To be honest, because mints and bottle caps are so relatively inexpensive compared to past games, I think this is the first generation where I don't feel compelled to breed at all. Before, they had you grind the battle tower and other stuff, but now you just need about 100k of gold to get these things done for any Pokemon, and that's pretty easy to farm in this game doing a number of activities rather than just 1 specific activity. EV training is also pretty easy to do in this game manually due to no random battles. I am surprised how much faster it is to get a competitive pokemon in this game outside of 0 speed iv pokemon.

Dont forget egg moves though
I switched to Bottle caps from SwSh. It was so easy to end up with 4 - 5iv pokemon from stamps, causing me to only need to use 1 - 2 caps. On occasion I had to use 6 (didnt have gold) and it still wasn't that bad. Especially since egg moves were obtainable waaaaaaay easier
You don't have to change date to reset raids and outbreaks. It messes up your save files and can lock you out of events. Simply go to the date and click on OK. Go back to game and it will reset. Sometimes it takes two tries but it's much safer way to reset.
To add a little more detail for those who want to try this, you still need to turn the automatic time synchronization off and enter the screen where you would change the date, but instead of changing the date, just hit OK. It does indeed take 2 tries much of the time. Oddly though, it does not reset the auctions like an actual date change would, but works fantastic for resetting the raids.
Edit: It's easiest to tell if it worked if done while standing by the 6 star raid crystal, because it will vanish when it works. This also appears to reset all the active massive outbreaks that are going on around Paldea.
Define mess up your file? I remember doing it ONCE for maybe an hour or so straight to get eevee but later chose against it as I just don't like date skipping as a whole but I'd still like the information, I did save after the skipping but since then I've agreed with myself that never again will I do that

You have all the reasons in the the world to use this trick, and leave your Switch de-synced (unless you play a game like Animal Crossing that also tracks date and time). Whenever a raid comes up, like the Iron Leaves/Walking Wake one we just had, you should be going to PokePortal News. And doing things that way means that you’ll never miss out on your catch because you’re not ready, just make sure you sync PokePortal News before realtime on the raid runs out. You can also farm raids with good drops to make money, like the Christmas Delibird one. Best source of tera shards of all types we’ll ever get…

I started seeing a few Japanese people use lvl 1 pokemon (as host) and legit just 1 shot and cheese the ditto raids, it's pretty epic got a few 5-6 IV dittos that way
I love how easy it’s been to get good ditto for yourself the past couple of gens! It’s nice to have the comfort of seeing that they’re legit yourself rather than having to trade and wonder 😂 I used this exact method on Monday and got mine, another great guide man! Keep it up 👏🏾
The host in the ditto raid doesn't have to do nothing with their ditto because you can also use transform on one of the pokemon and attack too because once the raid ditto has transformed it can't transform again
as soon as i found a 6 star ditto the other day i just used my level 20 ditto lol. i was testing it and it was so funny. no attacks
Uhh... no, sorry. You can't transform into a teammate's pokemon.

Battle a 6 star ditto raid as a ditto when you’re the host, you can transform into one of your teammate’s Pokémon and Tera ditto still can’t attack
What I did when I got my 6 star ditto was going in as a magikarp and only have the move splash equipped. It was glorious

Congrats on 100k I’m a bit confused on the rates that were shown for shiny rates. Without masuda method shiny charm only gets 1 extra roll but if you are doing masuda method and shiny charm, the shiny charm actually gives 2 extra rolls?

Does using a mint not affect nature for breeding? I see the new nature on the mon but in the description it still says the old one
Correct, it does not. It only changes the stats, not the pokemons actual nature, so the original nature will be passed down.
I got a quick question if I do make a secondary account just to do this and we’re going to need a switch subscription in order to do trades and play with other players, I only have one account and I have like a month left on my subscription, so I don’t know if this game requires the monthly subscription service or not?
It does. The game won't let you connect to the internet unless you have linked a Nintendo account with an active subscription.
I guess you can still trade locally, but that requires you to have another switch with you.
The host exploit that you explained for this can be used with picnics to give everyone else in the lobby boosted shiny odds and the host doesn't lose materials

The date changing thing how does it work let’s say it’s 1st December today if I want to reset for ditto do I keep adding 1 to the date or can I go like 1st 2nd 1st December like that?
Great discord. Me and 3 other guys went on a 6 hour raid and caught over a hundred 6IV, foreign dittos. We gave away the vast majority to other members of the discord server and then 4 other guys who had been raiding around the same time joined up and gave theirs away. We probably put about 150 foreign, 6IV Dittos into the community over the last 6 hours.

