Last week at my local driver range, I tested this club out...it is SOLID. If you are getting fitted with a full set of Taylormade driver and hybrid, then this 3-wood should be in your bag. The price should NOT be an issue given its performance. I tested it vs my TS3 and I had zero issues with it. An outstanding 3-wood for sure. Lastly, thank you for also showing us how, once again, the importance of using a ball that suit a players skill level.

Recently got an m5 just after the golf season ended (usually done in October). In the sim, going from my Callaway FT to TM M5, I've gained 30+ yards in max distance, average is much better as well. Really love that club, especially off the deck.
Now, to try it on a real course and see if that translates.

It's notable how straight the M5 was. Spin related im sure, but 295 in the fairway all day a wonderful thing.

It’s cool to see I’ve drawn some of the same conclusions in my game that these tests confirm. I have similar swing speed to Matt and always struggled to elevate a 3 wood off the deck. I ended up dropping 3 wood from the bag and going with a 5 wood. 5 wood I can turn over a draw with ease off the tee and where driver I mostly fade. Also now I can elevate it off the deck coming into par 5s. I Carry about 260. No courses I play do I need a 275 club coming into a par 5 and hitting 260 off the tee is plenty of distance on tight par 4s.

Taylor made clubs have advanced so much since 2000 . In 2000 I worked for two companies the first super alloy technologies in Australia and the second was Techtronics international in northern Thailand ( finishing house ) We produced the Taylor made TI Bubble & Ti Bubble 2 . Along with king cobra and many other titanium 2 & 4 piece clubs . Taylor made was produced using a solid titanium billet hot forged into the club finished of with a crown key hole welded to the body . Not to mention a lot of cnc work .

I have the epic flash 5 wood and it's easily my favorite club. When I'm not hitting my driver well, which is often lol, I can count on an easy 230 yards with no concern for a big miss. It feels the ball is being shot out of a canon. Looking to try the epic flash 3 as a driver "replacement."

Tried all the others and ended up with the M5. Fell in love with it because the look at address looks like my V steel 3wood. It was hard to replace old faithful. Tensei orange stiff flex shaft . I replaced the grip with a golfpride x4 mcc ALIGN . The ALIGN grip is a good reference for the hands. I have both the 3w and the 5w this year and have dropped the 3W in favour of playing the 5w as a 17* 4 wood essentially. Around 10y shorter off the tee which shocked me but longer off the deck and much easier to get launch (still have to watch the wet ball or grass interference that cuts spin even further, flyers are a feature of this kind of club). I found the 3w great off the tee but hard to get going from the floor. I play off a 4 index and have never struggled to hit 3w off the ground, it’s actually a favourite shot of mine. Make sure you test this thoroughly before you buy the SZ version.

Hey Ian, you say that the accra tour z extreme is one of the best shaft profiles for fairway woods you've worked with. That's really interesting because shaft companys often times label shafts as "wood" shafts, not distinguishing the profile as inherently better for driver or fairway woods. Yet companies find it necessary to design shafts specifically for hybrids, driving irons, iron sets, and wedges. I'd love to see a video explaining the different needs in shaft profiles between driver and fairway woods.

Great video gents although the taylormade wasn’t far off the callaway I think the £100 extra will put a lot of people off. With that £100 you could upgrade the shaft (if needed of course), have lessons etc the list goes on. Callaway hands down wins this for me so far with the closer competitor being the ping.
Also a side note. Can you do the callaway driver vs the old epic drivers? Be cool to see if there was a difference between them rather than the flash v rouge which seems everyone has done.

    Hey Gents
Great video as always, I have a question that y'all touched on briefly in the beginning when talking about Tigers ball striking and his ability to work this club in either direction. Do you think that this twist face and its profile would decrease the ability to work shots in either direction ? I feel that the EF subzero would have the advantage there where in its technology is working from behind the face and doesn't actually change the faces profile, is this a misconception ?

Question about face durability on a Driver. Recently I cracked the face of my Ping G driver. I had bought it second hand and had been hitting it for about a year and a half. The crack occurred half an inch from the top of the face and spanned across the entire length of the face. I am assuming this is not a normal thing and was wondering if it comes down the the tolerance of the materials and mass production.

Hey guys, I know your getting a swingcaddie sent to you.
ruclips.net/video/vOoipRcGV3w/видео.html Rick shields did this video.
But the question I felt it didn't answer well enough is how consistent it reads ballspeeds.
Because if it can track ballspeeds accurate on iron shots you can calculate yardage easy.
And you can then use it to see when you hit your number in a practice session :)
When you hit X ball speed with a good strike you then know it go's Y.
If you can answer this in a little bit better I know a lot of people will appreciate it myself included :D
