- You might be doing Mass Outbreaks WRONG (Do this instead). In this video, you will go to the Pokemon Location and reset the date until you get the mass outbreak spawn. This New mass outbreak method will get you Shiny Pokemon of your choice. You are probably doing the MASS OUTBREAK wrong the entire time. You can CHOOSE which pokemon you want to hunt via this trick. Through this Trick I was able to spawn rare Lucario mass outbreak and got a Rare lucario shiny in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I was also able to get Shiny Sylveon using this Rare Mass outbreak method in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Some other rare mass outbreaks I did in this video were to show you guys how to get Gardevoir in pokemon scarlet and violet. Also I showed example of how to get zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet an Violet with this Rare mass outbreak by doing Date skip.

When you have the shiny or rare Pokémon you want in front of you, you can even change the date back to to the normal date.
Why would you do that?
@@kl6782 so it can register on a legal date for people who are sacred lol
@@PhillyBeatzU Good lord lol, I wouldn’t never have thought about it being a problem. I mean, it’s feasible some people will have their Switch clock wrong, I can’t imagine it would matter or be punishable in any way. It’s good you pointed it out thought for folks to have the option. Great video as always.
Edit: I just realised you wrote sacred not scared 🤣
@@PhillyBeatzU im not necessarily scared but i must admit its very weird having a shiny forretress (specific pokemon because its my only shiny from the future) from like 5 days into the future so i just prefer to synchronize time once i find the outbreak and hunt it from there
That's quite the Rollercoaster
I was hunting a shiny Impidimp and accidentally ran into a non-shiny Morgrem, which turned out to be a shiny Zorua. I'm still not over the shock.
WOW! Lmao the RNG!
Cool. Thanks for confirming that a shiny zorua can look like a non-shiny. I've been wondering if it would appear as the shiny version of the pokemon it disguises as or not.
@@ThePhenomenalEX both zorua and ditto appear as normal sprite pokémons if they're shiny, but your Pokemon won't att it
Pokemon be doing Spiderman things.
THIS IS CRAZY
Big tip incase some people don’t know: if you focus on the Pokémon, it will tell you what Pokémon it is. No matter the disguise it puts up, it will say the real Pokémon name like ditto or zoroua or zoroark.
Really wish this was explained in game. Spent forever trying to get a Cetoddle outbreak but eventually noticed the same thing, so I had to change locations 😅
I think this is more of how they managed to code mass outbreaks rather than a feature
Thank you. I normally dont do time skips but the idea that I should be in the area where my target shiny is located before my clock hits 12mn is a welcome info. :)
Been using this picnic method since day 1 because of you and have found 3 from outbreak so far 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Have you been date skipping? Well stop it, here's what you're gonna wanna do, first, go to system settings, and perform a date skip 🤣
Its date skipping yeah but in the right location.
@@ariathetaega3341 old news
@@mr_fuji_mintsmr_fuji_mints9873 new to me
Saw a video the other day that was titled "How to get both games exclusives without owning both games" and the first thing they said was "all you need to do this trick is have a friend with the opposite game as you" needless to say I closed the video immediately 😂😭
@@resurectors This news was already confirmed over two weeks ago though xD
If you save and close the game before you date skip then you can keep closing and reopening the game to get your outbreak. It’s a little slower, but it doesn’t change the date each time if you want it to be your birthday to try for the Destiny Mark.
Does it work for hatched eggs too or are marks wild catches only?
@@juliuskingsley4400 Most marks can only be found on wild Pokémon. There are some marks like the Gormand Mark and the Partner Mark can be gotten by all Pokémon when they fulfill the conditions, similar to ribbons, but there isn't a way to give a mark to a Pokémon through breeding.
@@Kraiglyndor tysm I’ve been trying to find an answer to this for so long
I've been doing this, and it actually feels faster than continually changing the date forward (plus the bonus of being able to stay on a specific day). Not sure if it actually is, but closing and reopening does feel faster than going in and out of the date and time menu constantly
@@CaseyLabAnimations I don't know if it's faster or not but changing the system date always feels like you're risking janking up your game so this is a much safer way to do it.
Thank you so much! I've never subbed so fast before!
Thank you for this wonderful guide! I know I'm 11 days late from upload, but, if anyone was Interested, you can do a REVERSE time skip instead!
I did this on accident while hunting Cacnea, but if you turn the system clock BACK by 1 hour then the outbreaks change! So instead of date skipping 1 day at a time, you can reverse it and get 20+ new outbreaks in a single system day. I got a Florges, Noivern and 5 Noibats doing this :)
what i love about philly is that he really gives credit where credit is due. it’s what made me sub and joined his discord
Regarding Umbreon, I believe it shows as being in the Alfornada area, but it's actually the cave beneath it. (Irrelevant for the purposes of being in the right area to trigger this, I suppose, but still).
