34 minutes long and this is the abridged version... Maybe I ramble a bit lmfao
F35 AnD Yf23 HaD a BaBy
It's good ramble, you talk about aviation and how and why you do things and what makes them important. The content you make is incredible, keep it up. Your awesome mate👍
Gif us the long version
Rambling about personal interests? That is literally the fun part!
@messier82ac Maybe you're doing just fine and imposter syndrome is rearing its ugly head? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Stealth is cringe, my fighters will amplify their radar cross section with luneberg reflectors to create a return so big it blinds the radar.
legitimately not a bad idea
Won’t that blind your radar too
@@CarterDauerso what we got eyes
@@CarterDauer Radar is cringe. Embrace IRST.
in all seriousness, could this actually work though?
edit: now that I think about it, this is basically just jamming
12:44 Jimmy is staring into my soul
He knows what you did...
@@messier82ac
*AND THE DEVIL KNOWS WHO YOU ARE!*
@@messier82acit was an accident it wasn’t my fault
12:11 The cube! World's best stealth jet fighter
USS Nimitz would agree 😂
Before time began, there was... The Cube.
I saw you edit it
This video will be super handy! I just tried making a stealth fighter based on the Su-57. It had a terrible stealth rating which is... accurate...
Hide yo compressors!
Sounds like a perfect replica of the real Su-57.
...so you made an Su-57.
Hi cool gas mask guy!!!
Seems accurate.
Get this man a job at Skunkworks
not if i get there first
Huh, so that's why he's taking a break.
The stealth rate of the cube going from 0.01 to 30156 really made me laugh 😂
We need W or M shaped wings if we want a high rating
Awesome! Would be really cool to see you tackle helicopters in future projects as well. Maybe a modern AH-56?
you say the landing gear section is boring
there may not be much of anything to talk about there, but honestly I find it pretty interesting watching you set up the landing gear housing
mostly because I'm utterly hopeless at it myself xddddddddddd
Lol I cut like 10 minutes of stuff out of the video to keep it under 40 minutes unfortunately
@@messier82ac Why did you want to keep it under 40 minutes?
@@messier82ac I think the people that play/watch stuff related to this game and willing to hear you talk about the engineering behind a stealth aircraft... probably wouldn't mind hearing all the other little details even if it's an hour long lol.
22:12 Us maintainers hate you too! (lmao great vid)
Hands down one of the best videos you made to date. The intro is solid gold, the blueprints and explanations are pristine, the explanations are clear and understandable. Not to mention the little cinematic (quite splendid imho) and how RAD the aircraft looks and performs.
9 out of 11, I loved it.
It tickled your towers eh
@@xfrostyresonance8614 It indeed tickled.
These videos of yours have ramped up massively in quality. Don't worry about video length so much when the real world information is so well explained and detailed
WoW iT LooKs LiKe A f35 anD a YF23 HaD the HoT Steamy Sekks!!!1!! 😮
Lol
What the Kentucky Fried F-16 Fighting Falcon Fuck did i just read
Is this an opportunity for r34 artists? Seems like an untapped market
Spacy, what the fuck
Oh gods, you didn't have to expose yourself as a member of NonCredibleDefense, kamerad....
F22, YF23, and F35 combined. A beautiful aircraft
From what I’ve seen, 5th gen fighters tend ro have excellent AoA characteristics, even the the F-35 it doesn’t have tvc or the canard configuration like the SU-37 (except the delta canard config), it could perform some insane AoA, even some post stall maneuver.
Well yeah, most stealth fighters have absolutely massive control surfaces
@@xfrostyresonance8614 bigger control surfaces have better control authority, you can move them less to control the aircraft, so it means less impact on the fighter’s rcs. Advancement in fly-by-wire tech allows for even more unstable aerodynamic design, fighters can fly and maneuver at even higher AoA and lower speed without canards or tvc
26:26 Leaked Ace Combat 8 pre-alpha gameplay footage???
