    This was very informative. I started shaving with a brush and shave soap etc last year and all I have is a basic Van Der Haggen starter kit I got from Wal-Mart. But I'm wanting to upgrade from there and this gave me a lot of information.

    Awesome video. Your channel is very informative. I bought a badger brush a couple of years back and I hated it. I know now to buy one with a strong backbone.

    I have a woodturning channel and was planning a video on turning a shaving brush handle. You covered a lot of great info that is is not intuitively obvious to the casual observer, as they say. Thanks for sharing.

      I'm getting into wood turning. I'll definitely take a look at your channel!

      Had a little trouble with "boar." Huh? It would have been awesome to see an un-dyed boar brush in there. Otherwise, good, informative video!

    I own a silver badger brush but can't get as good lather as with my other cheap brush (I think it is horse, much less backbone). Am I doing something wrong?

    • @TheCleanShaver
      @TheCleanShaver  7 лет назад +1

      Every brush behaves differently. It takes time to learn how they work individually. Give it time.

    Hi I'm trying to find a plastic shave bowl any ideas?

      You could just use a simple salsa bowl from the dollar store.

    Do you have trouble loading up with a synthetic brush on softer soaps like Catie's Bubbles?

    • @TheCleanShaver
      @TheCleanShaver  9 лет назад +1

      LILPAPASMURF97 Sometimes. Although, generally, if I'm trying to load a brush with a softer soap, I just don't use much water in the brush. Keeps the bristles stiffer.

      That's a Scott Pavkovich custom 2-band badger. Great brush. It was a loaner from my brother, who currently owns it.

    You kind of didn't go into the actual performance of synthetic brushes. Just how soft they are and how good for traveling they are.
