Little bit of history here... France made an F-14ish aircraft before the US called the Mirage G. The project was scrapped later on due to budget cuts and some documentation was sold to the US to develop one of the competetors of the F-14, the Vought 507 Vagabond
Okay but the US also made an F-14ish aircraft before the F-14 and the Mirage G called the F-111. In fact the Mirage G project was a response to the US developing this line of craft.
Video 4 of suggesting: A fifth-Gen stealth Air-Superiority fighter, similar to the F22 My challenge to you is... build the love-child of F22 'Raptor' and F35 'Lightning II', similar to Lockheed Martin proposal from 2018 for the Japan Air Self-Defense Forces that was, in effect, an updated F22 with features and technology from F35 integrated into the design.
The brakes on that plane are a bit wonky but let's say it was landing on a carrier the arrestor cables would probably straighten the plane out enought for the brakes to work fine
Cool ideas: A Leman Russ, or Bane Blade? A leopard 2A4 style turret on a Mk V hull? A truck with dual 105ms on its bed? A car with six wheels, a 40m auto cannon, and 15m coax? A semi working GAU-8 Avenger 30m on a modern MBT chassis/hull? An IS heavy hull with quad 35m AA guns? A LOOOOOONG Sherman hull with the basic 75m, the fancy 76m, two 37ms, and one short 105m? A mini Tiger 1 or 2? An AAA platform with the iconic German 88m flak? A super heavy with two turrets with dual 67ms each? An AA truck with four 15m HMGs? A BTR with a 105/120m MBT cannon? A Bradley with TWO 25m chain guns? An M18 Hellcat with a larger turret to house a 122m? A M777 artillery gun mounted to a late T series tank, T-62, 64, 72, 90? A Renault FT-17 M1917 with a 105 mortar? An A7V tractor with a 175m heavy artillery piece? An American Vietnam War gun truck with two 15m auto cannons on either side and one in the back? A better Tiger 1 or 2? A better Panther? A better T-34? A better Sherman? A Panzer 4 with a larger turret to house the 128m? An IS heavy with ERA on its side skirts, a widened turret to house two coax 15m auto cannons, German 128m cannon, ERA on the front of its hull and turret (NOT TOO MUCH!!), three roof mounted prop .50s, that large dish/light seen on early to mid soviet tanks after World War 2, an enlarged engine bay for a more powerful engine to replace the Soviet shit, A bunch of spare tracks, equipment, bags and other things on there, and a little bit of recognition if you decide to use my ideas.
My trick for making engines work better at high altitude and speed is low compression (around 6 to 9) and a very high mach setting (>1 usually). I'm sure this is the wrong way to achieve better performing engines at altitude but it works for me
You needed to put a bigger vertical stabilizer. When it starts going from side to side like it was in a turn, it needs a bigger stabilizer. Or its just the FBW system tweaking. This game seems fun and I would love to try it if I had a pc. Good work on the aircraft though!
As it is now, with the whole configuration as well as the aircraft hitting Mach 2 at a lower altitude than needed, while having a high-altitude thrust issue, the whole aircraft would probably fare pretty well as a low-medium altitude strike aircraft, what with the massive amounts of lift you get from the multiple variable-geometry features on takeoff. It could probably fit a similar role to the F-111 Aardvark. Or more likely, the F-105 Thunderchief, giving the maneuvering difficulties with the current design. I'd definitely recommend increasing the size of the vertical stabilizer, and making the rudder control surface extend the full length of the tail (that means removing the mid-tail trailing edge bulge). I know that doesn't exactly scream Mirage design cues, but it clearly needs the control from it. Or just make it an all-flying vertical tail and keep the design cues.
Hey patchbits, I really love your videos man, they're really great. I was wondering if you could make a little tutorial on the flyout building mechanics some time. Cheers!
Seems that you dont know that pressing TAB and F, selects and fires a missile. Pressing TAB chooses what armament you want! 🙂 Edit: i think its easier than going in the menu to choose and fire. Hope this helps!
@@PatchBits hey thank you for your answer, I'll test it when i get my PC back from the repair shop, by the way the plane you made on this video is very nice!

the vagabond is one of the most beautiful jets i’ve ever seen
There was also the Mirage G
Which the vagabond is inspired off of.

@@Opusss true, people always forget about the stunning aardvark.
Imagine just having a flamethrower on the back of your jet?? Genius!
All fuel storage has a priority slider, the higher the number the sooner it gets drained. So priority 1 gets drained after priority 2 and so on.
Mirage G8 (swing wing) flew 3 years before the F-14.
Also it gave the LTV 507
the priority group of a fuel tank dictates its burn priority, larger number means it burns first
Didn't know that was a setting somehow 😅

Really Patch? It's 12:32 AM here, and you've just delayed my sleep by another 20 minutes!
Who needs sleep anyways.
I've found that using the half fuselage is easier for stuff like landing gear doors and bomb bay doors.
Imagine this game turning into DCS but with your own aircraft 0_0
Oh no
Probably will once multiplayer comes out
Nah

Those air intakes are ingesting all the turbulences from the cannards, I can't stand them, and I bet the engine's compressor can't either
Didn't even think about that
I think making the diameter of the shocks bigger makes them stronger, should help with ur problems.
Could make a small recess in the bottom of the fuselage so the drop tank can be a bit higher of the ground.
hit tab to selecect weapons without the weapons panel btw

Hey Patch, you can increase the strenght of the wheels by largening the diameter of the landing gear

Can we get a stealth jet or a bomber?
Stealth is for femboys
The 1 reply (other than me is very stealthy)
pov: every patchbits build: TODAY I BUILT A FIGHTER THAT DRAINS 60 GALLONS OF FUEL PER SECOND AND HAS 2 GALLONS OF FUEL!
This thing would single handedly triple the suicide rates of maintainers
I just woke up going to check patchbits for a video not expecting one, and he posted a video 8 minutes ago
you should make a 60s jet but with stealth capabilities

Yea i always think that when i watch his videos
Can you do a tutorial on how to get your own decals
He complained about it in a video of a pre-release update i think. So he's probably gotten used to painting it manually.
I'm not sure why but in the thumbnail yhis plane reminds me of the f8 crusader
DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF LORE😂
Putting a rocket motor less than a foot away from a metal tank filled with jet fuel, pointed right at it...
Another furry that likes Flyout????
Instant sub!
Nice video!
Could you make a 20's supersonic reconnaissance like the XB-70??, I'll Subscribe if so

What key did you use to tilt and swing the wings in flight?
tilt is bound to flaps, 7 and 8 for sweep
@@PatchBits Ay, thank you
@@PatchBits Do you have to bind them yourself or is it auto bound to 7 and 8?

Not really lookswise. That is the first thing I thought of when he said the wings would tilt though.
@@meerbee2910 yeah the f8 crusader has a front air intake and different fuselage
Patch try to make a f-35 because its well be cool and I will give you a small huge with some flowers :)
what happened to sprocket naval?
