-16 at the time. He turned out to be as emotionally Sensitive as his hold man. But was not a cryer. If he cried a little it was what’s wrong. When he was 15 i surprised the boys. When he saw me I knew he was tearing. But when he ran at me he was in full meltdown. That was the last deployment. He had something happen to him and I felt that I had done my bit. And it was time for me to be a dad that was home after work. My Kids had sacrificed enough.
She might have been assigned to an Army detachment, or serving a special assignment. But no, all branches do not wear that uniform. Only under special circumstances.
True. This is possible. Not common but definitely possible. And no Ken not all services wear that uniform. Under extremely specific situations they may be authorized but in regular day operations, only the Army wear the ACU or now the OCP pattern uniforms.
