@@lmullett4106 I don't think this happened at his home. He was a guest in the little girl's home. He was traveling evangelist, so wife wasn't with him. Parents put him in guest room never thinking especially in 1980s that he would summons their 12 year old.

It's an abomination that is done to females from infants to elderly. Every story is horrible but at least the lid is coming off, particularly in the church. That was my target I'm working on to wake leaders and police agencies up! It's a very toxic and intricately woven sick weave and getting separated from the abuser can prove very difficult and sadly sometimes deadly. Thankfully in your case, thankfully, he had a position that he had to break away from you for, if that's any solace.

I hope, but not crossing my fingers, that this will draw more attention to the sexualiziation of our children. ESPECIALLY Drag Queens who Groom children, but Law enforcement just Yawns and looks the other way.....STILL.

I believed for 3 years now that God is calling us who will use our voices, as He did with Esther, "For such a time as this." (Est 4:14). Evil is only going to increase, as will, sadly, domestic violence (DV).
The church is a most difficult crowd, they tend to blame the victim because of course, he's absolutely CHARMING every Sunday morning (as was the serpent to Eve, still is, charm is his best tool). Of course, its illegal to be abusive, so they don't see that side of the monster she has to stay in "fight-or-fight" mode with, as do the kids and pets.
The church prefers to quote "God hates divorce" and send her back to the abuser. There's NO WAY marriage counseling works when DV is going on.
The courts are overwhelmed. I'm pretty familiar with the judicial system, arrest warrents, Protective Orders, I have a contact with the AJ's office DV dept, and associated with a large DV Advocacy group out of Austin, DA's, lawyers, etc. How could we get to talk privately? Unfortunately, this happened to me also, and I still wonder til this day, how no one in my family knew, especially my Mother. After years passed and I discussed this with her, she said it was my fault.

As a mother of eight, 8, children and four of them girls I can not understand how a mother and father that found out about the abuse of their daughter did nothing to make sure that justice was done on behalf of their daughter! She was still a child!!! I DO NOT care that he was a pastor and he said he was sorry and that he repented!!! Justice had to be served!!! If a pastor had committed murder in the heat of the moment and then he repented he would STILL have to be tried for the murder!!! There are consequences to SIN!!! NOW in saying all of this it seems to me that Cindy Clemoshire was a victim at 12 years old that should have been protected by her parents and by the church!!! Now as an adult her motives are very suspicious!!! I will explain WHY!!! The abuse happened from 1982 - 1987. So from 12 years to 17 years of age she was abused. In 1988 she turned 18 years old and became an adult and then she should have gone to the police to get justice for herself because the adults in her life did Not do it! When she saw that Robert Morris was still a pastor and was not being held accountable that is when she should have gone to the police!!! Instead in 2005 when she was 35 years old she tried to take MONEY from him for what he did to her and ended up with nothing! He refused to give her any money! THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT HE COULD HAVE GIVEN HER THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN AWAY THE PAIN AND THE MEMORIES OF THE ABUSE HE INFLICTED ON HER, NONE!!! So why NOW after ALL THIS YEARS at the age of 54 years does she reveal what happen to her when she was 12 years of age, WHY NOW!?!?!?!

What I want to know is why her parents didn’t report this to the police. In the article Cindy said her dad threatened to call the sheriff unless Morris got out of the ministry. Why was that good enough for her father? A crime was committed against his daughter. When Morris came back two years later and told her father he wanted to go in the ministry. She said her father had no further association with him after that. Why didn’t he follow through on his threat and call the sheriff? She was wronged by Morris but the lack of justice she received falls to her parents. They were her legal guardian at the time and it was their responsibility to report the crime against their daughter. Do you think Morris would have went into the ministry if her dad had followed through with his threat to call the aithorities?

