They are but i think its because the market is so saturated with really big names like Motortrend. Road and Track and Car and Driver. Aswell as several others that some people dont feel like looking up for more. I didnt know about Xcar until i saw on DRIVE when they were asking for like 9$ a month to watch their videos someone commented that Xcar was really good and so was DRIVE before that mistake. And since then ive trully enjoyed the content. Sadly they dont seem to get as many press cars as magazines like Motortrend and that means what we get to see is not as vast but they are amazing at what they do. And manufacturers seem to get to know who they are more and more.
I have said it many many many times, this channel deserves more views. Another great video as usual.

Snipereye64 My sentiments exactly. When it came out, I was stunned that it could exist. Then in the 10 years of production we had Koenigseggs and Henessey and then Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren all re-writing the rules of fast. But in truth, the Veyron SS is just on another level. And it always will be.

-Pushed the boundries of engineering
-Astronomical costs
-Oblitorated the fastest production car record
-Noticible gap between 'supercars' thus creating the Hypercar category.

I've never been a "fan" of the Veyrons as in have a poster of one on my wall or as a wallpaper or anything, but I honestly thing it's one of the greatest automotive feats of engineering of our century. Yeah it may now not accelerate as fast as the LaF/P1/918 but it paved the way for their ludicrous speeds and all the effort that wasn't put into the design of this thing went into making an astounding piece of machinery!

+twin turbocharged (feggggg) With enough power, good enough power delivery and electronic control, the weight issue becomes easily rectified.

@B3ansGuy for general knowledge... The ferrari Laferrari has 0 to 62 of 2.9 seconds the p1 does it in 2.79 the 918 does it in 2.8 and the veyron does it in 2.5 seconds

Excellent video. The Veyron is an engineering marvel which opened the door for Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren to build the hypercars we have today. If it wasn't for that I'm not sure those three would be as mental as they are.

The 959 is the first hypercar. It was pushes the technological boundaries of that time period just like the Veyron does with modern times.

Porsche Curves Mmmh not really. On the same level as a 458 Speciale, a Miura, a Z06 (Z07 pack), or an SLR... But not Veyron, P1, LaFerrari, Agera R, Regera, or the McLaren F1 (yeah you read that right: the McLaren F1, fastest NA car ever and we're in 2015 this car is 20 years old. That's the really first hypercar).
These cars changed the game radically, they each have very, very unique and bonkers features. The 959 did but not on the same level.

im so glad that the "pendulum" is finally swinging the other way and people are having respect for the Veyron. Yes, its looks are subjective(I like it) but it truly is an amazing car that has set the bar very high for other cars. Its like the Porshe 959. So many future super/hyper cars will benefit from its feats.
........at last, the Veyron has its day.......congrats Bugatti......whats next?

Aval Sirithanawat SAME! I am die hard Bugatti fan. The F1 isn't as stable on top speed nor does it offer what the Veyron does in terms of handling and refinement. Though i'm a big F1 lvoer as well, i can't go around how good this car is.

Great tribute to masterpiece of automotive engineering. There are cars faster on track, even more powerful and maybe with greater top speed. But no one has achieved what the Veyron achieved in the 2005. As an engineer, I absolutely love this car.
Koenigsegg fan boys always seem to forget that the veyron has these stats and weighs 1500 lbs more than the agera. It's not meant to just be the fastest alone. It's supposed to be the fastest as well as luxurious and good looking. The James Bond hypercar that you can look as good in wearing a suit as you can wearing a sweatsuit
StretchakaKickman Correct!! Allthough i wouldnt name this as Bond car, it has everything and does everything a normal car should do. (except it has no 4 seats and has high mpg, no boot space, but who cares?) It's comfortable, yet it feels extreme if you want to, it corners like a Lotus Elise, despite weighing 1880 kgs. It's stable at top speed as well as any other speed. it's a hypercar AND a grand tourer. It's the best of two worlds.
It's as sharp, extremely quick and snappy as a Lamborhini, yet as refined, classy, and great quality, and reliable as a Bentley. And beautiful as hell.
The gear box is said to even be able to last 30 years!! It's the best car ever made!! Anything that followed was either gay hybrid gismo laptops or other nerdy eco shit. This is the ending of an era. It's a beast and gentleman!
StretchakaKickman luxurious, but not remotely good looking. it's a hypercar shaped like a beetle. and that extra 1500lb makes it handler like a boat compared to a mclaren or ferrari.

probably the best veyron video i've seen to date.
I saw a teal/black one drive past me on sunset blvd last summer and my jaw dropped, head snapped, and I almost swerved into oncoming traffic, trying to catch one more glimpse as it went around the bend. Definitely has road presence, a lot wider than I expected too. Must be something else to get to drive one