Nice content. Love your videos.
3:02 I'm glad I'm not the only one who pulls up the camera and takes snaps of the gathered pokemon that you love. A herd of ampharos and Flaffy spawned and I had to take pics as its my fave pokemon line
Wow. This super smart. Can't believe I didn't think of this 😂 Thanks again Philly
This is game changer. Glad I found this right after I got my shiny charm ✨️
Fun fact, you can set it to be 11:59pm of tbe previous day and when it rolls over outbreaks will refresh to different ones even if its the sams day (Ex change it to the 2nd when it rolls over to 3ed, new outbreaks.) Only really helpful for people who care about the date their mons are caught on.
Could you imagine if all those Lucario's were aggressive and starts beating your trainer up
Thanks alot for the help my dude. Just got my shiny Fidough using ur tips.
I got lucky seeing a Sylveon outbreak pop up in my world yesterday without day-resetting for anything at the time, even managed to get 3 shinies out of it! Now I know I can hunt for the rest of the Eeveelutions doing this, so thanks!
After you get the first shiny can you still do the picnic reset to get more shinies?
@@KrowTheSavage yup still keeps resetting the Pokémon so you can stay til you feel like stopping lol
I’ve found two shiny Pokémon , both being cetoddle, their evolved form looks so cool
I got my shiny Zoroark by just going to his spawn location popping a dark sandwich and encounter every single one till it was shiny only took me around 2 and a half hours (5 sandwich resets) so gassed cause he’s my #1 of all time also you can’t see the disguised Pokémon as shiny until you encounter it 🙏🏻
Niceeeee
Will it still auto battle even with it not shiny in the open world?
Auto Battling will Not kill shiny zoroark, so If a nonnshiny gets ignored, its likely a shiny zerork
Gave a like because you mentioned the source of where you got the info! More RUclipsrs need to do this. We'll done!
I found this out from him im glad ur giving it attention cuz this definitely works
I did this method to hunt a Charcadet, and was still having poor luck at finding it. So, I used a Encounter Fire sandwich, and it appeared as a mass outbreak instantly. I think that in the same way your area affects mass outbreak spawns, your current encounter rate will also do so. This needs more testing, but I think I'm right. Test this and spread the word if I'm right.
they need to let us put some kind of marker while looking at the orange mark area!
@@jmaster2930 Map markers WOULD be life changing.
exactly
Gonna try testing this out Tony! Thanks for the lead!
@@PhillyBeatzU No worries. I'm not a tuber, but I support the cause where I can lol. Oh also, the free sandwich trick in multiplayer may be usable to get these to spawn for free if the person who joins uses herbs and the host changes day. Haven't tried it yet.
Cool! Thanks for sharing. Now I can try to find a shiny Espeon
Thanks for the warning about Gardevoir vanishing during the night. Was actually doing that hunt while watching this. I'd have been mad if they all vanished and I didn't know they were a day spawn lol
Amazing! Thank you.
U pick 2 of my favorites lucario nd Umbreon so thank u bc idk how to get the shinys for them u honestly did me the biggest favor so again thank u so much
I did 120+ date resets waiting in the Gardevoir spawn area and never saw one :( I eventually just camped out at a Kirlia spawn with a fairy sparkling/encounter power sandwich and managed to get two shiny to spawn! (Although I had the same problem with Kirlia only spawning in daytime!)
Don't know if you saw my comment, but I've figured out that if you go to the area of a likely spawn, THEN use an encounter sandwich of the type you're looking for BEFORE you start skipping days, the specific type of Pokemon is more likely to spawn. When I was looking for Tinkatuff, I went to a ruin area in the NW of the map, used a steel encounter power lvl 1 during the daytime, and within 10 day skips got a mass outbreak to spawn. The habitat influences spawns, but so does a sandwich that adjusts your encounter rates.
This is great information! Thank you! I'm assuming this still works on version 1.3.0?
Does going in battle if for exemple à Pokémon run towards you and battle, does that reset the knockout countdown ?
This is how you can save yourself some time with hunting Zoroark. No name checking required. Just have to know your spawns and behavior. Based this off my own experience seeing all these pokemon.
Socarrat Trail pokemon behavior:
• Sawsbuck, Skuntank, Honchkrow, and Mabostiff only spawn in groups with their pre evos.
• Slaking and Fortress won't have any reaction other than looking at you.
• Leafeon will run away.
• Spidops and Heracross will attack on sight.