How do you unlock 5 stars? The highest I've seen is 3

I got really lucky with the first 5 eggs i bred from a 3iv ditto and a 5 iv armarouge and got a 6iv charcadet im gonna turn into ceruledge, i doubt i'll get this luck again, so thanks for the video!
As much as I love breeding in Pokémon, hatched Pokémon don't come with exclusive marks where those caught in the wild do.
It can be a tough decission to make.
But for the starter Pokémon this might not be a bad idea. They can't be caught anyway.

Do raid pokemons have 100% catch rate after defeating them? I only want to know the ones for 5-star raids and up.

There's a way that you can solo 6* ditto raids or even contribute more in 6* coop raids.
Get a heracross, teach it swords dance, leer, and false swipe. If you're soloing I would also recommend getting it to level 100, I successfully cleared a 6* ditto raid solo with 1 that wasn't ev trained and didn't have good IVs but you could also ev train it if you like or are having issues of any kind. Don't forget that if it has a 4th move that deals any kind of damage you'll have to "forget" it.
This way you can get the raid ditto down to 1 HP and you just need the AI partners to do 1 damage to it. If for some reason they are struggling to do that you can just spam leer until they're able to. The ai partners will die and get statused some how but you will never die so you won't lose any time on your countdown
I learned my lesson too. I took my level 100 garchomp with hyper train and ev train with sword dance. Didn’t work out to good for me. After that I took a lever 25 dito
If the host is ditto The host can transform into their teammates pokemon, and ditto with still be Stuck in the transform loop as usual even if your ditto is posing as another pokemon, it's broken

For those playing solo: you could also use a Flash Fire Ceruledge with no Ghost moves. It could have at least Brick Break, Swords Dance, and Bitter Blade. My pt is that you should not have moves that you're weak to. The Ditto might copy you but it can't hurt you.
But if it can't hurt you... you also can't hurt it.
@@ShadeAlder That will still depend on the tera type that Ditto will have. If it has a tera type in which your moves can damage it severely, then you're in a good spot. Just spam 2 Swords Dance and proceed to wipe the floor with it.
low level magicarp still works better, even solo. your ai team mates will still mop the crap out of that carp

to make the foreign account do you need to make a new user or just select the differnet language at menu?

I got into the raids from his discord yesterday and it worked right after you get your terra orb! Now I’m going to delete this save file since I already traded away the spanish dittos and do my english play through.

No just rebattle all the gym leaders and do the tournament that Nemona do, once you finish the tournament do some 3 4 and 5 star raids until a teacher calls you about the 6 star raids

Nope. Just pick a different language when you start the game on your 2nd profile.

They are black and have a swirly border around them. 5 star you have to check.
My ditto has a ENG foreign tag. I play my game in English. Does this still count as foreign because it has the tag, or do I need a ditto foreign tag that is in a different language than what I am playing the game in?
Has to be different than English tag for you to do Masuda
The chart is wrong @ 1:38 you get an extra roll with the masuda method in Gen 9 and there is a glitch with the shiny charm so just masuda method ditto is 512 odds
Been trying for hours to reroll, but no luck. Also been trying to trade the one 6IV Eng ditto I have for a 6IV foreign one and no luck too even in the discord :( Did host a few 5iv raids for some people though, glad they got good dittos.

Weird question, so if I am doing the strategy of skipping days ahead and then I find a 6 star ditto, if I connect to the internet, will it reset the raids? It happened to me once where I found the ditto, connected to internet then it disappeared. Do I just connect to the internet through the raid so ditto does not disappear? Can anyone help?

One Pokemon from a different trainer and a different language. Breed it with your own Pokemon or other trainers that are the same language as your game/not the same language as the Pokemon you want to breed with.
Ex: Ditto(Spanish) with Fuecoco(English) will work.
Ditto(Spanish) with Quaxly(Korean) will work.
Ditto(Spanish) with Sprigatito(Spanish) won't work.
