Andy Wallace is a living legend, those who don't know he set the world speed record of 240 mph (380+kph) at the time in McLaren F1, a car so fantastically unstable at those speeds that no one basically dared to try it again.
YES more of these episodes please! The Chiron is the type of car you drive a ton and then park it in your living room just to look at it until the next drive. Amazing sculpture and engineering.
This is a really wonderful video. I like the total lack of of obnoxious youtube culture. Its a genuine, casual, interesting conversation in a beautiful place about a fascinating subject. This is how to "youtube". Thanks guys keep up the great work.
YES! More of these "in depth" technical informations that really help us understand the challenge of building such vehicle. I feel like we don't appriciate the engineering enough because of the constant numbers (HP mainly) race amongst manufacturers.
Wow that was an incredible 17 minutes!... We ned more of these more geeky videos where u go really in depth into a cars development and engineering! It so interesting!
I could listen to these two talk about that car for hours. You learn so much more in these in depth videos than just a normal review or a "car youtubers" video. It really puts it in to perspective the engineering and the R&D that has gone into the Chiron that doesn't necessarily go into it's rivals.
This is just amazing. Thanks Henry, Andy and everyone that was involved in the making. It's unbelievable how much work is needed to make something like this, we need more videos like this one. Congratulations
I still fail to understand how this channel doesn't have over a million subscribers yet. With brilliant content of this caliber, this is easily one of the best automotive channels on RUclips.
Very informative , with Andy there to really make the point of how much engineering design has gone into this car, very enjoyable well filmed and interesting , nuff said 😎
Finally a Bugatti video on RUclips that isn't just "wow it's fast" and "damn it's expensive". This was great, would be good to see similar at other supercar companies.
Henry. I have to say congratulations; that's one of the best car videos I've seen in a long time. I'm not mechically-minded but the way Andy Wallace explained the engineering was magic. Thank you and please do lots more with the other gurus like Walter Röhl.
I'm struggling to think how this film could have been any better, other than more of it! So nice to hear a knowledgeable, talented person talking eloquently about a car without a whiff of 'look at me'. Superb.
O M G!!! It is the first time I get to see the engine in flesh and so close!!! Wow this is ginormous! I love it, the 4 turbos looks so awesome, the housing of the valves, omg!!! It's so unreal, can't believe that engine can fit in a car. WOW! I'm mind blown!
Yes. This is the ultimate geeky, nerdy, in depth review about the extra parts of the car no one ever talks about. Yet is made incredibly interesting and discussion topics between two genuine enthusiasts. Always been a fan of Henry & Andy - both very good with words and able to articulate in such an elegant manner in pure English. No waffle, puns, phrases or jargon simply pure English.
you guys have just hit the sweet spot with this new direction, I am really enjoying this and the one with Henry driving the manual GT3.its always a delight to watch Henry in these videos.
you just fall in love with this guy theoritical explanation of mechanics. He is an absolute genius. A true lover of car.. The man understands engine like Zidane understands soccer... wow! I indeed listen more than ten times..
This was an absolute class video! Loved all the insights on this beautiful car and getting a behind the scenes look of the engineering. Easy to see why it’s such a beast on the road and track!
Beautifully and simply presented, engaging and enlightening. Henry Catchpole has the same easy, relaxed manor and encyclopedic knowledge explaining the automotive galaxy as Carl Sagan had explaining the inner-workings of the cosmos.
Greetings from Colorado! One of the best car videos of the vast number I've seen. But what I noticed was, though I've watched about a dozen vlogs about the Chiron, the best featuring the extraordinary Andy Wallace and his extraordinarily broad knowledge of the car, yours was-by far-the most comprehensive and informative. And none previously went nearly so far behind the.. facade. The Memorial, the back buildings, Andy's...thrilling revelations about the engine and its functions and relationship to the rest of the car. 1,000 litres of air at speed? Knew that. The various aspects of the massive centrifugal forces? I was aware but lacking understanding. But the patient explanations about the huge evolution of the mechanicals and air management challenges from the Veyron to the Chiron? Unprecedented. Thank you.
This is so cool, legendary showing off this tech, and of course the Lego version with Mr Wallace behind the wheel. So great that you can share this with the world Henry.