I was trapped by a child molester in a underground hidden in one of San Francisco's major parks and had to beg for my life. That, however, was pale in comparison to all the social ridicule and shame that I received from school peers while growing up in an unchurched but loving secular humanist family. I attended 11 different schools trying to escape the vicious rumors. Long after I came to Christ and had forgotten the shame, I was disciplined unfairly for hollering back and was falsely accused of spitting on someone for which I was outcast and given a box of ministry tapes I had already humbly submitted to learning repeating the course 3 times and even taped myself. Although I was unfairly thrown out and suffered unimaginable monetary and social losses along with trickle down i would not pass down in quantities no one would or could ever imagine nor believe. I only say this because it came with support from a senior pastor at Gateway who honestly thought he was doing what was morally correct not knowing they had believed a false accusation from someone who harbored hidden issues against me. Issues I knew nothing about at the time. My point is that God has healed all those deep hurts and many, many more, and I have no annomosity even though neither my loses nor reputation could ever be rightfully restored. There is one consolation. The fortune went into the hands of a Buddhist who has possibly spent more than anyone else rescuing young girls from sex trafficking. I too have sinned and grieved God immensely and am not proud of it. Carrying grudges and unforgiveness is unproductive and deadly both personally and to others.

He was actually allowed to sleep in her room while a guest in their home. Of course she slept elsewhere in the home but all someone needs is access if they want to do harm. repentance has been done already by Pastor Morris and God uses anyone that repents. The child's father did not press charges because his daughter was also complicit and wanted to save her reputation. Any child know what is being done is wrong. ANY 12 yo tell a friend that is a girl to stop such an act. She did say no to intercourse in the car so why not say no to going to the car or being anywhere alone 365days x4?? I hope the child now a woman realized her deep lack of peace with this is because no one has heard HER say she was responsible as well. It is a sad story. I hated my sexual abuser for years, even after becoming a Christian I struggled to forgive.
My unforgiveness caused me to sin in many ways, and it caused a bitterness in my heart. Finally, when I turned 40. I went on a quest for healing.
First I tried group therapy, but it hit a dead end. Then I tried counseling, but I quickly backed away from it. I realized that I could not trust any counselor. I asked Jesus to be my counselor, and so He did.
I found that Journaling gave me a way of communicating with the LORD.
The reason nothing worked until I turned to Jesus for help, is that He knew I needed desperately to forgive my abuser, and He led me to do it in such a way, that I felt love and compassion for my abuser. Hatred was gone and I prayed for his soul.
Yes child sexual abuse is terrible, but it, like any other sin, it is forgivable. And I would warn someone against unforgiveness. It leaves you vengeful and in danger of judgment yourself.
You have no idea the condition of Cindy’s heart and whether she has forgiven her Molester. Forgiveness does not mean a victim cannot seek justice or tell others of the abuse. You seem to be equating forgiveness with being silent.

However, Scripture tells us that we’re to obey the laws of the land. There are consequences for broken laws & crimes committed, & that includes for Christians as well. Morris needed to repent Biblically, remove himself from ministry, & turn himself in to the authorities for the sexual crimes he committed against a child for years. You reference John 8:1-11, which had to do with Jesus admonishing religious law leaders & some self-righteous, when they wanted a woman stoned to death. Not applicable here. Maybe you could reference Matthew 18:6, where Jesus said if anyone hurts a child, they’d be better to have a millstone wrapped around their neck & thrown into the depth of the sea.

King David could not build the temple because of past sins- being a man of bloodshed. MOSES could not enter the promise land because he hit the rock in anger. These are the greatest men and they were disciplined by God but forgiven. This pastor could have been forgiven by God but that is not by the law or by Christian law- no way would God allow him to continue to lead read the New Testament folks.

I reported my childhood sexual abuse after 43 years. It is going to trial. That is because here in South Africa the prosecuting authorities are clued up about the research done into the longterm effects of childhood abuse and they recognise that victims can take years to disclose. Please educate yourself on this too, because your comment adds to the reasons why victims keep quiet. And also educate yourself on the facts. She was offered money and declined it. WHY do people like you always jump onto the money bandwagon as a false accusation? But there is never any elaboration as to who might be paying her money, neither is there a scrap of evidence to suggest that.
