    the speed is actually a 100% wasted stat if you'll just use it for the farm.
    the fastest mon you'll face is Hassel's Noivern which can reach a max speed stat of 209 (perfect IVs, speed boosting nature at lvl 67), while Chi-Yu reaches 236 with 0 investment EV wise.
    additionally 25 Vitamins will only give you 250, so to actually max iz out at 252 you need a 2 feathers for the respective stat of 1 more bottle of vitamin.
    So the optimal Chi-Yu imo would be 248 hp, 252 Sp-Atk, 8 Def, Modest Nature.
    Simply give it 25 HP Ups, 26 Sp-Atk ups and 1 Def Up.

    • @superman15922
      @superman15922 Год назад +27

      @@wizkid5555 well why go that far and not just modest. Attack is literally a useless stat on a special attacker.
      of course you could do that, yet since it clearly is a special attacker why not just go ahead and ignore the physical attack stat, as you'll never use it anyways and since modest is + Sp:Atk / : Atk it's perfect.

    • @superman15922
      @superman15922 Год назад +5

      @@domy6503 i actually looked through basically all the available pokemon we have right now and I gotta give it to Chi-Yu. The combination of decent bulk, a really good Sp-Atk stat and an amazing ability just make it the most consistent imo. Obviously it can be K.Od in some neiche scenarios, yet no other mon (that I have tested or theorycrafted at least) doesn't also have this issue.
      the thing is, that Chi-Yu is even consistent without the use of Choice Specs, so you can use the Amulet Coin for extra money. If you want 100% consistency though, just slap choice specs on it and you're good.

    You do not need to bottle cap chi-yu's atk stat since it will be a sp.atker. This is also good because getting confused and hitting yourself is based on your own atk stat so you want it to be as low as possible when you're making a sp.atk pokemon.

    FYI Chi-Yu has a chance to lose to Dendra's Hariyama if the Hariyama crits. It's not a high chance, but there is a possibility.
    Japanese players have been using Sylveon, and that can beat everything 100% with no chance to lose any matchups.
    Specific setup and specific EV spread is this;
    Lv 100 Sylveon @ Amulet Coin
    Ability: Pixilate
    EVs: 58 Def / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
    Modest Nature
    IVs: 31 All, except Attack.
    - Hyper Voice
    EVs need to be set up as above to get the 100% win rate, especially the speed IVs and EVs to make sure it outspeeds Penny's Jolteon, which has a chance to para if you don't.
    Just spam Hypervoice vs everything. Can even setup an turbo-hold controller spamming A while you are AFK and it will farm money for you.

    A single vitamin is 10 EVs. Max EV in one stat is 252. If you wish to max quickly and money is no object for you, then yes, use 26 to overflow into 252. Otherwise, it takes no time at all to EV train manually if you have the brace/lens of the appropriate stat (which guarantee 8 in the stat for the Held Item every fight, plus 1-3 depending on the pokemon you beat/caught). Feathers give you 1 in that stat.
    You can only have 252 in two stats at a time, with 6 extra points somewhere else. 4 points are needed to actually increase your stats, but that's super easy. If it's HP, go fight Chanseys or Makuhita/Hariyama. If it's Speed, go under Alfornada and beat up some Salandits.
    If you still want to buy vitamins but don't want to waste too much money, then buy only 25 for the stat, then go to Cassaroya and pick up some feathers. They can be found in the lake AND around it. As a note, the game will not let you use an item that you won't benefit from, so you can just hit the down arrow when it asks how many you want to use as it will cap out how many you can use automatically.
    Except with Berries. Don't max out the Berries to reduce a stat unless you're less than 200 EVs. If the EV is maxed (sparkly) then use 11 (the first berry will reduce by 100), but if it's below 200 you will have to use more up to 19 berries.
    Btw, using the feathers instead of extra vitamins saves you like 30k, which adds up as you train more pokemon.

    when doing ev training manually does the pokemon you want the evs on have to be the one that knocks the pokemon out? or does it just need to be in the team?

    • @biccus2
      @biccus2 Год назад

      Just needs to be in the team, and not KO’d.

  • @Cheerwine091
    @Cheerwine091 Год назад +32

    More Notes!:
    1: EV Training is stupid easy, don’t feel pressured to buy drugs for it! Just use the power items
    2: Don’t have any other pokemon in your party! Then you get the change pokemon prompt!
    3: Invest in Def, not Speed! That saves you the problem of hariyama(which can kill you with 2 crits. Unlikely, but that % of your money is not worth the risk.), and you already outspeed the fastest enemy pokemon without investment.
    4: Don’t bother raising your attack with a bottlecap! It is exclusively harmful to you if you get confused for some reason, since confusion self-damage is based on atk. It’s not beneficial!

    Edit: forgot to say that you still need a duplicated miraidon/koraidon, give the item to dupe on the duplicate in your party, hit return to ride form on the duplicated pokemon then after that go to the box, hit x twice to get to the battle box section, then there should be a box with miraidon/koraidon as the box name.