This time set in the downright batshit insane nation of Wellow in the Strangereal universe, you play as Scarlet 2, pilot of an experimental aircraft. Tasked with testing the aircraft and demarcating its abilities at first, you eventually are presented with a massive crisis in the Arctic Circle, your ticket to going down (pun intended) in history as one of the great Aces of Strangereal.
The most underrated aviation related channel! Such commitment and attention to detail! 🤘🔥 love your videos man keep it up!
I remember seeing some of the wip shots on discord, and man does it look even better completed. Fantastic work on this
0:00 - Intro
3:39 - Introduction of LF-27 Longsword
7:01 - Building
26:21 - Cinematic
28:49 - Summary
I very much apreciate both the picture of bo and the family guy funny moments playlist, really keeps the pilot company on those longer missions.
2:39 hull “a northern fishing town” was the first northern and last city to be bombed in the UK during the war and was bombed quite often and heavily tho we were spared V1/2 attacks for the most part
The LF-27 looks like a YF-23 and an F-35 had a baby. I like it!
true
man i love this mans yap sessions
I haven't even watched it yet but i already can tell its gonna be great! thanks messier!
Great scenario playing near the end there, very ace combat-ish but orange like wingman
finally someone who also know about the angry red guy who wants to "protect" the people he nuked twice.
in all seriousness my favorite quote comes from skill issued red man
"monarch... when you hear the thunder... when the storm comes for you... remember me"'
If Sukhoi had Lockheed-level budget and engineering for the Su-75.
Messier we would love a longer version of your videos ! (Maybe on another channel, or a playlist of them) Amazing aircraft as always
i second this
Amazing design, glad the paper i sent you was useful for something, the plane looks great
First of all, your videos are getting better and better, second, your craft is Gorgeous, I myself playing Juno New Origins on mobile since my pc died, minding about buying a new one just for Flyout!
dude this plane looks so cool so clean bro
Amazing video man, keep it up!
Beautifully edited, bravo 👏
Messier thank you so much for your content I praise you and your creations
Glad you like them!
2 things this game needs, Multiplayer, PVP and War Thunder like controls mode, i bet would be so fun to play
thanks for this guide!
It will be of great use to me!
Yes, please make a video indepth explaining modern combat plane jet engines. And maybe some of the early ones as well
Messier82.. WONDERFUL TO SEE HOW FAR YOU HAVE GONE.
incredible aircraft you made and incredible video! me myslef im working on as aircraft but it's based more on DSB-LK design. as of yet top speed is about 4.7 mach with turbofans i think? has a low bypass and currently has bit stability issue in the mode it would fly in at high speeds in reality but that feature isn't ingame yet so it's not a priority:D i wish you good luck and fun
Great video, I really enjoyed as usual. You could make a series of "Building the best 1Gen fighter, 2Gen, 3Gen... 6Gen"
I was about to desing my first stealth plane in flyout, this comes in handy
loved that cinematic
rlly interesting and cool design, i find it funny how to deploy countermeasures u have to increase ur radar cross section 😂
A plane made of chocolate would absorb all microwave and even radar waves too!
.... I wanted to create all my dream planes in Flyout, but Messier just did the work for me... but 100x better. Thanks
That family guy and temple runners probably comes in handy during those long endurance missions
Plane looks Beautiful!
The govt in 2 weeks: It's crazy how messier 82 committed unliving by two gunshot wounds to the back of his head
A very interesting design for a multi-roll stealth plane! However, I am curious why you chose the less stealthly diverter style inlets as opposed to the divertless “bulge” system used by the F-35.
The "Bulge" In the F-35 is known as a diverterless supersonic inlet. They vastly improve intake volume at low speeds and high AoA over an intake with a diverter but aren't inherently "more stealthy" than any other stealth intake. (For example, the F-35 has a -30 frontal dBsM while the F-22, with diverters, has -40). While I wanted to do one, it would just end up looking even MORE like an F-35, which I was already getting complaints about, so I decided not to.
So well produced. Fucking diabolical Work
They should somehow store stealth jets in the space in a vacuum so they wouldnt need as much maintenance. And the when it needs to be used get a pilot in there from the soace or something and just launch it back to earth.
