Answer to the title, definitely not the best cafe. But possibly the most bang for your buck outside of RE. No amount of specs can really do this specimen justice. It is what it is, the quintessential near-perfect cafe-style motorcycle. Unless you respect your neighbors, because it's kind of loud.

I love 😍 😍 that noise. Music to my ears. Without that noise, it wouldn't be a Triumph . The only noise was right att he beginning & end of your video 😎

Live in Austin too! Considering this same exact bike too. Love the chrome forks tbh over the gold in the thruxtons

When i was working i was always swapping my bikes for what i thought was a better bike.Im now retired and cant afford to do that so i have had my 18 plate Street Cup for 4 years.Whenever i go out of it i feel special,i get lots of thumbs up from young and old.The gearing is perfect imo and the sound is spot on.I havent felt the need to do any mods apart from R&G crash bungs.

I adore my Street Cup. And I personally disagree on the loudness of the pipes. I thought they were quite lacking, so I got a new set and removed the CAT.
It's now much louder, and gives all those sexy pops and bangs when letting off the throttle.

i prefer to be heard before seen..so loud pipes are great

I have an x-pipe and TEC cans. I want to ditch the cans and get custom slash cut pipes to make it louder 😂 My neighbour loves me.

@@arceyesgonna finally fit my Xpipe and might just have to go the same route as you. Currently got some shotgun pipes from Motone but they're internally baffled

i revisited the sound issue in another video, i think it was helmet amplifying the bass. i road it a few times without a helmet and it was not loud at all, actually perfect for a twin.

Thank you for selling your Street Cup.... it's to good for you

That IS a nice sounding exhaust!! But I can see that if you daily it, it can get to you after a while. I removed the dB killer of my SC Project on my Street Triple. I had to put it back. Crazy, eardrum-popping loud. Thanks for the video and the quick history of the Street Cup and Bonneville line-up. 😊

Yeah I wish I had a DB option on this thing. Whats great about the triple (owned one too) is you can just chill at 4k-6k rpm without much sound drama. This twin howls at the crack of 2.5k rpms and redlines at 6k. thanks for the view!

@@flip_moto So true about sitting at 4k-6k rpm. Has a nice buzz sound in that range. Nothing like the sound of a Triumph Triple!! 😁

I want a street cup, I'm short and I like that it is lighter. It needs to be noisy for Safety!

I've had my Street Cup for four years and it's a brilliant bike. The reason it's louder than stock is because a previous owner removed the Cat. One of your respondents suggested this and is 100% correct. Your original vid. on purchase shoes the 'x' pipe clearly. Shame you sold it. :-(

Nice review. Too loud??? You're the only triumph owner who I've ever heard say that. When the thruxon 900 came out everyone complained the stock pipes were too quiet lol. Each to their own. The loud noise will save you from being hit by a car though... they may hear the nose and realize you are there. Stock pipes would be way cheaper than buying another bike... the tax of a new bike alone will cost as much as new pipes. Aero pipes are fairly quiet from my experience having them before... not quite but quieter...

I'd say by the sound of it there is an x pipe installed. If you fit the catalytic converter back on it would be much quieter. That is not a stock sounding bike.

Whole video was good till the moment that you say , you going for electric bike, I lost my faith. I love bikes and that's the beauty of having real petrol engin , that make this beaty noise. Electric bik is just gay😢not real , is no motorcycle spirit in it, I'm my opinion.

That's a really narrow-minded outlook. I usually keep 3 to 4 bikes at a time, so the EV won't be my only one. I love petrol bikes as much I love new shit. Try and see that EV bikes have some real positives. The instant torque is incredible!