Andy Wallace is a champ of a person; my God does he knows his stuff! Great video once again Henry; you are now number one on my list of car related content.
Stunning video, you could have made this 2 hours long and I still would have been captivated. It’s a car I will never get a ride in and that adds to the fascination. Even the geek parts like the weight of the valve caps.....Brilliant work as always and my favourite channel on RUclips
The heart of this car! 'I feel it is an understatement calling it a car! ' is just wonderful! This marvel will be celebrated a century from now and people then, will appreciate the engineering gone into making this wonderful and beautiful beast!
Always wondered why people say tires limit the top speed on some of these hyper cars. Thank you for explaining how the g forces increase weight of tire stem cap, sensors, etc. Finally makes sense. Great content!
Could honestly listen to that guy talk all day, the stuff I learned in such a short amount of time and it didn't even feel like a school lesson, beautiful :)
I'd love to be there as well, talking to Andy about the Chiron. The amount of thought and engineering that goes into making a car like that, it's just insane.
these video was such a joy. It's really nice to hear someone who really knows what they are talking about, about the car they made as Andy Wallace (what an icon). Keep it going Henry i love your videos
It’s relaxing watching this on a April sunny Sunday morning. Refreshing casual lecture style info delivered by two suave gentlemen . Just wish it was longer. Thank you
Absolutely amazing video. Perhaps the best presented car technology video I have ever seen by way of artistic beauty. The car, the setting and the presenters, Henry and Andy, just pure artistry. The reverence and passion you both have for your chosen love of automotive technology shines through in the tone of the video. Please accept my highest accolades.
This was a car geeks dream video. Loved the look at the engine and all the discussion about the technical aspects. Chiron's are a work of art as was this video. Thank you Carfection.
Just eating this all up. Love the geektech of the most masterfully created quality automobile from the vw camp. No expenses spared. Makes me love the brand even more. Thanks!
Loved this - such a great additional video to a normal car review. Would love to hear people like Andy Wallace (or Chris Goodwin at Mclaren) talk about developing these amazing vehicles and what goes into making them so approachable for non-racing people :)
This was the most enjoyable youtube experience i have had for as long as i can remember, and i like most, watch way too much youtube. So very well done.
This car is even more beautiful knowing how every piece of it was designed with maximum purpose of speed and efficiency. Gorgeous, meticulous design and engineering.
Wow. I'm trying to think of other words, but.. wow. Amazing. His statement of "this is why you don't build a fast car in your garage" is nail on the head!
I love this kind of video, where a very knowledgeable person describes aspects of engineering which are invisible in real life (such as the weight of the tire valve caps). A truly beautiful machine. I am not going to comment about its rivals because, well I haven't driven any of these nor will I ever but I would definitely like to. Thanks for the video! Keep up the great work.
I get so excited every time I see Mr Wallace, he knows theChiron like the palm of his hand. Remember when with Shmee, when with Mr Jww and many car TV Shows.
Andy Wallace is a living legend, those who don't know he set the world speed record of 240 mph (380+kph) at the time in McLaren F1, a car so fantastically unstable at those speeds that no one basically dared to try it again.
And made a 304.77 mph run (490.5 kmph) on chiron ss
What about the XJ 220 The first supercar Set the fastest time in that car, he is a legend what a man what a job to have.
I was lucky enough to meet him yesterday at Goodwood FOS and had a little chat , really nice chap and it made my ...year!!
Wow the comments are 5 years old, time is so crazy.
Your videos are the Bugatti's of automotive films.
This, always this. I'm not even a huge car person, i just love this channel and its quality.
Seems you don't know Petrolicious. A new world opens before you.
YES more of these episodes please!
The Chiron is the type of car you drive a ton and then park it in your living room just to look at it until the next drive. Amazing sculpture and engineering.
Leval The First Exactly! ;-)
It IS, A Beautiful Piece of Sculpture And Machine that Excites Every Emotion In Your Body!!!
This is a really wonderful video. I like the total lack of of obnoxious youtube culture. Its a genuine, casual, interesting conversation in a beautiful place about a fascinating subject. This is how to "youtube".
