Three things. One, you guys bring life into the science of golf and how adjusting shafts, lie, and every part of the club to affect ball flight, I love it. Two, Matt has one of the smoothest swings I've ever seen. I wish I could find that kind of rhythm. And three, I have never taken cobra seriously as a golf club company. For whatever reason, they have never looked serious to me. Noone ever really played with Cobra clubs besides Ricky. But I tell you what that F9 has caught my eye. That will definitely be my next driver.

Never been a cobra driver fan. Always found they felt almost dead off the face, tried this and it’s just phenomenal. The sound is outrageous. So very tempted by this one
His swing is just so efficient - just so much potential coiled up there in the top of the swing and then just.....boom town. Well done on getting that fit so dialed in

I’m speechless! What an amazing demonstration of how important it is to get fitted given the player and the complexity of current golf equipment. It leaves me to ponder how much the efficiency will improve given a shaft that is also been pured.

Got fitted today for this. Tried Epic Flash, was the same as my M2, and the ST190G which I wanted to work but just didn't. The F9 with Atmos TS Blue 6S added 3.8mph to my ball speed and an average drive up nearly 8 metres on the M2. This and the ST190 reviews were the clinchers for me to find a new driver. Great stuff guys.
I keep saying it, but this is just next level content lads. The problem now is how disappointed us people who don't have access to txg will be when getting fit again.
There are many great club fitters out there...just make sure you do your due diligence with your first fitting. Us the vast amount of info here to your advantage; most of all, do not leave any question you have on the floor. One thing I can assure you, your first fitting will NOT be your last...I know mine is not! Moreover, I'm finding out that after my fitting this past December, I'm more in tune with my gear, swing and how it is being represented on the course with each shot. I have a strong feeling, six months from now, I'm doing another full bag fitting.

Very impressive with the focus on speed through head aerodynamic and face speed versus just face speed makes me think other will have to follow suit. Never thought Cobra was an option, but changed my mind. Keep up with the great content, love it!

Over 300 yards of carry, that's insane. Way to go Matt !. It'll be awesome to see your golf swing in slow motion and how the club's face reacts when striking the golf ball.

I marvel at Matt’s speed. Can’t see where it comes from. Not long or crazy laggy. He doesn’t seem to be a big guy. And nothing looks like it’s moving quickly to the eye (even as smooth as Freddy is, you can at least see his hips moving quickly, and he has a long arm swing). Guys who move a club or a bat or a ball with more speed than it looks like they should have always amazed me.
Matt, it is remarkable to see how both your swing and ball speed have jumped since you started working with TXG. Ian, you are a club-fitting genius! Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the TXG golfing community!!!!!
I bought this driver off the excellent review you guys did. I had a Taylormade M3 and decided to give this a test at my local PGA Superstore and the results were great. Thanks for putting out such quality reviews and all the in depth information. I also had my stock Titleist 718 CB’s checked and ended up with some sweet Moutus 105 shafts. Honestly, what a difference.

Great vid. This club looks like a real leader so far especially with the lower price. It’d be interesting to see your 100 mph chs tester hit it and maybe with the stock shaft options vs the fitted shaft options so we can see the value of custom shafts.

I am a believer in shafts making a difference and it's based on personal experience. I got a 2016 m2 3w with the stock shaft in stiff. I couldn't hit the thing consistently and was barely getting 230-240 out of it. I went to the local shop and asked what they had from pulls. All they had was an Aldila 110 msi rogue. Literally the first time I gamed it I was striping it 250 plus and it's only got better over the last 6 months. So much so that I can't even beat it with my driver and now I'm trying to find a new one. The only thing that changed was a shaft that suits my swing better. I also changed my driver shaft to a project x hzrdus and eliminated some shots I have been trying to get rid of for a year. No lessons, no swing changes just different shafts. So for me it makes a difference. Same thing with irons. I'm a nippon guy it appears, other shafts just don't seem to work for me. Great video again!
Love the details you get from a great fitting. I had worked with a few recently. Found the one who wasn't just switching clubs, but really helped tweaked the shafts from the stock to ones that were in my budget. Ended up with a G400 with Aldila NV 2kvx orange to help increase my spin numbers... Of course, I want to try that Cobra now

Really cool to see the behind the scenes work Ian was doing adding the lead tape, measuring swing weight etc as part of the fitting to dial it in. Love hearing the thinking and reasons for those kind of things. Thanks again, awesome video!

