      Man I’m getting so many questions about those 2 specific configurations. I might have to do dedicated videos. Intel works better for data processing but AMD is fine. I would want to go with the 3070 ti though. And the ryzen will get you better battery.

    Lenovo Thinkpad has the best keyboard I've ever used in a laptop. I actually use the nub often. The high quality business look of a Thinkpad translates to their Legion, it seems. The microcenter near me has the AMD version of this Legion 5 Pro Gen 7. 3070TI, 32GB. Should I go for it for $1900? I think I have it down to this laptop and a mobile duex max secondary screen (review that if you have time, it attaches to the back of the laptop with magnets), or the Asus DUO 16 with 3070TI (which is $3500!).

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  2 года назад +1

      One thing I forgot to point out is the travel is shorter than a think pad but the layout is the same as most of them. I’ll check out the duex max at some point. Looks interesting 🤨. Man under $2000 for a legion 5i pro? You sure it’s not the 3070 with the ryzen 5900 or 5800?

      I absolutely will as soon as I can get one. They're both awesome. I mean the legion 7 from last year at least. I absolutely loved it. But the screen on the duo 16 is really just something special once you don't mind the drawbacks of mini LED

  • @Bughy195

    Hi man great review, I was looking into getting the exact same Legion 5i Pro or the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 - Ryzen 9 6900HS - RTX 3080 - 32 GB - 1TB SSD (but this one is 800$ more expensive). I will use the machine mainly for gaming and browsing/coding while I'm travelling, but I couldn't make the choice yet.
    On one hand, 5i Pro has a better screen (more brightness)/better temperatures and performance in gaming, but is bigger/heavier+ bigger charger + not so good trackpad.
    On the other hand G15 has a better battery life/it's slimmer/smaller charger/very nice keyboard layout+trackpad but it gets super warm/hot (so worse thermals), has only 300nits brightnessbut is also 800$ more expenive.
    Which one would you choose? Of course this can be very subjective but I would like to hear another opinon.
    Thank you and keep up the good work!

    • @consumertechwarehouse
      @consumertechwarehouse  2 года назад +3

      Man the moment you said traveling I would steer you towards the g15. I've done lots of traveling with the legion last year and this year, and while it's doable, it makes your backpack really really heavy. With the g15, I would recommend the 3070 or 3070 ti model due to the lower wattage unless you need 32gb of RAM. And if you're concerned about the screen, have you considered the m16?

    • @Bughy195
      @Bughy195 2 года назад

      @@consumertechwarehouse Thanks for the fast reply. I was looking into the m16 but I think it has other flaws (I can't remember them now haha). I know the difference between i5 Pro and G15 on weight section is just 1kg but it's nice to hear someones else experience with this.
      BTW thanks for the G15 graphic card recommendation, I'm just not sure if the G15 is worth 800$ more, if the only difference is 1kg in weight, that's why I'm also stuck in making a decision.

      Also maybe a small note:

      @@consumertechwarehouse thanks for your reply. Does this vary with region too? In my region (Germany) it is mentioned 125w on their website but i am not sure if they have included the dynamic boost or not

      Oh that’s interesting. I know it’s 150 watts tgp with dynamic boost. Maybe the 125 watts listed is the base? I won’t know for use if it’s different by region.

    Hi,
    I'm new in your channel and i really like your contents, keep it up !
    I need a advice for gaming experience,
    For the same price and the same spec in my region,
    I have the choice between:
    Msi ge66 3070ti and Legion 5i Pro 3070ti,
    What is your advice ?
    Thx for helps guys.

      They’re both good laptops but I think the legion might be overall better. Taller 16 inch screen that’s bright, plus you’re getting gsync. On top of that you’re getting better software support from Lenovo. The ge66 has per key rgb if that’s important to you, and depending on the display, 240hz vs 165hz but that’s it that I can think of

      I will go for the L5P for the 16:10 and like do you said for the support software.
      Really thanks you for your advice.
      Have a good day.

    3:25 Can someone confirm if the laptop inside/palm rest/deck is plastic??
    I've seen several reviews where they say it's metal: ruclips.net/video/LH3_XcKjL50/видео.html
    Jarrod also leaves the impression it's an Aluminum and Magnesium chassis ruclips.net/video/xK1HbpUoxyE/видео.html

      Or maybe there are different versions of the laptop for different markets

      Any suggestions for improvement on thumbnails? I put a decent amount of work into them but I don’t think it’s resonating well on RUclips.