• Lurantis and Amoongus will react with "!" but then look at you
• Sudowoodo, Toedscool, and Toedscruel only spawn standing still or standing by a tree respectively.
• Jolteon will just stare at you
• Bramblegeist will ignore you and keep rolling
• Zoroark and Raichu will react with "?" and just look at you.
If this exploit still works, you can also just save your game, restart, and look around. The Zorua/ Zoroark or Ditto should be revealed in the overworld now. Though idk if that's the case for mass outbreaks.
Hello, when EV training? Does it have to be only two stats? And how to know if I overdo it in other stats ? Thank you. Just confused if I have to ev train it depending on the nature?
Another tip if you're shiny hunting, is that your pokemon will not auto battle shinies, even if it's zoroark, so if your pokemon refuses to battle a random pokemon, it's a shiny zoroark
What Pokémon are you using in the clip where you’re fighting the gardevoirs?
I did an Espeon hunt yesterday and IMO having to wait for daytime really sucked. You def saved yourself some time doing sylveon and not umbreon
can you do a video of how to manipulate raids to get certain HA pokemon? Tryna get a HA indeedee rn
Thank you Mr Philly steak man I can now plan my hunt to capture the shiny version of pawmi
I should do this, but I've never tried to do the next day thing before,I don't like messing with my date and time on my switch, maybe that's just because I always forget the date and time is at in the system option and I'm looking for it for 20 minutes or so (XD (I'm extremely forgetful) so I usually just like to leave it alone, but I really do want to try this at some point, cause I do seem to have pretty bad luck with outbreaks and I do want to try to shiny hunt in a mass outbreak
Thanks man, I didnt know that.
Great shoutout to n9kai, dude’s voiceovers are pure gold
I love him lmfaooo
I stumbled into a Froslass outbreak and decided to farm the shiny, cuz why not, and I was going about the 60 KOs when at about 30 my Go battler refused to battle the next one. At first I thought it was because of the slopes because that had been happening, so I moved to a more level place and sent it out again, but it still refused. But then I noticed that the "obi" was purple not red and went "oh wait that's the shiny". So yay. As was doing the Chansey farm and one of them was green... Went welp and a shiny Chansey get
While i get your point it makes infinitely more sense to hunt the base forms of the mons. If you get dupes, you cant go backwards, but you can go forwards!
Would this even work with pokemon that hang out in the trees, like Bounsweet? I'm not even sure if Bounsweet can be found in it's shiny form in the tree, but I might just be unlucky. I do have the shiny charm and eat for shiny power too when searching for it outside of an outbreak.
What level do you recommend to auto battle and which pokemon to use
You could've posted this video yesterday when I had a Lucario outbreak! I ignored it thinking it's common! 😭
Lmfao I’m sorry
I find that Zorua, Zoroark, and Ditto are alot easier to get with shiny by using the sparkling sandwich
Thanx for the link to the Serebii page
I tried this multiple times yesterday for Hatenna but for some reason the outbreak never appeared :( I also tried doing it for a much easier Gyarados outbreak, and while the outbreak appeared, no shiny Gyarados :(
There's so strong physical evidence to support the claim it's more of a theory that being in the environment and doing it will help.
Is there a specific weather or daytime zorua spawns? I've gotten zorua outbreaks atleast 4 or 5 times Now but every time I go to it, there is no notification saying I found the outbreak, and no pokemon spawn, the pokemon that do spawn aren't part of the outbreak, am I doing something wrong?
Once you get the mon you want, save it. Even if you turn the time back after, you’ll still have that mass outbreak so don’t forget to save before and after
So turning the time BACK doesn’t effect the outbreak spawns??
What if you put back the original date after you have caught the Pokémon you wanted ? Will it affect your gameplay?
I have a better tip that I did last night you don't need to do the date skip I been trying that for hours and with no luck but as you said in the video located the area where the Pokémon you want spawns (Also if you have the shiny charm will help out a ton) then go into your picnic and use the 3 lvl encounter, spawn, etc for the sandwich of that Pokemon type I tried this for Fairy to get Gardevoir and the area spawn only Gardevoir and Ralts wasn't even an mass outbreak I defeated 70 of them and kept running around and resetting my picnic and moments later I found an Shiny Gardevoir with ralts caught her in an moonball. Hope this helps ^^
I prefer this method too. Date skipping has felt wrong since the Animal Crossing days
Question does it work on early game or it have to be end game
Do you wait in their spawn area and change time? I want a Smoliv outbreak but all Im getting are same mons everytime I change time
I have a question. If you catch a Shiny Dunsparce and evolve it, can you soft reset the game until you get a 3 Segment Form? Or is it’s evolution Pre-Determined before you evolve it? Just curious.
no you cannot
Isn’t this the same method as before just with the added step of going to their location then date spoofing??
