Nice man, that’s no joke she was crawling at a snails pace. I had both 801 /802 so I decided to take the 801 and do a green 802 kit conversion w/ hitch etc. still have the bed also. Might make the option to be a dumping bed. I run a lot of trailers etc for my construction rc Conversion line so I was going incorporate the 801 into the line up. The 802 I sold for more than I paid. Hg rigs are definitely stepping it up also have the hg 407 humV great rig. Haven’t dropped the coin yet on there newest “explosion proof rig”.
The battery location on my Cross RC MC8 - similar proportioned truck, works pretty well in a box at the front of the bed. It is a bit high but the long wheelbase makes it far more tolerant of battery (3s 3k lipo) location. I do remount it at the back of the bed when I run a different load out, and it doesn't seem to affect it much. This HG is a beautifully turned out rig I must say.
There's a ton of detail on this one for sure. Now that I've run it for several hours, I'm happy to say it survived, and all is well. I think it's a pretty decent rig actually.. with gearing mods of course.
Now just put a bluetooth speaker and a gi Joe with a flamethrower on the back and you got a doof wagon !! Always appreciate learning about the coolest hobby!!
yeah I'm glade you finally took the bed off. these videos are great. but now it has a very high pitch wine that I don't care for. what is that from? thanks.
Sorry! Sometimes the mic on the camera or phone picks up that high frequency. Usually that's from the brushless motor ESC making that pitch of a sound.
@@GCMRacing1 year don't be sorry. it's just if I buy one I would like to do what you did because I thought it was to fast also. but I would have to figure out a way to get rid of that sound. but thanks for the reply and the video I learned a lot. I also like what you did with the battery compartment.
The info and links is in the other video on this truck, the build up video. I used a Hobbywing 1060BL I think it was called.. and a TenShock6 motor. In 1st gear it's totally usable slow crawling, because we put in the GCM transmission, which is super low geared.
I’m going to differently do that battery tray modification. Thanks
Excellent work and love that transmission.
Glad you enjoyed it, sure did work great in this rig!

Love it. Looking forward to seeing the trail video
I love those 8x8's, but I wish it came in 1/10 scale
It would be 25 kilos if it was 1/10 scale.

This will be a good test for the durability of the LRT with having to push around 20 lbs. of RC.
We have done way worse to this trans. This will be the easy test!
I need this lower Transmission
