      As soon as you even see a Bugatti in person, I think it's nearly impossible to not see why they cost what they do with your very eyes. They are absolutely jewel-like in every respect. Stunning packaging. Everything is gorgeously finished and thought through. Then you have massive performance combined with an incredible robustness. Yeah I think they're worth what they cost!

      Matt Clark I agree, I work in a shop in downtown San Diego and see 458s, 488s, GT3RS’s, R8s, Huracáns etc... drive past on the daily but 2 cars that really command your attention are the Aventador SV and the Veyron. The Aventadors scream echoing off the skyscrapers is unmatched, and even though I only caught a view of the rear 3 quarters of the Bugatti as it drove past it was absolutely stunning.

  • @sombraarthur
    @sombraarthur 5 лет назад +22

    I have always had a thing against everyone testing those amazing cars, because they have ALWAYS talked about figures and how powerful the car is compared to this or that other car... But they never spoke about how it felt when you are doing some corners, the feel that the steering wheel gives you, how easy it is for the car to show you how it is behaving on all of those weight transfers, the cornering easiness and so forth.
    People judging hyper and supercars by their numbers or a straight line are not paying attention to what a super or a hypercar is all about. Yes, they have numbers, huge numbers to cite, but how they COMMUNICATE and how they share their warnings and the edge of their limits is the main thing that super and hypercar are about. The edge of performance, and how to extract EVERYTHING from it. A super or a hypercar is correctly judged on a twisty back road, where you can test its limits, where you can really feel what the car is trying to tell you.
    Maybe I am too much into racing, and speaking too much from the perspective of a "racing driver"... But I am almost 100% sure that if you don't push it to the edge of its grip, its aero performance, try to improve this corner or that one, you are missing a BIG chunk of what these cars can do.
    Anyway, this is THE most honest and the most deep test of the Chiron. Keep up the great work, mate.

    This is legitimately the best cinematography I have ever seen. Usually I would watch videos in just theater mode on youtube, but I just had to watch the whole thing in fullscreen. It's just that good.

    Reading some of the comments below I feel there is little I can add. Maybe just that the delivery of the pure joy of driving the Chiron on a decent road is perfect. Not too shouty, not over the top but filled to the brim with joy and excitement. I get the feeling this drive is one that Henry will remember forever. Heck I even feel like I'm missing out because I will never drive a Chiron, let alone on a decent road. But I was about as far from a fan of this thing as a carnut could be... Before this video. Now I would love to feel what Henry felt doing this. Top video, beautiful and engaging. Excellent job!! @carfection.

    I wish I had more than 1 like to give. The finesse is mind blowing! For a moment, (plenty, I might add) it becomes more than just a Car Film and more like a collector's item... only always in mint condition. Fantastic!

    The stigma that Bugattis can’t handle nor turn isn’t true anymore. The Chiron would most likely very easily keep up, if not genuinely leave 98% of cars on some good backroads. I’m very much looking forward to what the Divo will be like later today.
    What an amazing video.

    What a film. The feeling and emotion are conveyed very well. Chiron is a really underrated hypercar.
    I've been reading Henry's journalism since EVO days and will continue to watch/read your work. Very rarely i get similar quality work from other journalists. Mr Catchpole, Meaden, and Metcalfe are among the best i've encountered. If the three of you ever have a chance to work together again, please do so and create the most amazing film.

    Sublime. Catchpole delivers a performance perhaps even more engaging than the Chiron its self, enhanced by the stunning cinematography, the subtle yet perfect music score all blend to regret it's only 12 minutes short. A wonderful tribute, and historically fascinating, start with Bugatti's memorial too. Thank you Carfection Team.

    As someone who’s had the pleasure of sitting in one, his words on the fit and finish (and comparing it to a 3* restaurant) we’re particularly on point... the feel of the switches and materials inside the cabin, were hands down the highest quality finishes I’ve ever experienced in a car... A true master stroke of engineering and attention to detail!