Did they remove the synchronize effect for natures in favor of mints or no?
Doesn't seem to work for "biome-specific" pokemon. So for instance Falinks and Tinkatink only spawn in ruins. If you go to ruins that are lit up in the pokedex for them, and time travel, you don't have an increased chance of that outbreak happening.
I have yet to find a shiny in an outbreak or using a sparkling/encounter power sandwich. I found 6 shiny Pokémon in an hour by just walking around. I think that is the best method 🤷♂️
In that hour I found: Scyther, Lokix, Gogoat, Kricketot, Paldean Wooper, and Oinkolone.
Just walking!
I found a shiny Vaporeon during the mass outbreak, it took some resets but it was worth it. But I have two questions about just the outbreaks themselves.First, If I made a shiny sandwich for a Pokémon I'm hunting, can picnic resets work as well?Second, if I made the outbreak disappear on accident by auto battles and auto save is off, will a soft reset make it come back? Apologies if these sound a bit dumb to ask.
I have to lower the volume on my phone when playing your videos. I don't know why so many people who are gaming RUclipsrs need to yell their info. Maybe it's the energy they need to have to get their message across to kids, but regardless it's always been a curiosity of mine. Since IMO I'd enjoy it a bit more without having to turn my volume down every time I come across gaming videos, especially ones about Pokémon. I do appreciate how informative your content is.
My mic is all sorts of messed up
Quick question. Does this method work with out the shiny charm?
Thank you! I managed to get a pawmi outbreak
Does this work for all pokemon on the serebii table because I might be the only person but I'm trying to get a pincurchin outbreak and no luck yet doing probably 200 times
I feel like n9kai gives out the info first but everyone else just says it louder and ends up on my recommended😂😂 thanks for crediting like everyone else does idk why he never ends up on my recommended
I had to add that he works his butt off! It’s because he’s just starting off. As he grows he’ll be in recommended
Are you able to still use picnic method to find shinys after the update?
Omg decided to take on the zoroark challenge with its mass outbreak. I found a shiny with only encounter power lvl 2 sandwich. No sparkling power or herb used. I’m still in disbelief
Is this with or without shiny charm? I’ve redone this method over 30+ times to find a shiny Flittle and haven’t gotten one… I’m also doing the herba sandwich method along with it and nothing.
Is there any tip to get a dudunsparce outbreak? Serebii says that dudunsparce is in the list, but it doesn't spawn outside of area zero, and outbreaks won't spawn until you exit if you use the day skip in there.
Fortunately Dunsparce is in the list, but still.
Question- Does starting a picnic *in between* the knockouts you do (30 to 60) mean you have to start over and do those numbers again? Or can I spontaneously make picnics throughout?
And can I knock out ANY 30-60 pokemon if other kinds just happen to be in my outbreak or does it have to be 30-60 of that outbreak pokemon alone? Sometimes other 'mon get too close and I wind up knocking them out accidentally. I hope that doesn't ruin anything..
Did you find something about this? I have the same doubt, I already did the picnic reset for over an hour. And still nothing, wondering if this happened because my mon defeated other pokemon than the one I'm hunting
@@anibalqw No one responded yet unfortunately. But I did two separate Psyduck outbreaks yesterday and got 2 shinies from each. I mostly just remained careful not to knock out other 'mon until *after* I made my 60 outbreak knockouts just in case- and I still got a shiny to generate after a number of picnic resets.
Picnic resets do not reset how many Pokemon you've knocked out in an outbreak. The number of Pokemon you've knocked out (and the increased odds) will stay until that outbreak ends. Whether that be by the date changing or knocking out all the Pokemon in a given outbreak. So you can leave the area, beat the game, picnic, or whatever and you'd still be good. Hope this helps ease your worries! :)
Zoroark and Zorua and ditto are easy to find after the initial encounter(s). Go to dex habitat and focus most mons and you'll find 2 or 3 each time
It was hard for me 😭
@@PhillyBeatzU how come? O.o did you not encounter them prior? My bf first encountered ditto in a raid so after he figured to use the habitat feature in the dex.
i was doing them wrong you was right.
I got lucky with a Lucario outbreak in my first few days and ended up grabbing my Super Saiyan
TYSM I HAVE BEEN RESETING FOR 3 DAYS BUT I CAN FINALLY START SHINY HUNTING BRELOOM :)
Hey! Can you share that link for Serebii?
Iron valiant swooping in off screen like “NO we aren’t doing that meme!”
