And it doesn't need to then work on a Carrera bike the cells are fine but their propreitery BMS has failed. I'd happily rebuild just for a decent working pack.

I believe for a 250w Ebike you'd have no more than a 20a bms, usually 15amp.

Don't open it if you don't know what you're doing! There are battery repair shops across the country, it's not worth the danger if you aren't confident/competent. Some people are happy to take the risk or very sure of what they're doing and then I suppose it's ok :)

1mm pure nickel is very thick that will be fine! If you mean 0.1mm I would say double up the layers to make sure

Well, I've had people tell me the same when I use silicone grease! Moly grease too... I figure some grease is better than none, I've yet to see a failure due to grease type.

Moly grease is usually thick and black, better than no grease!

From the early 90s You should have known better you should change the title As 99.9% Of people have the Swytch kits for the front hub. They've had them since the swytch boys came onto the crowdfunding platform market in 2017 The title should read as follows................ Old (Possibly) Swytch rear hub Motor tear down ! As not to confuse people like me that wanna get inside a front Swytch hub motor To resolder the Shredded cable wiring. Even more fascinating it's that you didn't mention It was a SWYTCH at the beginning of the video Unless of course there's a part one somewhere, or show the markings that it was a Swytch hub, you just went straight into tearing down the motor and that quite frankly🤔 tells me a lot🤫 Because unless you can find it, and then send me the link there isn't any swytch front hub tear down videos on youtube That I guess you would have researched before you posted your video coming to the conclusion that I can get myself a few clicks from this video. @@EbikeRepairs ( I think it's a switch motor Were your correct words ) at 1:38 And you said that flippantly, You think ehh !😬 I think you have been Listening to the E-Bike Fairy again......😵‍💫 Swytch came onto the market Because they saw a gap in IT ( Simple front wheel conversion With a 250 watt Front wheel motor With pedal assist Compliant to UK law ) Their motors are made in China, Shipped to the UK, then they Engrave their name on it, The IP is mainly on the Controller & battery Because of the cells and the lightweight, The motor that you were ripping apart looks like an old Generic (but expensive At the time Purchased) Rear cassette motor from China and at least 500 watts Just on the size alone, I could be wrong on that however But that's not the point here, Trust me Swytch would not have touched that with the barge pole, it's outside of the UK law, There market gap is 250 watts Front wheel Hub Motor and simple installation as I have noted. However it should have the swYtch marking on it, Something I would have made clear on the camera, for all to see, Hence You didn't so they couldn't have been a swytch marking On the cassette Try what you did With a Genuine swytch front wheel hub and you'll get my view, like, & Thanks , & probably a lot of other people's too Plus you'll get a tonne of money from the youtube ads won't you' 💰 I cannot say I'll become a member Can't really afford that as I'm busy retrofitting all the pedicabs and rickshaws in central London with Swytch so they are UK Law compliant, ! 😱 And finally beware those swytch front wheel hubs are not cheap, Best to find one that needs fixing first Good luck🤗badge

@@jessegotowork it's gone unfortunately! I'm sure the original manufacturer of the controller is out there somewhere if you can be bothered to find them, this way the customer uses well known and widely available KT controllers which is going to be easier if he ever needs parts or a new screen etc.
