Yoooo! I made the CD V-B-61! That's so cool to see it in the video! I see you discovered why it has the wing tip landing gear!
Edit: Oh lord! I forgot to add brakes!
Somehow this fits to the postapocalyptic description xD
"Huh, I forgot to consider how to stop...."
@@bl4cksp1d3r”oh shit he actually made it back oh that doesn’t bode well”
hmm "cock door"
Thi jiggling from the X-02S is probably due to the Hydraulic pressure in the engine or lack thereof
Or... a feedback loop
@@imnotoriginal2481 both actually lol. Just tried it out myself, pumped up its hydraulic pressure and fiddled with the Fly-by-wire. Alleviated it somewhat so it's wiggling only starts at high dynamic pressures. So mach 1.6 at low altitudes and ~2.6 at high altitudes
@@xXManhattanProjectXx the hydraulic pumps give the rudders power? i couldn't find any info on tuning utility drive, or what they do, everything seems to work with both at 0
The jagged edges on panels is called saw tooth it's designed to negate the amount of reflection from radar
Ace Combat doesn't mess around with its Original Aircraft series.
From ADF to Delphinus, PAce's designers take no quarter.
Some really good builds here, I love the ekranoplan, might have a think about making a ground effect fighter for a future submission.
Thanks for flying my F7 Switchblade btw!
You might have to get creative with the manoeuvrability, you can typically only experience ground effect at half a wingspans altitude so aggressively rolling to turn isn’t really an option. You could go for a gunboat-esque turret fighter?
@@meanmotherstuka6630 sounds pretty cool tbh, i was thinking of doing something which used the ground effect to build up lots of speed, and make some sort of interceptor, either way i'm not going to make it for a while, as i am quite busy building my Kalinin K-7, and its parasite fighter rn
@@meanmotherstuka6630 or give a bank angle just to cockpit, a rolling cockpit!😍
So, writer here, there are a few ways to choose a tag. You can
-just grab a random word that has a nice ring to it and roll with that
-pick a tag either way some significance to you personally
-grab a bunch ‘a’ letters you like and throw ‘em in an anagram scrambler
What matters most about it is that you gel with it, and that you like writing it
Glad my craft made it to the video. Awesome!
Once again getting blown away by Ace Combat super fighter will have to see you react to all the fictional aircraft from the games, there are some really good designs
Apparently all of AC's super fighters are viable designs i.e. they WOULD fly if built.
they should add cockdoor to every plane
I love ekranoplans, thanks for including one. I might build one myself.
What is the advantage of an ekranoplane as opposed to conventional craft?
@@wynandviljoen2205 There isn't much of an advantage but they look cool.
One advantage however, is that unlike planes, ekranoplans have no wingtip vortices so they have less drag whilst flying.
@@wynandviljoen2205can function like a boat but at speeds of a plane with decent carrying weight
@@wynandviljoen2205 iirc the whole point is to be more of a addition to the navy not a replacement for aircraft or a addition to the airforce, this is because it needed a flat surface like the water, and it could not go to anywhere near the altitude a conventional craft could. and the larger it got the more stable it was so it would have to be very large to make it useful and would be best used as a warship.
iirc it would be relatively save from mines and torpedoes because it can fly over the surface instead of going in the water. and it would be able to go much faster then a conventional warship.
Kinda wish you tried to do a top speed test with the X-02S even with the jiggling. Also, maybe make yourself a checklist for every plane so that you remember to show the cockpit, do top speed tests, etc. Otherwise great job!
The F7 switchblade looks like a dragonfly
21:58 do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it
So happy to see that there’s a series now nice video patch bits keep up the great work
Entertaining video as always! You have a good format.
16:14 It was just called the KM (Korabl Maket) by the USSR.
the ekranoplan one was misnamed as that was a theoretical design from a russian aeronautical engineer while the ekranoplans were designed by a ship builder and the one in this video was actually designed to be a super fast aircraft carier
Keep the community videos coming!
wow, that x-02s was really cool
I imagine the ground effect aircraft be a pretty good alternative to a flying aircraft carrier because of its high-speed and high weight capacity
really cool to see this stuff in the discord then watch them be flown by the man himself
that giant ekranoplan was actually a concept by beriev but well... the soviet union kinda collapsed when they made the design
Ah the problem you had in the beginning seems to be some wrong calculation with the ground effect interaction in the newest version of the game, multiple people have noticed it
Listen. Listen. Ground effect carrier. Speed up toward the operation zone giving the planes a huge initial speed, so they can carry more ordnance instead of burning fuel for start. Also no need to play with catapults etc., planes can take off much faster! :D
Now that is cool
You can press v twice and then c to have a follow camera further away while in mouse aim flight.
7:01 World War II design wings were not suitable for transonic to supersonic speed. Even before the sound threshold, most planes of that era couldn’t even exceed 400 mph without having the control surfaces Locking up. A prime example of this wing design phenomenon are the early models of the P 38 lightning. Where in a dive, the control surfaces on the wings of the P 38 locked up, causing a fatal nosedive.
A supersonic airliner would be a good episode
i bet you patchbits that you did not read this
Ok!
Damn G, you got him to read it
Oooohh, seeing that Ekranoplan has me wanting to see the one in Eighty-Six built in the game! (The XC-1 Nachzehrer )
that would totaly fly real life wings would work ive seen a lawn mower fly and a shopping trolly x wing should work just fine
I think it would be cool if you did a collab with eta320
The first one is supposed to be a civil air patrol aircraft
22:52 you have an oscillation .
You should really do these reviews for Sprocket too. Lots of awesome designs on the official server blueprint channel for example
Hey Patch i have a question, how difficult is it to get the hang of designing in Flyout?
If you haven't already, I believe your jiggling issues are probably due to your Physics Update Rate. Might be set too low for certain designs
The ekranoplan was a real idea by Bartini
EKRANOPLANE!!!!
Please make a huge bomber
Guys i have a camera problem in flyout that i cant see my plane when spawned in, can anyone help me?
How do you restart the engine after turning it off like that ?
ill do 5 push ups for every like
670 reps stat
I am here earlier than early
yes you are
Dont care
@@roaling2 you cared enough to comment
@@Amelia-mq6hm sure, but no one cares that you're baiting likes
Hi :D
A world with no runways😂
purple
How do you get bombs in flyout?
Currently they're custom models, not actual in game parts.
Helloo
I don't know what to say
I think I just killed you in War Thunder
