Well I've been researching msi, asus and legion laptops for the past weeks and there are aome great laptops out there. Ive just purchased the 5i pro today for £1564,49 as they habe a 15% flash sale. I nearly bought the scar 15 with i9 and 3070ti card but it was over £1200 more thena the 5i pro. I was going to wait for the legion 7 7th gen series but for thw games i play, and with a next gen console i dont think there would be any benefit on getting a 7 serires 7 gen and i would nut get one i reckon under £2500.. I am happy with the legion 5i pro and its going to fit in happily to my needs and requirements. Thanks for the review and shall update you in due course.
It's all good except their hdmi 2.1 port limited bandwidth. It means 4x pcie lanes for display and 4x lanes for hdmi port . It limits 8bit colours at 120hz and can't output 10bit. No fan control software
I may have missed it but how many hours of battery life were you able to get on power saver mode, half display brightness, for video playback and web browsing?
I am in a confused state, which laptop should I go for between Lenovo Legion 7 Gen 6 (16" AMD) and Lenovo Legion 5i Pro Gen 7 (16" Intel)? Please, I need your candid advice.
Thanks for this excellent review! I am considering buying this laptop with the same specs of yours from the US market in the next black friday, do you think the price will get a bit lower to let's say 1500-1600 US dollars?
@@FPtechtalk I don't know about pricing in the US right now but I just converted the price in Euros that you've provided and it turned out to be ~$1972 which is out of my budget at the moment. Hopefully the price will come down as from what I've seen, the 2021 Legion 5 Pro with Ryzen 5800H and RTX 3070, 16GB RAM & 1TB SSD goes for around ~$1480 which is acceptable!
I live in Dubai .. Can you please provide me the link to buy the same laptop as told in this video.... I wanted to get it shipped at the price of 1800Euros. Lenovo Legion 5i Pro 7th Gen.. with Specs 16GB DDRm Ram, 1TB SSD, RTX 3070Dti Graphics , i7 12Gen Processor
@@FPtechtalk Hi mate, would you recommend the Legion 5i Pro RTX 3070 over a ROG Strix G15 with 6800M? The Strix works out nearly the same if not slightly cheaper
Are you comparing the 2021 or 2022 Lenovo with the 3070ti. I picked the Lenovo 2022 over the g15. If it’s the 2021 model it would prob come down to price before I decided
I think the legion has a nicer screen with the 16:10 aspect ratio. Is the that the 11th or 12th gen i7 as that is a big upgrade as well as the ddr5 ram in the 2022 model. If you know someone with a student email Lenovo ireland student store have the 2022 3070 model on a flash sale for 1575 euro. Prob end after today.
One of the best reviews i have seen in my search for my next laptop well done !!!
thanks for the review bro
Best review ever.🥰
I hope it is priced reasonable here in India.
Good review bro , thank you 😊 🙏
Just bought this, hope I like it when it arrives!
Great laptop. Enjoy it
How is it bro

can you use the TB4 ports for display at 120hz 10bit?
@@StefanUrkel Its possible but I didn't tried myself.
On redit people discussing that is achievable, but loosing gsync function.

I did not test the battery life to that level so would only be a guess

Depends on the price difference and if it’s the same gpu.
Is the battery replaceable when damaged in the future"
Yes, should be no issue replace the battery.
Thanks

There will def be a sale on around then, Lenovo is good for that. How much off I’m not sure. What is the price at the mo?

Last years model if discounted well would also be a great choice. There will not be much gaming difference with the 3070.
@@FPtechtalk I know right.
but I do need the power of that 12th Gen i7.
@@FPtechtalk I mostly want the laptop for Video Editing/ 2D Animation alongside casual gaming.

The laptop cost me 1800. I got it from the Lenovo official site. That was with a student discount. Lenovo have a edu store for students
€1850 is a very good deal, im on their website and it is €2130.99 , even with 10% discount its €1917.99
I got an extra 50 off over the phone. Came to 1850 at the time I bought
