      @@xfrostyresonance8614 bigger control surfaces have better control authority, you can move them less to control the aircraft, so it means less impact on the fighter’s rcs. Advancement in fly-by-wire tech allows for even more unstable aerodynamic design, fighters can fly and maneuver at even higher AoA and lower speed without canards or tvc

    A very interesting design for a multi-roll stealth plane! However, I am curious why you chose the less stealthly diverter style inlets as opposed to the divertless “bulge” system used by the F-35.

    • @messier82ac
      @messier82ac  5 месяцев назад +1

      The "Bulge" In the F-35 is known as a diverterless supersonic inlet. They vastly improve intake volume at low speeds and high AoA over an intake with a diverter but aren't inherently "more stealthy" than any other stealth intake. (For example, the F-35 has a -30 frontal dBsM while the F-22, with diverters, has -40). While I wanted to do one, it would just end up looking even MORE like an F-35, which I was already getting complaints about, so I decided not to.

    They should somehow store stealth jets in the space in a vacuum so they wouldnt need as much maintenance. And the when it needs to be used get a pilot in there from the soace or something and just launch it back to earth.
    But if a pilot was in space in 0 gravity, going instantly to 8Gs wouldn’t be good. Unless the astronaut was in a soinning satellite that had 1G in it

    • @LtPulsar
      @LtPulsar 3 месяца назад +1

      That's a very... creative idea. It however, would most likely complicate things far more than you anticipate. For one, space requires radiation hardening, cosmic radiation in space is not only harmful to living creatures, but also sensitive electronics such as are found in avionics and guidance systems. Secondly, re-entry is massively taxing on an airframe, requiring expensive, heavy and maintenance-demanding heat shielding, which is likely incompatible with the RAM coating used to make the aircraft less visible to stealth. Not to mention that anything that just underwent re-entry would stick out like a sore thumb on infra-red sensors, being extremely hot. Plus, the logistical issues of actually getting planes, pilots, replacement parts and ordnance up to orbit are prohibitive in the extreme. We can barely get enough tonnage to orbit to do simple research right now, let alone station and staff an entire airbase.
      All that said, the idea sounds awesome in concept, dropping a plane out of orbit to ruin someone's day. It definitely satisfies the rule of cool.

The tiltrotor would also be a multirole as it could get outfitted with weaponry, while maybe having somewhat of a cargo bay for ammunition or supplies. Also instead of angling the weapons carriers downward and ejecting forwards, let them slide out the back between the engines. Would that make them any less radar visible? Interesting stuff for an old Vietnam era air winger, thinki F4 Phantom.

But i digress the joke was about the supposed stealth '' invisibility'' to radar which is just a myth , it all depends on the radiation aspect and the means of detection employed.

      @@alb9229 Incorrect. Neva has the same same wavelength search radar as Dvina and Volkhov, P15 and P18, and these can detect low observable planes depending on altitude 30-150km out. Its tracking complex is the SNR125, which is an SNR75 turned 45 degrees, and uses the same 3cm wavelength as SNR75, and has no beneficial detection characteristic against low observable aircraft. The dm wavelength UV12 antenna is a radio trasciever for command guidance of the rocket, not a radar antenna. Its detection range against the nighthawk is estimated at 9km, just barely sufficient to allow for a kinematically possible shootdown. The way the battery in Serbia managed it is by observing the ingress rout of the F117 over multiple days, and deploying the battery with dormant radar right in its path, only radiating once the plane had no chance to notch the shot.
      What Neva was designed for, and what it is extremely good at is picking out returns from ground clutter and noise jamming. It does this by diagonally ofset mechanically scanning pulsedoppler radars for the guidance, with five separate beams, four of which aim to bracket the target aiming for lowest return signal. This last feature may aid it against targets with returns closer to background noise level, but it also has nothing to do with its radar's vawelength.

    would look better with a bubble dome cockpit, but i still LOVE this design!

    Can you try to build a twin engine(one above another, like English lighning have) plane with separating drone (like Lockheed M-21).

    If you gave it thrust nozzles like on the harrier, wouldn't it cover the rear as well and make it even more stealthy?

    What stops countries from covering their skys in radar beams using ground based and possibly satelites and have only rader detectors therfore you can use it more like eyes rather than ears meaning whatever the shape you will be able to see all of its cross section

    I somehow like this plane so much more then actual combat planes out there
    if I knew how, I would put it into wart hunter
