Many thanks for your tutorial, I think I will give that one a miss. Lol. You make this sort of repair look easy... But I will settle for getting a replacement battery. Thank you again for your time and expertise.
thank you for the video would you know where or have a link to a new BMS for these please? I tried a search for replacement VaxONEPWR Blade 4 CLSV-B4KS BMS but nothing is coming up
I'm curious why did you need to keep the circuit powered while removing the battery? Isn't the circuit supposed to survive when the whole cells are drained?
Because I didn't know if it would turn back on, some BMS systems turn off forever as eeprom gets wiped on power loss, and I didn't want to buy a new one!
Have the same battery with the error lights. Read somewhere that the bms “fails” itself and makes the whole unit unusable. Assuming there no repair for that scenario? Also, advise for using this battery shell wired to a power tool battery?
Yes unfortunately BMS failure seems common on these. I don't believe it will work with a power tool battery as there are TX/RX communication ports on the battery. But theoretically 18v DC to + and - terminals might work!
Hello mate, I have an issue with the same vacuum cleaner however all lights show on battery, which would suggest fully charged also charges when saddled in the charging unit, however doesn’t work when Inserted into hoover no lights at all on hoover and unresponsive. Do you have any ideas or possible troubleshooting methods for this? Thanks for your time.
*Molis* ⚡🤩🤩⚡ I generally would pick P42a over p45b but they're both great as far as I understand it - my knowledge isn't deep. What's your take on the pros/cons between them?
I honestly think they've superceded them now. Here's a great link 👍👍 endless-sphere.com/sphere/threads/bench-test-results-molicel-p45b-50a-4500mah-21700-an-extraordinary-cell.116190/
Hi mate missis has got a bike from Halfords called Assist pedal assist I think it is her battery was ok but just stopped charging all of a sudden just showing two bars and the lead just stays green light when u plug it in
I appreciate your expertise but I'm not going through all this work. Ridiculous, I just bought this POS vacuum and I'm demanding a NEW BATTERY from the company.
Totally agree. If it's in warranty then a new one is needed. Mine is a few years old, a Facebook marketplace find, the battery rebuild cost me more in cells than the vacuum itself did!
@@EbikeRepairs nope that was scary it was almost like you had no clue what you was doing I know you kept saying it wasn’t a paid repair just for your own use but even so if you fix these for a living I’d hope you had better skills than that. Maybe show us how you do a customer repair to redeem yourself 😂👍
Scary?? Its not scary, just haven't opened one before so thinking out loud for the video :) aside from making the nickel strips pretty, there's not really anything you could do differently... Spot welding 5 cells is just spot welding 5 cells bud :) don't over think it

No problem, my pleasure to show you the inside, anyway!
Thought enjoyed watching this, gave me the confidence to try myself. Well done.
Pleased you enjoyed it - thanks!

Sorry unfortunately I don't know. They're not available as far as I know.
If you locate a source, I would appreciate a link. Having trouble finding anything myself

Nice one Freddy!
Darsh* but close xD
@@EbikeRepairs There was an ad about chocolate milk, "drink it Freddy", that I twisted to "nice one Freddy".
I never knew! 😂😂

How would this fix the non charging problem. Surely that's a circuit board issue?
This solves bad cells, not bad circuit board.

Dude p45bs are better in every way! Check out the mooch review, 33% lower IR, so they get way less warm under load! Amazing cells really :)
@@EbikeRepairs Interestin, didn't know Mooch compared them! in eskate/electric mountainboardin, most regard the p42a higher than the p45b.

Sweet!

It says 2.0 on the screen 😂😂 but it must be 0.2 you're right 👍👍
