That Ki-Lano was the first prop plane i made that actually flew. I don't know what you did to that plane to get it that fast, but there was no point in time during the designing of that craft where I wasn't constantly falling out of the sky. Hence the ailerons helping with pitch. I got it to about 300 kph but that was about it. Also the fuel tank in the center of the plane was supposed to simulate about 2000 kg of bombs, if I recall correctly.
That tri-engine German concept could make an excellent high altitude long range transport plane , high thrust and high wing surface area , good lift , at high altitude , big wings and drag are no issue , but thrust and engines running out of air is !
Cool designs there! I would recommend flying with a joystick or even a gaming controller just for better flight control inputs. That will almost certainly make flying most of these aircraft immensely easier.
14:35 First video of yours I've EVER seen, and you come out with this gem less than 15 minutes in 😆 Yes... I shall watch your career with great interest... =p
For gear bay doors, PAtR showed their way to get them working in the discord, i would link, but youtube and hyperlinks. Basically you set a custom input that lets you delay the gear extension on deployment, and door retraction on stowing which then removes the clipping. For the weapons, Tab will switch between systems, and F with fire them, without firing the guns.
(Day 2) Suggestion: A fifth-Gen stealth Air-Superiority fighter, similar to the F22 perhaps you could use the fuselage from you stealth fighter design In 2018(ish) Lockheed Martin proposed an aircraft to the Japan Air Self-Defence Forces for a Fifth-Gen Multi-role Air superiority fighter. The proposal was, in effect, an updated F22 with features and technology from F35 integrated into the design, though the proposal never passed beyond that stage. My 'challenge' to you is as follows... build the bastard love-child of 'Raptor' and 'Lightning II', I believe it would be a fun video, as it would be the most modern aircraft you have built, and the very nature of being stealth affects the shaping of the aircraft,
Hey, pilot here! For all the people looking for an explanation as to why the P170 took so long to take off, look no further. The P170 falls under the category of Taildraggers (A plane with two front landing gears, and a single small wheel at the back). These planes are relatively more stable during takeoff, and the design is good because these planes are really front-heavy - as you can probably tell by the THREE prop engines in the P170! But due to its weight distribution, Taildraggers take off in a different way than regular planes. Basically, upon acceleration, the rear of the plane lifts up so the tail is no longer touching the ground. If the plane is designed correctly, it happens on its own. If not, then you manually flare by gently pitching the nose down. This way, the plane is traveling on the runway using only the front landing gears. Once you have enough speed (V2), you can begin to rotate, and the lift from the wings prevent the tail from smacking into the ground. If you try the normal method, since the plane is long and front heavy, you're essentially wasting runway (and fuel) to perform the takeoff. Taildraggers are really fun, especially since they are more manoeuvrable on the ground, however you need to be damn good at runway alignment to takeoff in one of these. Cuz once the tail is up, it's very hard to change course (even with rudder).
So far I’ve built something close to an F6F, but it’s a bit slow and not very stable. I’m still trying to figure out how to get the most out of the piston engines.
I wouldn’t have made a stealth jet with canards if I were you, canards provide a lot of radarcrosssection, which is why they are usually avoided in stealth design. The J20 may use them, but they are reportedly placed at an angle meant to avoid this, but it is much disputed how well that works, let alone how well it works in general as a stealth or even overall design.
Man i wish i had seen when you sent that out. Ive made 3 pretty cool planes. 1st one which i desighned with the intention of outturning a f22 and denately sucseeded. The other 2 are models. One being of the meteor nf13 And another being the f84. Maybe if you do it again.
I just started playing last week, great game. Wanted to test out the mesh importing, so I grabbed an STL file of the FA-37 Talon from the movie Stealth, chucked it in to Blender, created 2 obj files, one with wings, one without, the idea being I would need to make the wings and I would used the winged model to copy the shape. Also an addition obj of just the canopy because that shape is really weird. Needless to say, movie plane is shit, it does not fly. HOWEVER, make the wing angle straight instead of angled down, add a rear control surface and suddenly it can actually take off and handle well.
Nord ramjet normally only activate when reaching enought speed with the jet engine, ramjet for the Nord 1500 couldn't work for taking off, landing and acceleration
I haven't thought about pedestrian jets before until you mentioned your jet didn't have any arms. Are there any companies making 1-2 seat supersonic jets for personal use? Not that i could ever buy one. Or even a normal plane for that matter.
Im just wondering, how do you download and use an downloaded aircraft in flyout? And if you didnt know, you can press tab to choose armament and press F to fire the missile.
i mean if you were prioritsing rear aspect stealth (dont ask me why you would ever need that or want that) it would be better or just abandon control surfaces and embrace thrust vectoring

1:15 looks suspiciously like project wingman's non trademarked take on the f-22(its just an f22 with canards)
I would say the 3rd aircraft is heavily inspired by the su30mk, its basically an su30 that has thrust vectoring

Rafale-22:
I don't know if you knew already but the very first jet you show in the video looks exactly like the VX-23 from Project Wingman
So far I’ve built something close to an F6F, but it’s a bit slow and not very stable. I’m still trying to figure out how to get the most out of the piston engines.
Your design looks like it'd stall the engines in a turn with those canards in front of the intakes lol