But if a pilot was in space in 0 gravity, going instantly to 8Gs wouldn’t be good. Unless the astronaut was in a soinning satellite that had 1G in it
That's a very... creative idea. It however, would most likely complicate things far more than you anticipate. For one, space requires radiation hardening, cosmic radiation in space is not only harmful to living creatures, but also sensitive electronics such as are found in avionics and guidance systems. Secondly, re-entry is massively taxing on an airframe, requiring expensive, heavy and maintenance-demanding heat shielding, which is likely incompatible with the RAM coating used to make the aircraft less visible to stealth. Not to mention that anything that just underwent re-entry would stick out like a sore thumb on infra-red sensors, being extremely hot. Plus, the logistical issues of actually getting planes, pilots, replacement parts and ordnance up to orbit are prohibitive in the extreme. We can barely get enough tonnage to orbit to do simple research right now, let alone station and staff an entire airbase.
All that said, the idea sounds awesome in concept, dropping a plane out of orbit to ruin someone's day. It definitely satisfies the rule of cool.
Nice video as always. Could you make a video on engines though? My engines always have 5 minutes of fuel with less thrust, and I just can’t seem to fix it.
A very cool video idea would be to look at the history of swedish fighters and then design Swedens next version fighter, short take off and landing(maybe reverse thrust like the viggen) Maybe add canards? Yeah i think it would be cool
this is such a beauty, i wish i could ever make planes as well as you.
M82 never cease to amaze
It looks a bit like the Su 75 and they will probably both stay as as a dream, not enough money to produce them 😅. Anyway great video as always! (a 35 minutes video is not boring when it is entertaining)
Epic vid bro
Good to know we got temple run and family guy clips included with it along with a picture of your cat
Messier really just made me want to invest in the defence industry, god dam it
This shares a lot of traits with the shadow sabre, like the all moving stabilizer and the wing shape.
i love it, it made me think of an su-75
With regards to the exhaust. How effective would an F-22 style flat exhaust be when it comea to reducing both radar and heat signatures ?
That is a GLORIOUSLY slick looking bird. I'm impressed.
Okay so maybe could do you do a video/ explain that how to do custom weapons, and show it how to do it, and show which mods are you using ? (and maybe explain how to do cool weapon bays like in the cinematic)
good job messi
Maybe you could try to make a stealth tilt rotor aircraft to supply the LF27 or give fire support for it, like how lazerlink works on most aircraft doing CAS or SEAD, that would be really cool. The tiltrotor would also be a multirole as it could get outfitted with weaponry, while maybe having somewhat of a cargo bay for ammunition or supplies. OR maybe I'm just biased towards the Osprey and would love to see your opinion on this lol
Even with all of the "incoherent rambling" I always manage to learn something about aviation from your channel. And I'm an aviation enthusiast I research aviation all the time
was that the 4.5 gen fighter from couple vids ago
also why did the front bay have to rotate couldn't you have put a hydraulic piston that lowers so it launches straight
Peak has returned with another masterpiece 🎉
Still waiting the curtiss xp-71 😅
What do you use for flight controls? Your keyboard or some other controller? Its my biggest gripe with flyout is that the actual flying is kind of a pain to do smoothly. Looks like you have a handle on it so curious
I use an xbox controller, which seems to have pretty good support with the game. Smooth rudder movement is a problem but otherwise it makes everything very easy
this is amazing
Good video fam.
Given that the ideal design for a stealth plane is a featureless triangle, I wonder if it's possible to build a practical fighter with that shape. Darpa is working on flying planes without control surfaces atm, for maximum stealth. Is that even possible to emulate in Flyout?
Flyout doesnt simulate occlusion, sp you can just hide your control surfaces in a box. IRL you would have to use airbreaks like most flying wings, or an RCS system like Harrier.
I gotta ask, do you use some sort of joystick/yoke setup? Because if not, you really should. It is intact possible to connect one to Flyout, as I have one myself. Also, amazing video!
I cant wait for you to make s varisble wing stealth sircraft.