Thanks guys keep up the great work.
This was produced beautifully. More of this please!
YES! More of these "in depth" technical informations that really help us understand the challenge of building such vehicle. I feel like we don't appriciate the engineering enough because of the constant numbers (HP mainly) race amongst manufacturers.
That is truly astonishing engineering. Also fantastic video work as always
Ismail Emre Akcan Really truly astonishing. Oh, and the car’s great too!
best design ever. top 3 designers in the world, bugatti, apple and lumiy
u gotta give the best car design to Pagani ..
@@jennamalena8349 apple doesn't belong there , u should say Samsung
Why is this video only 16 minutes? I could watch these two discuss this car an hour and 16 minutes!
Bravo guys.
I know. Those 16 minutes flew by.
there are 16 cylinders on the car...
Wow that was an incredible 17 minutes!... We ned more of these more geeky videos where u go really in depth into a cars development and engineering! It so interesting!

Best part for me.
02:18 to 07:18
Pure joy to listen every little detail.
This channel is criminnaly underrated.
"this is why you don't build a fast car in your garage at home"
-many ppl triggered
any_given_grind I will build a lawn mower to beat Chiron speed record
Nice one, i subscribed and am awaiting the build videos
Aka hennessey...
A jolly good Humiliation to a crappy kit car from somewhere in the Northern part of Europe called Kockni..something
Pagani
This is just amazing. Thanks Henry, Andy and everyone that was involved in the making.

Excellent video. I absolutely love the Chiron, I was cold on the Veyron but the Chiron looks absolutely amazing.
not from the rear
Soulja Boyyy I agree the rear looks awful. For the money it costs, you'd expect every angle to look perfect.
some people love expensive VWshit made in Germany! Type 35 vs Hitlpercar
Bbush Bbush guess what else is Volkswagen, lamborghini, now shut up because the centanario looks better than ur crappy car
I believe the sheer amount of like you got for this comment reflect just how well the chiron is comparing to its predecessor
Henry and team, please produce more of this content! Absolutely love the detail and how beautifully it was shot! You have rocked it!
We need more "Engineering" videos like this from you and the Carfection team, Henry. Absolutely crisp. Andy Wallace is a great speaker on camera.
Finally a Bugatti video on RUclips that isn't just "wow it's fast" and "damn it's expensive". This was great, would be good to see similar at other supercar companies.
What an honor to be next to Andy Wallace. Such a great and humble driver
Where does the time go when I'm watching these great videos! Andy and Henry are a great match, and a bit of banter is always good.
One of the best videos on the Chiron so far, and I've watched loads of them by now.
Henry. I have to say congratulations; that's one of the best car videos I've seen in a long time. I'm not mechically-minded but the way Andy Wallace explained the engineering was magic. Thank you and please do lots more with the other gurus like Walter Röhl.

Could listen to Andy, talk about the engineering aspects for hours. Great episode and love the little quip at the end.
you just fall in love with this guy theoritical explanation of mechanics. He is an absolute genius. A true lover of car.. The man understands engine like Zidane understands soccer... wow! I indeed listen more than ten times..
What a video! Amazing insight from Andy Wallace. I could watch this over and over again.
This was an absolute class video! Loved all the insights on this beautiful car and getting a behind the scenes look of the engineering. Easy to see why it’s such a beast on the road and track!

Looooooool that Hennessey roast wen he's showing the tire pressure cap... Priceless 😂
bullseye !

I think Chiron just might be the most amazing and beautiful car EVER
Stunning video, you could have made this 2 hours long and I still would have been captivated. It’s a car I will never get a ride in and that adds to the fascination. Even the geek parts like the weight of the valve caps.....Brilliant work as always and my favourite channel on RUclips
Andy Wallace is such a nice man. Very pleasant and so enthusiastic to explain the finer details.
One of the best car videos I've seen in ages and it's not like the competition is lacking either! Thanks HC!
Awesome video! Andy is such a cool guy and explains everything really well.
As a vehicle engineer, that's the kind of video I would actually pay to watch. Great content guys.
Thank you Henry, and Andy for presenting this detail to all of us. More factory visits would be a nice treat.
