For every amazing piece you see there's about 5 horrible ones from someone else. Remember everyone's constantly learning even if they're at different stages and the most important thing is to have fun and make what you love! I mean, if your struggling with torsos, you could draw them using circles. Like, draw a circle on top of another, draw a smaller circle in-between the first two, connect that circle with the top circle to define the rib cage, and then draw a trapezoid around the bottle circle to define the waist. Its actually pretty fast and easy to do, but a pain to figure out.

I have always loved my art, but something has always felt *wrong* with it. Like, something I'm just not getting right, or doing correctly
I always, always thought it was my proportions, maybe my lines weren't stable enough, maybe the brushes I was using were wrong-
I finally figured it out. You put it into words
My drawings don't *look* 3D. They look flat! It didn't matter that I was shading them, or that my lines were stable, it was that my drawings were *flat*.
I have been drawing for about 10 years now, I've taken drawing classes and art classes
You helped me figure it out. Just a few minutes into your video I figured out what I've been doing wrong this whole time.
Thank you so, so, so much. You have changed the way I draw forever.

I couldn't understand looking at it as cylinders. My brain couldn't imagine the 3D shape of it, but you did say it didn't have to be cylinders. I tried a blocky version with cubes and rectangles because it is basically the only 3D shape I can comprehend. Now, I can finally draw with better proportions. It's a miracle. I even figured out how to draw from a higher perspective using 3 squares instead of circles which I had seen before. I prefer to draw with a more rounded look, but when it comes to laying down the sketch it seems I need to use squares and rectangles to understand the 3D shape. Now I can finally improve in my art. I was at a point where I couldn't improve anymore because I couldn't figure out how to draw proportions and perspective. Thanks to this video I figured it out. I am very much happy right now 😊

I just got back into drawing myself. I have always compared my art to other people, and it brought me down and forced me to give up. I finally found your tutorial on anatomy(one of my main downfalls). I love your art style and I hope to follow in your foot-steps

I'll be honest, this is my 3rd anatomy video and I think the one by David Finch was a bit better for me, but BY GOD. THE WAY YOU DID YOUR HANDS WITH JUST A LINE FOR FINGERS IS LIKE A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH WTF-

No way this just worked, I was 1 minute away from having a melt down because I've been practicing art for so long but I can't draw bodies properly, the problem was I never had a teqnuiqe but my hands are trained, this really helped me and I can literally draw bodies without it feeling out of proportion, thank you for this it's really a life saver!!

I’ve been trying to learn anatomy and clothes for about a year now and I feel like I’m getting no where, I appreciate this video! Sometimes practice isn’t everything! I hope once I master anatomy I can move on to wonderfully terrifying foreshortening!
    Best of luck artists 💛

I have always loved art and I can’t tell you the amount of art body tutorials that I’ve watched but i can tell you that this one has been by far the most helpful for me. Recently I’ve stopped drawing bc my art just never feels good enough but this tutorial inspired me so much and i plan on practicing more often and knowing that not everything has to be perfect. Thank you so much! 😊

Your tutorials are always so helpful aaaa, I need anatomy rn bc I just started my first art related class like ever so perfectly timed
Your characters look so... natural I guess; they look like they just sat there and any moment they're going to get up and walk off, the posing feels so real I guess

I finally decided to sit down and learn how to make my anatomy look the best it can, it’s one of the many things I want to improve on art wise. I watched a few videos before hand before this one but they didn’t exactly help me like this one did. I love how you broke down how you do your anatomy and how you imagine different parts of the body would be, you gave me more tips I can use them all of the previous videos I watched together combined. I really needed this and hopefully with enough practice, I can make my anatomy look better!!

    OML THANK YOU- I find almost all your techniques so helpful for me since I’m mainly a visual learner QwQ and I usually like to understand basic concepts first but most(idk I haven’t found good ones that are short;;) of the videos I saw on youtube was for beginners ;;
I have been using rectangular shapes for my anatomy drawings so seeing how well the cylinder technique worked I tried it out and it was more fluid rather than stiff! Also I always started drawing faces with a circle so seeing the mask technique I was SHOOK- I have never heard the explanation for it but I saw many references similar to it so after hearing how it worked- I’m definitely gonna try it òwó
But overall, this video helped me a lot after I saw one of your speedpaint videos and noticed immediately how experienced you were just by the anatomy XD
I’m also struggling a lot with art block so again- TYSM!! I really hope there’s another video tutorial! Maybe about perspectives? Because I’m trying to master that with anatomy and scenery!
