Right after Allison Young finished singing for thousands of fans on the Postmodern Jukebox US Spring Tour, we hit the studio to record a haunting, jazz ballad version of Patsy Cline's "Strange" (from her 1962 album, "Sentimentally Yours").

Allison doesn't just sing; She tells a story with her hands, eyes, body and voice. The backing arrangement is superb... especially the piano part. My highest compliments go out to all who were involved.

It's a lovely piece, with a lovely singer and I wouldn't ask for any change, but I think Patsy's version would have greatly benefitted from a similar arrangement. Patsy always had to contend with overly loud backing singers and "Nashville Sound" arrangements. Sometimes simple is best!

Wonderful version by a group of superb musicians . Allison is one of the very few these days, that can do this type of music the way it was intended.

I saw Allison singing on a few RUclips videos a couple of years back, and thought she could certainly sing, but nowadays she's just knocking it out of the park!

I think it's amazing that Allison is now basically the lead singer of PMJ, big congrats, but part of me is gonna miss her solo work. It was really cool how she played every instrument herself, and her original songs were great.
She just released an EP of 5 original songs she co wrote and performed with Joshua Lee Turner and she is starting a UK tour with Josh today. The new songs are on ,Josh turner guitar ,channel on RUclips and is on all the streaming services.
She seems just as much at home doing this sophisticated type of music as she does actually recording at home.
Patsy Cline would be proud!

As usual Allison sounds great but I keep waiting for her to show us the power and emotion of her full voice. I’ve seen it, I know it’s there and we get teases but she holds on to her vocal belt like it’s money. I wanna hear her wail.