I’ve watched this video 4 times now, and I don’t understand why this driver isn’t in Matt’s bag. This is EXACTLY why people need to get fit, and this head/shaft combo is perfect for Matt. PLEASE tell him to put this driver, or even the Ping G410 plus, in his bag IMMEDIATELY!!!

Nice work guys...I fitted into a G400 LST with the PX HZRDUS Black 75X a couple of months ago, but after watching this, I am 2nd guessing myself. I'm very tempted now to try this head/shaft combo. WOW!!!
Congrats on another awesome video! That's the first time I've seen you guys adding lead tape. It'd be interesting to learn about that and/or hot melt for different swingweights, etc.

that ball speed was amazing - and not just on center strikes. Across the whole face was fast. Interested in finding out how you tell if a player needs high / low spin for driver as this was critical in finding the right fit for Matty...
Have a custom F9 10.5 deg (18 gram + 2 gram weights) with a 44" Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 shaft. Really love the heaviness of the club.
Brilliant video lads a fantastic insight into the world of how a shaft can make a huge difference as my old mentor once said to me there is the perfect shaft head combo for everyone just go and get fit.

tested f9 on indoor launch monitor, off the shelf it went 5mph faster than my current f7....and I'm a stiff olf fart with back issues :)

I can't believe it, that was amazing. The whole thing Matt's delivery, cobras technology, and Ian's ability to dial it in. Really interested to see if gains can be made with a slower swing speed player. My daughter needs help in that area. Great job fellas!!!!

This club has me intrigued...I am a low striker on the driver and the loss of ball speed often means my Cobra King LTD 3 w is the club of choice. And its 150 bucks cheaper than the other new releases!

First video that finally convinced me of the value of getting fit for clubs. I live in BF Nowhere. There are no good club fitters that would spend this kind of time testing different shafts and finding what is right for you. Around here some guy says you swing 109? Ok stiff shaft and lets make your club stupid heavy and you're good to go. A trip to Canada seems very extreme from the east coast of the United States for a club fitting. Probably walk out with the best set of clubs for me and a divorce if I'm not careful about it.
Guys i had to get back in on this topic. I was able to try out the F9 this weekend and was blown away. I am a high spin player with not a lot of ball speed. 250/60 is where I live on a good day. Swing speed is around 104 tops with spin up around 3000 plus on average. With my new TS3 i gained some yardage and touch 270 total distance but don't live there ( love the video where Ian talks about living there lol) . Now with the F9 I hit distances i only dream about. Carry was 270 plus and total distance was up in the 290's and that was consistent. One carried 281 total 308. What i don't understand is that my ball speed was still very low at 147 average. spin was 2700. Machine was not showing swing speed. I don't think the machine was rigged. When another customer came up to watch i got nervous and started with the high spin and dropped a couple down in the 250's again but calmed down and was back up in the 270 carry again. 9.0 head with atmos 7x shaft. I have to get this driver now. reason i did not buy it on the spot. When we went to order the web site shows a tour head??? I want to know what is this tour head before i buy anything. Do you all know what the tour head is compared to the normal F9?
i can see the relevance in this for whomever. i think that everyone can increase their ball speed. i have hit 124 working with larry and 171 ball speed. normally sit at the 119 mph mark, i am excited to try this and see if i can get similar improvements

I was hitting this today and the 3 wood at my local shop with stock shafts. Felt soooo good. Might make the switch from an m3.

I think this should be revisited after a full year of golf and no injury. I know new drivers will be coming out soon but still a great experiment. Hard to believe he could hit it much better 😂
Most interesting point to me is that the tee height at the end of the video made as much difference as the shaft. Great video lads. Cobra should be paying you! 👍
This is insane. It makes me wonder what Cobra Golf will come up with in the future to beat this thing. Miss-hits at that speed still send the ball flying so well.
Oh how I regretted not ordering the F9 by the end of January for the 10% discount. I wished this video would have come out sooner and I would have ordered the F9.
