- Ayrton Senna died 25 years ago today on May 1st 1994. To honour his memory we took the car that bears his name, the McLaren Senna, to Donington Park to recreate arguably his greatest ever single lap from the 1993 European Grand Prix.

This was an absolutely epic video! Congratulations to the Carfection team for paying such a magical tribute to the legend that was Ayrton Senna. The story, the shots, the presentation... actually give me 12 minutes, I need to watch it again.
On such a poignant day, this has to be one of the best videos of recent times to honour an incredible F1 driver and a weapon that is the McLaren Senna; thank you Henry & Carfection.

There's not been a duff film from Henry since he joined Carfection - but this one, this one was simply the best. Absolutely superb story telling, and beautiful cinematography. Wonderful!

As I haven’t been able to drive cars for more than three and a half years now because of an injurie, watching car videos with Henry Catchpole is my substitute. Fantastic video and beautifully done. As a 16 year-old I stood at the Old Hairpin and watched Senna make that move. Still the most incredible thing I’ve seen anyone do with a car. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up as I watched it again.
Here I am gritting my teeth trying to hold back emotion all because you perfectly capture what it means to love a machine through the story of an icon.
Goosebumps mate!! I can even tell you what we had for lunch that day... as my brother dad and I screamed at the tv when he passed Prost he became the stuff of legends and etched into a fantastic family moment in memory... fantastic film!!

The trip from the grocery store to the racetrack it's feel like exactly like Forza Horizon 4 and I love it there's definitely feeling it the country road, the beautiful view it's amazing I love it i wish i have the money to buy a McLaren Senna and just take a drive and do a road trip from England to Germany.

I was at Donington that Sunday with my father, standing in the rain waiting for what seemed like ages for the race to start. Remembering that day again now, it was an absolute privilege to be cold and wet just to witness that first lap. This video brings all those memories flooding back. Thank you Henry.

Incredible as always. It saddens me that I watched the race he died in, it left such a memory that it shadows his greatness, this lap, driving the nuts off an NSX, his crash, the medical helicopter on the racetrack, and his funeral are what I recall most vividly when I think of Ayrton Senna, I wish it were only the first two and not the final three.