Do the 60 knockouts stick? If I'm doing a night spawn only, can I leave the map?
one thing i dont hear discussed with regards to time skipping, is that does the days you skipped to, get those outbreaks locked in? like say i skip to tomorrow and get a riolu outbreak. if i go back to todays date and play the game tomorrow, will there be the riolu outbreak? same question with regards to the auction house. if i buy stuff on tomorrows date, does it affect tomorrows items when it rolls around?
John that’s really easy to test yourself.
Any word on this? I've had the same question. Like if I skip a few days to get an outbreak and go back to the actual date, will I get new outbreaks when the date changes or will I have to just keep skipping forward past the date I skipped to.
Related question from a Breeder: Does eating a Shiny Sandwich affect the status of the eggs as they appear in the basket, or later as you hatch them, or not at all?
Unfortunately sparkling power has no effect on eggs
While not from an outbreak me and my friends used a Dark type shiny sandwich near Medali and we hunted for Zorua there I found 2 of the little foxes in the half hour!
Does the pokemon zorua disguises as show up as shiny?
@@toastywozzy No, it does not. Also if you find a shiny ditto, that will also not show up on the overworld. So there is a very good posibility that we all have run past a shiny zorua without knowing
@@UnableToucan i am very certain i have passed by many shinies of many species without knowing it
Best tip thx
I had a Vaporeon outbreak but I sadly lost it without being able to do it. I was helping out others and I thought I would be able to do it tomorrow... Also I don't time travel so I guess I can't do this.
When I saw this from n9kai I reset for azurill/marill/azumarill outbreaks and managed to get 2 shinies before my sandwich effect ended. One tera fairy and the other tera normal which I changed to water.
Because when you have your lead pokemon out during auto battle, it will NOT knock out the shiny pokemon in the overworld. And that's still true for disguised pokemon, like ditto and zorua line.
Do i have to be within the spawning squares of the pokemon im hunting ?
if you catch the frst evo of a shiny pokemon and evolve it you can get more shiny pokemon encounters in your profile
Dude, I was at the water titan when I found this weird thing, I'm not kidding I freaked out when I saw like 10 or 20 dodonzos coming at me, idk if that was the duplication glitch or this feature, I've never been this freaked out in playing a pokémon game
Me too is scared with big things in water so i know that feeling 💀
Does this still work after update ? Also, does it work on emulators or just on switch? Because I've been trying on emulator and it won't reset the map after skipping days,I'm not sure if the problem is the emulator or the update or what
This method is the same just with added details which I known and still didn't receive any valid new information. There are other RUclipsrs who have made a video explaining the time changing method and explained the location to save at in the same video already. Anyhow very awesome video anyways. Thumbs up
My absolute favorite Pokemon 💙
Anyone looking for Umbreon I got my shiny in Dalizapa Passage using shiny sandwich. Only them and Sableye spawning there so it didn't take long. The most awkward part is the timing as they only spawn at night.
please put tips how to get dreepy shiny. I've defeated hundreds and done shiny sandwiches and resets but still can't get one, please help.
For people that don’t like messing with their console time settings, this trick works if you save before 11:59 and keep resetting. I’m sure it’s faster this way, though.
Cool tip. I never date skip and never will, but I will park in my chosen Pokemon's zones overnight to help this.
can i ask why you don’t dare skip?
@@mrcrapucinno it just feels cheaty to me, and once I start cheating in a game it ruins the immersion for me. Plus the game lasts longer if you are patient, and it gives you something to look forward to tomorrow.
Hey dude, I think there’s some sort of issue with your mic setup. I’ve noticed that in all of your videos the VO is choppy, almost like it was sped up and has a bunch of popping artifacts. I work in audio, so I can’t help but notice these things haha. Figured I should say something because I’d wanna know if my videos were having some issues. Great videos though dude!
Yeah Im using aa XLR mic on my GOXL and I may feel something is off! I am using a Rod Pro Caster. Any suggestions on how i can do the setup?
@@PhillyBeatzU unfortunately with audio, it could be ANYTHING in your setup. Bad cable, bad power cable, bad input on your interface, etc. I'd try recording just your audio in a free DAW like GarageBand or Audacity and see if those issues persist. I have a feeling this is actually a video rendering issue within OBS or your video editing software. Best of luck man!
I also got a Lucario outbreak and got a shiny lucario from it thnx
does this method mess with online interactions like trading? After that can you go back and put the current date without any problem? Thanks in advance
As long as u stay offline doing it. And whenever u finish or decide to go online n trade. Change ur timer back to automatic.
You can change your date in front of the Pokémon and catch it
The first outbreak I went for was Magikarp, got a shiny, but haven’t gotten an outbreak shiny since…