This video was brilliant. You could do this with almost any car. With the right questions and the right guests you’ve got an epic series :)
Could honestly listen to that guy talk all day, the stuff I learned in such a short amount of time and it didn't even feel like a school lesson, beautiful :)
DAMN I could watch a video from that guy talking about the engineering of a car for a couple of hours straight! Very nice job, congrats!
Saw that exact Chiron driven by Andy in Lisbon. The best car I have ever seen. It has such a presence!
I'd love to be there as well, talking to Andy about the Chiron. The amount of thought and engineering that goes into making a car like that, it's just insane.
Could listen to Andy Wallace all day. Great video.
Really enjoyed that. The attention to detail is unbelievable and another great video from Henry and the team
I truly enjoyed watching this and the Chiron driving experience video. The production is absolutely awesome...well done!
This video is the stuff of my dreams! Thank you, Carfection!!
these video was such a joy. It's really nice to hear someone who really knows what they are talking about, about the car they made as Andy Wallace (what an icon). Keep it going Henry i love your videos
Incredible engineering ... there are some truly smart people on this planet ... the ingenuity is crazy.
It’s relaxing watching this on a April sunny Sunday morning. Refreshing casual lecture style info delivered by two suave gentlemen . Just wish it was longer. Thank you
What a wealth of information! I'm stunned at the level of engineering that goes into building a Chiron, WOW!
Awesome video. And the size of that engine is enormous but they cleverly fitted it into the back without anyone realising how big the engine size is.
A magnificent production . Congratulations to everyone responsible. A fascinating and informative piece which was a pleasure to watch.
In consideration of all it's refinements, it's a car which really takes automobile engineering to a profound level.
Thanks!
this is so relaxing
I love videos like this that are calm and relaxed and focused on the details.
This is the best video on Chiron to date. Thank you.
That engine is ENORMOUS !!, fantastical, outrageous and beautiful. It will be sorely missed when all cars are silent and electrical.
That's the reason cars like the Chiron are made. To push the boundaries of what's possible in an ICE before it all fades to black.
I like the direction you guys are taking. Your just getting better, I totally love it
Loved this - such a great additional video to a normal car review.
Would love to hear people like Andy Wallace (or Chris Goodwin at Mclaren) talk about developing these amazing vehicles and what goes into making them so approachable for non-racing people :)
This is what I call perfection and I *LOVE* it!
this is first class production and takes this category of video to a new level. thanks guys for making a great product
Wow, Super video! Andy's insight and comments are fantastic!
Both of their voices are soothing and matches perfectly with this classy video 👌😍
So perfect video. Nice moment with Mr Wallace, and so much explaination of what is a 4OO + km/h car.
A great thanks guys.

Amazing stuff, I loved every second of this!
I get so excited every time I see Mr Wallace, he knows theChiron like the palm of his hand. Remember when with Shmee, when with Mr Jww and many car TV Shows.
Just to drive it once. A true masterpiece of engineering, and a true masterpiece of video.
You are one of the best car reviewers around right now. No doubt..!
Andys knowledge is awesome. Thanks Andy
WOW...that carbon engine mount...a perfect piece of engineering and art combined together!
Andy Wallace, top man and a decent chap. Just shows how incredible the F1 was and is after 20 years!
This channel is so incredible... Thanks for all of your videos!
I watched every single second of this video, waiting on every single word from Andy. You're both legends. Ps. Keep up the riding!
Wow, having Andy Wallace on the video is simply Mega. Henry/Carfection awesome as always
Outstanding video, congrats to Andy Wallace for the explanations and details.
That post credit blooper had me in stitches! Andy Wallace is a funny guy!
Great item, camera work AND Mr Wallace brilliant
Honestly, nobody does videos like Carfection. What a treat.
Could have watched another 20 minutes listening to Andy talking about Bugatti and the Chiron. More of that please!
Truly Superb. The only thing wrong with this film is that it isn't 3 times longer. Love your content Henry.
I could have watched another hour. Excellent stuff! What a machine.
This is a truly fantastic video for an absolutely crazy awesome machine. Thanks, carfection!
Beautiful! Midway through the video I realised how good this video is. Really well done.