"combat has been a part of history longer than history itself" goes hard asf
oh damn i saw you make this thing on stream lol
thank you so so much for this video! ive been wondering how to make a plane actually stealthy becuz of my stupid ass
Doesn't this plane looks like the future European fighter, the FCAS ?
If the FCAS is that efficient and that stealthy, it's gonna compete the F35 ❤
Any chance you could make a video on tips about making an aircraft???
Only one Question. Why is the surface on the bottom curved and not flat? Wouldnt that increase the RCS?
I am deeply disappointed that the temple run footage was not included in the cockpit. You will be hearing from my legal team about this.
I'm curious what a B-1 with a YF-23 tail section RCS would be and look like?
i think lockheed martin skunk works wants you
Looks like a 3D model I made on tinker cad I while back called the F-8 blizzard
“easier than you think” Lockheed Martin would like to know your location
do you need a mod to change the time or am i missing something cuz that looks really cool
Hey! I'm a maintainer! GA but still,, this is why I hate engineers! I knew y'all had it out for us! Awesome build and vid tho keep it coming.👍
What would happen if you designed a plane with a backward sloping canard and a foward sloping wing that were tied together with turbulence generators on the vertical connectors? Also instead of angling the weapons carriers downward and ejecting forwards, let them slide out the back between the engines. Would that make them any less radar visible? Interesting stuff for an old Vietnam era air winger, thinki F4 Phantom.
Guy : How I Built a Stealth Fighter That's INVISIBLE on Radar .
L-band radar : Sorry cheaf nobody told me you were supposed to be invisible .
Meter wavelength radar does detect low observable craft at long range, yes, thoigh still reduced, but it has positional accuracy utterly insufficient for direct engagement.
You can vector fighters on it via GCI, but they will still need their own tracks on short wavelength radar or IRST to be able to engage.
@@egoalter1276 That is why on S-125 fire control is provided by the SNR-125 radar which functions in I/D bands and which visibly has enough tracking resolution to take down the F-117 ( one shot down one damaged ) . But i digress the joke was about the supposed stealth '' invisibility'' to radar which is just a myth , it all depends on the radiation aspect and the means of detection employed.
@@alb9229 Incorrect. Neva has the same same wavelength search radar as Dvina and Volkhov, P15 and P18, and these can detect low observable planes depending on altitude 30-150km out. Its tracking complex is the SNR125, which is an SNR75 turned 45 degrees, and uses the same 3cm wavelength as SNR75, and has no beneficial detection characteristic against low observable aircraft. The dm wavelength UV12 antenna is a radio trasciever for command guidance of the rocket, not a radar antenna. Its detection range against the nighthawk is estimated at 9km, just barely sufficient to allow for a kinematically possible shootdown. The way the battery in Serbia managed it is by observing the ingress rout of the F117 over multiple days, and deploying the battery with dormant radar right in its path, only radiating once the plane had no chance to notch the shot.
What Neva was designed for, and what it is extremely good at is picking out returns from ground clutter and noise jamming. It does this by diagonally ofset mechanically scanning pulsedoppler radars for the guidance, with five separate beams, four of which aim to bracket the target aiming for lowest return signal. This last feature may aid it against targets with returns closer to background noise level, but it also has nothing to do with its radar's vawelength.
The jet reminds me of the F160 Raiju
12:56 so can this can technically be a feature in the game
would look better with a bubble dome cockpit, but i still LOVE this design!
Can you try to build a twin engine(one above another, like English lighning have) plane with separating drone (like Lockheed M-21).
gorgeous plane
If you gave it thrust nozzles like on the harrier, wouldn't it cover the rear as well and make it even more stealthy?
do you sketch out your planes before you make them?
Looks perfectly credible.
What stops countries from covering their skys in radar beams using ground based and possibly satelites and have only rader detectors therfore you can use it more like eyes rather than ears meaning whatever the shape you will be able to see all of its cross section
plane go brrrrr
TLDR: Messier builds a Checkmate (but better)
I somehow like this plane so much more then actual combat planes out there
if I knew how, I would put it into wart hunter
