    Pretty spot on review. It's an amazing car. Fortunately, even if it doesn't succeed in sales, there will always be a Genesis dealership to always have parts and Service to keep your Stinger running good, even if they discontinue them. I have a feeling that even if it doesn't sell, it will be a desired product in a few years in the used car market, just like the Toyota Supra in the past. When I bough my Supra in 1994, is was a sales failure. But years later, it was loved by a new generation. We will see what lies ahead for the Stinger GT.

    I went to see one they have on display at a dealership in NJ. The car is even more impressive in person. I owned a Pontiac G8 GT for a few years and was absolutely in love with it. I like the looks of this even more. Upon sitting in it and seeing it in person, I can say, unless I'm not thrilled with it when I get the chance to test drive it, I'll be buying one this summer. (not that I have any reservations about the fact I'm going to be giddy once I hit the throttle!)

    If the Kia logo bugs u. Install a “K”logo that I can buy from a K5 store. I truly wish Kia would use that logo on their cars. But whom cares Kia makes some bitching cars now. I know...I own a 274hp Kia Optima SX model 2013 and I love it!

  • @dandrelewis2541

    Most people can't stand the fact that Kia wants to become something bigger. The badge of a car shouldn't be judged. And you can always replace the badge with a CK of K3 Badge.

    I like this car so I went to a Kia website in the City where I'm from since, I'm currently living in South Korea. The Price was $52,888.....I went back to looking at used Audi A7s. This car is still in my list Stinger, A7, and Camaro.

    Even though I want a midsized truck (Chevy Colorado Z71 or ZR2) as my next vehicle, when I saw this come out I thought well that is an interesting entry into the 4 door sports sedan/Grand Tour segment of vehicles. I for one would LOVE to have one of the GTs even the regular GT doesn't have to be the GT1 or GT2. I do like the looks and performance of the Dodge Charger, but there are so many out there now. I also learned to really like the Chevy SS sedan with its sleeper status and all when I worked at a Chevy dealer, but it is only RWD and I would get the Kia in AWD since I live in the Ohio Valley region about an hour and thirty minutes away from Pittsburgh, PA so there will be snow and ice for at least 3 months. There just are not many options that have that kind of performance and styling for under 50k out there, well at least not new. Definitely one of the best looking cars out there and I am not scared off by the badge, I almost bought a Kia Optima, but a year later had to go with a Chevy Cruze (which I like as a daily and go to work car) so I like some of their cars and absolutely LOVE this one. If only I had the $$$ for this and my truck that I want, heck I wish I had the $$$ for the Colorado let alone the badass Stinger GT to boot. Great review as always.

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 6 лет назад +4

      It's actually considerably worse than the SS, in terms of performance.
      fastestlaps.com/tracks/willow-springs-streets-of-willow
      The Chevy SS is 3 seconds a lap faster on Streets of Willow, which is a very small track. The SS also has more power and more torque, has an LS3 V8 which sounds a lot better, has Magneride adaptive shocks which are widely recognized as some of the best adaptive shocks in the world, And you can get it with a manual transmission.
      So I'm not sure what makes you think the Stinger is a better car than the SS.

    an awesome design ruined by a weird add-on light bar that has no real design purpose. If you edit it out (in Photoshop, for example) - the car looks 10x better. I find it a tad expensive, as well, but only time will tell.

    • @TheHooniverse
      @TheHooniverse  6 лет назад

      Wojciech Siewior so on this one, I typically shoot at 24p. But some of the automaker b roll might’ve been different. Plus we shot some drone stuff and I wasn’t in charge of the settings there. Usually though I’m at 24p right in the camera. I may switch to 60p for Shift Happens videos

    • @AJtheSwede

      JoCo Dashcam Depends on where you live, Dodge cars have to be imported (sadly) in Sweden. So they can cost around 70k USD all the way up to 90k (Hellcat). I wish Dodge did what Ford does and built some cars here in EU. Would bring the prices down, would probably sell quite well too :)

    $50,000 for a Kia with less power than a Charger R/T (the car it copied). Good luck with that Kia, good luck with the impending massive depreciation too.

    • @acidnut
      @acidnut 6 лет назад +17

      The slow R/T? You mean the ScatPack? Many sedans have less HP than the Scatpack that costs more so what is your point? Dodge is at the bottom of the reliability list.

    • @ALMX5DP
      @ALMX5DP 6 лет назад +8

      Yeah and not sure why he believes that KIA copied dodge. I thought it was pretty obvious where KIA got their inspiration from, namely the other liftback Europeans like the BMW 4 GC/3 GT and Audi A5 sportback. Charger is a fullsize sedan that is nearly 10" longer than this, on a decade old chassis and engine and, while a decent value proposition, still lacks when it comes to handling and refinement.