David D exactly, couldn't agree more. Xcar should carry this on and turn it into a series. Doing a proper ten minute in depth job on some past and future classics. A change form the norm of drag races and timed laps, I don't want to see that it's old hat. Just a bloke who loves what he's doing belting about in a motor in never likely to see. Future episodes: original zonda, Enzo, any spyker, clio v6, murcielago lp640 etc etc. Make it happen!!!!!
I cannot believe it. People are still trying to compare Paganis, Koenigseggs or even the Venom to the Veyron.
The Veyron combines the speed of 430 kph and the acceleration of 2,5s to 100 kph and 6.7s to 200 kph with the highest luxury interior and the reliability and everyday usability of a VW Golf.
This unique combination of qualities is where the unbelivable amount of engineering and resources went and that's why they used a W16. No other car comes close.
And the new Chiron is right around the corner (465 kph and 2,0s to 100kph).

My favourite car in the world cause when this came out it just blew my mind about the capabilities of a road leagal car. MacLaren f1 and Bugatti veyron 2 cars that changed my perception of cars.

Supersnake 93 Nope. McLaren F1 is actually a supercar. The regular version was known of having braking issue due to the compromise of not using ABS, its handling was handful through the cornering due to its racing input. The reason it got the fame is due to high speed and its racing variant.
Supersnake 93 No you don't. Because nowadays Mclaren's making nerdy hybrid and gismo cars that arent driver orietnated and by looks and act like mere robots. It has no feel to it, it's just boring and overly digitized.
THe F1 was the last real Mclaren.

Don't forget that the tires are actually glued to the wheels. So it costs about 120,000 dollars alone for the tires and wheels.

Yes I have! I always watch all your videos less than 12 hours after they've been uploaded. I was referring to the 2016 redesign of the XF. But then its obvious that the next 5 Series is gonna thrash all these other noobs.

One car I'd love to see next is the Koenigsegg, maybe the One:1? That is supposed to have a higher top speed. Granted these cars differ quiet a lot in the way they are designed and respective target audiences, but that has always been the comparison of the decade IMHO since the Veyron's production.
Also Roy, keep up the good work and the high quality content you guys keep making, loving it.
Koenigsegg might be fast but Bugatti still holds the crown overall. The review ppl give when driving a bugatti shows how good it is, tho its old. Veryon is so old but still beats any hypercar till date.
the veyron is a marvellous car indeed, and it deserves credit for being the first hypercar that not only delivered extreme performance, but also luxury and comfort at the same time.

Now the question is what is next for them
The 959 was the OG hypercar because it defined what a hypercar is before the term existed. that's how 'first' goes -.part intention, part happy(or not) accidents; result is unprecedented. The 959 was like NASA-level project.
I was lucky enough to see one at the New YOrk auto show. Not that I'll ever buy one but I hope next gen model doesn't require such substantial maintenance costs.
As usual, I agree with most of your assessment of yet another mind-boggling car. Yet, I take a small exception to the 'pretender' comment. I can only imagine that you were speaking about the Hennessey Performance team down in TX. While they certainly aren't a works team and have a very limited production run, I think they should still be granted their due respect.

Amazing video ***** I have sat down on a couple of 20th Century Bugatti's in my life time and also a Veyron Vitesse and everything you said was on point. There are faster cars out there as we all know but the Veyron will be the Legend where it made the interior of a high luxury Sedan and be a daily driver, something out of this world. The fastest Super Luxurious car in the world. Bugatti did an amazing job at delivering all of them. Personally my favorite of all the editions will be the Les Légendes De Bugatti Edition. Such a masterpiece piece of art and engineering.

I was a Veryon fan who became a Koenigsegg fan and for some reason, went back to the Veyron. I for some reason, love the looks of this car. I actually like the Veyron’s design better than any Koenigsegg, although Koenigseggs are beautiful too. The Vitesse is my favorite Veyron, and is my favorite car. There are flaws with the Veyron, like the weight and price. But hey, Koenigseggs have flaws too, like the inability to daily drive (except the Regera). I used to hate Bugatti, but they actually became my favorite brand. The Chiron is technically better than the Veyron (and looks better for most people), but I, strangely, like the Veyron more. I feel like the car has so much hate, it’s actually underrated, unlike the stereotype that’s says it’s overrated. This is an excellent video and hopefully more people see it. One last thing, this car, has my favorite sound of any car. Anyway, after praising this car, let the dislikes flow in!
